Small curiosity:
"Ethen Must Die(EMD)" is an obvious reference to another game series of Capcom, Devil May Cry, more specifically, the maximum difficult of the games, "Dante Must Die" which just like EMD is insanely unfair and hard. This reference makes evan more sense because Devil May Cry only exist because of Resident Evil.

I watched this after me and my mom got back from Christmas Eve mass on the day this was posted. What a great way to celebrate Christmas by watching you beat Resident Evil 7's hardest mini game Ethan Must Die. Whenever I get to the end of the video where you finally beat it, I feel like you should have had Sweet Victory playing at the end because you totally deserve it. Good job, TheniskelLP. Two big thumbs up.
Resident evil 8 has to have Ethan Must Die in Romania Village. Resident Evil 8 has its own default “hard” difficulties so I wonder how Capcom will make Ethan Must Die with all the enemies and weapons you can get.

15:50 yeah I walk in and guard also and I figured that out which is so much easier but I still havent beaten this yet the farthest I have gotten was Margerite and after I used all of my ammo on her but the part i hate the most is going back outside and having to fight the fat molded by the fence now that is where I usually die at when and if I am able to get there again.
I love the realization 35:17 it's beautiful because you know the small pause there was his anger and realization of his situation
i know this is a year old but at 32:00 you can see the bomb through the holes unless its bulletproof glass you should be able to shoot it

It took me about 5 hours and 100 deaths to beat it once. I fell to my knees with tears of joy. Now I can beat it pretty much every try. I never thought I was going to be able to claim victory on this one.. 🙌
I beat this with three shots in the magnum, 10 enhanced shots in the 1911 and one shot with the double barrel

I'm late but...Ethan went goblin slayer mode on the opening screen
Granted this was three years ago, I just beat Ethan Must Die myself, my strategy when dealing with the fat molded, I wanted to save the ammo I had so I played a bit of ring around the rosey with it and went into the door. And regarding the strategy of guarding to protect against the trip bomb, it works. Yes you need to be full health and there has to be NO OTHER BOMBS near the trip bomb. Thanks to watching this video, I utilized a lot of tips and tricks that helped me defeat this behemoth of a game mode. Now I don’t ever have to do it again.😂
Ethan Must Die might be more manageable if they also added Backpacks to the Item Drops. That and if they also removed the 4 legged crawlers from the game altogether, I’ve died at that corridor more times than I died at Marguerite or the Boiler room.

I want to say that I have the most hours on this game mode than ANYONE in the world, I'm actually the world record holder for the no statutues world record.
It was SO SO nice seeing this video and your excitement, as a person who's tried to beat my own record for a year, it's just too frustrating, I have to go through 100 attempts only to reset the game because the luck wasn't good enough.
I'd really love you to see my world record video and maybe do a reaciton video to it.
Do you reckon you'd do that? please can you let me know, the reason why Is because I honestly think that the ethan must die speedruns are too under-apprecaited, i put in a lot of attempts and so much stress.

What the hell? I didn’t earn the achievement after I completed the Ethan must die mode but any idea why it’s not giving me the achievement yet? Or is it a bug?

I thought it was seriously fun.
Because I knew it was the last piece of DLC I'm glad it was really hard.
I didn't mind that it put you back to the start every time because it's only like 10 minutes if you do it successfully.
About 10% of the time you'll get so unlucky with the boxes that it's nearly impossible to complete.
But the rest of the time you have a good chance. And about 5% of the time you'll get so lucky that it's almost easy.
You just need to remember where all the regular bombs are. No help with that.
One time I got so lucky before Marguerite that I felt sure I'd got the WR time for the fight with her.
It was a few seconds. But I don't have any screen recording software on my PC.
I got it in the first day. But when I came back to it later I was having real trouble with it.
I think the first time my fear was giving me patience. But after beating it once, I lost my fear, therefore my patience, and couldn't get it again.
I got so angry at this with the amount of great stuff he missed
Its actually fairly ez i have beaten it twice recently and you just need to have strong healing and the strong chemical to make enhanced bullets (for the albert) and the strong heal Marguerite is the final boss meaning yung need to hit her using the albert (using the enhanced bullet) and if you have a m21 shotgun and the burner it'll be simple to beat you just need to remember the bomb layouts
Just started Ethan Must Die myself the other night, and my word. I managed to get the Albert at one point, got to the room where it locks you in to kill all enemies the first time… went to open the door, and the four-legged aggroed with the kill shot ruined that run. And I died so many times after that I think I lost the Albert. I am following your advice as well, pacing myself and only doing a run with only one hour.
Still easier than ninja gaiden
Fun fact: you don’t actually have to kill that fat molded in the basement! You can just juke it then hide behind the table, wait for him to come to the other side and vomit then you can skip past him! (The reason I know this is because I had no weapons but the knife and was desperate to get away because I had the secrets and essence of defense as well as the x - ray glasses)

Recently beat this mode and my hands were shaking once I beat it and quick tip if u only see one bit of tape on the box that's always a bomb and u could use those to kill enemies and the mode itself gets more easier the more u play its just that final boss that's difficult with all its traps and extra hit points for the boss
I sound crazy but it happened: I one hit a non damaged molded with a pocket knife. Not kidding

fun fact on the stairs where the bombs are theres only two and you don't have to trigger them with a weapon you can go in between them

I never got the circular saw ever in Ethan must die so you might be wrong unless you unlock it after completing Ethan must die at least once but I dont know though.
No it's an item in Ethan must die but it's rare since it's so strong I went through most of madhouse just by using the circular saw
