    Wow, fascinating! Love the steam gauges! And your expertise and obvious affection for this veteran jet. (I fly a ‘46 Champ, hand prop, so love old school.)

    I learned a lot from this presentation re the Citation II from
    a very beautiful captain, my son kept asking to see the TH-cam clip over & over at least this is documentary-like not some empty movie. Good job Mr Johnson.

    Beautiful aircraft and helpful overview. I'm currently 2.5 hours into right seat and looking forward to any chance I can get to train up to PIC. Going over the systems now, and trying to digest all of the intricacies! The engineers had fun with this one. Thanks for the info. safe flying.

    Really great video. Was thinking of looking at a Super II presented to me. This brought me up to speed, and answered by questions. Seems like a CJ2 or CJ2+ is a better choice on the used market.

    Looking to get an SII someday. Heard the engines were almost impossible to get. Cool work-around you did. Yeah, heard the TKS was the one downsides of the S. A lot of airplane for the money though.

    TKS leading edges are also made from stainless steel verses the aluminum heated leadings as TKS can be corrosive to aluminum. Stainless has a very good corrosion resistance.

    1:30 The chines on the nose wheel are to stop water/snow from going in the engines.

  • @kelseyshackelford1985
    @kelseyshackelford1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Those rain door right below the windshield are a nightmare for mechanics to adjust!

  • @kelseyshackelford1985
    @kelseyshackelford1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Actually Aubrey you were close, but the reason to the the chines are on the nose wheel is not to deflect water from the belly, rather to deflect water away from the engines..prevent water ingestion on landing or takeoff risking engine flameouts.

    Try using a fluid morph to cover those jump cuts of use broll. It makes the watcher think they’re having a stroke. I’ve used fluid morphs to cover jump cuts in avid media composer for 20 years on everything from tv news, to corporate video, to large studio feature films.
    They recently (few years ago) introduced a version of it on Adobe premiere. It’s not as good but it’s fine. What they do is morph the image between the cuts to make it disappear. Just like the Michael Jackson black and white video face morphing. But since it’s the same person in almost the same position, you can make a seamless cut.
    You can also play around with the position of each in and out frame to help it as well as control motion vectors. th-cam.com/video/ML1kKzzipwM/w-d-xo.html
