About 15 years ago when my wife and I were first married, we didn't have a ton of disposable income. I saved up and spent NINETY FIVE DOLLARS on the now ESEE-4; the most I had ever spent on a knife at the time. Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin knew there were plenty of us on the Bladeforums subforum that weren't buying a knife a month, not a chance. No problem, they started doing wilderness skills challenges, winner gets a knife; get outside and practice some skills. Debris shelters, makeshift snowshoes, dress an animal, etc. I won more stuff than I could have ever justified buying at the time and honed a lot of skills doing it. Good people.
Im super close to pulling the trigger on the magnacut version of this for $169 i can't belive it but the seller is legit imma jump on this its exactly what ive been looking for
After years and years, I still don't understand the scout carry thing. It gets in the way driving a vehicle. It gets in the way carrying a pack. It's uncomfortable and awkward. Does scout carry actually exist outside of TH-cam?
@@Hammer1978 Make a video of it. A knife with a 12-inch blade is 17 or 18 inches overall length, not even including the sheath. A fit adult make is about 15 inches wide at the waist, so that would be sticking out on both sides.
I really like the look of the Sencillo. It is just the right size and shape for an outdoor knife, but no kydex for me. I would have to make my own leather sheath. Thanks 🎸🔪
I wish ESEE would make an ESEE 3.5 with the length of the 4,the thinner blade stock of the 3 and MagnaCut steel..I would also like to see them make a smaller tactical knife.something like the TOPS CUT 4.0 with the finger ring,in MagnaCut and could easily be mounted to the shoulder strap of a plate carrier..I would just use the CUT 4.0,it is the perfect design but they only have it in 1095.don’t get me wrong,I love 1095 but I would rather have it in a good stainless
Seriously ive said this many many times. Prices are getting stuppid . Knife companies are gonna create their own demise. At some point they will hit the tipping point when people just say nope. Not gonna buy another knife . Then there will be a bunch of knives in empty buildings sitting on shelves collecting dust.
My dislike of this video didn't have anything to do with The Knife Center, which is my go to online shopping center for anything bladed. I've been following for years and can't get enough of your content. My dislike was for this uninvolved, seemingly uncaring spokesman and the disinterested way he carried himself during the walk through of this lazy offering from esse. Disappointing.
I had no issue with his presentation, watch some of the other videos like BladeHQ, SMKW, etc and you will see other presenters. S.H.O.T. Show is primarily a gun and hunting trade show, many of the knife manufacturers wait for Blade Show for most of their new releases.

Now that same presenter has to say the same thing over and over dozens of times for all of the individual TH-cam presenters. Anyone would have trouble sustaining enthusiasm. David probably got to talk to patrick because of the relationship. But yeah man I saw the same thing.

I scout carry my seax which has a 12 inch blade. I use a small pack but you don't pack much when you know much.

Scout carry very much exists outside of TH-cam. It really depends on what kind of knife you’re carrying and your body type I suppose.
I guess a scout doesn't drive a car. Or carry a large pack.
