I've had the music from the first level stuck in my head for 26 years.
Ive had so many NES game music stuck in my head forever! What was it about the music on the NES freaking MAGIC or we were kids & it just stuck?
That one and so many other ones.
Me too!
And me
I've had 21:51 stuck in my head for like 2 days now. Merry Christmas 🌲🎄🎄🌲🌲☃️☃️☃️
Welcome Gizmo, what item would you like?
YES NO
lol
Yes
Lol
I finally beat this game, no continues, no cheats, no tool assistance, just one on one , me against my NES!
What an underrated game. So many memories of this.
I wish I played it back in the day but sadly never even saw it around anywhere.
@@rellik187redrum it was a rare game im surprised we had it when we did. My brother and i were blindsided by this game as kids. It was so intimidating challenging and rewarding, with awesome music
I actually recorded this game and Batman on VHS cassette because of friends not believing i finished the games.
They were very difficult , now yeaRS LATER i dont know how i did it, because i cant even jump and move properly
I second that, it's another hidden gem in the NES catalog. It gives me a huge nostalgia and fun still to this days.
This game is awesome, and from the NES probably the best graphics ive seent out of it, absolutely fantastic looking animation. The sound track is great as well.
when i was a kid. i was actually scared of this game. i guess because of the movie.
The gamę was tough. Camera angle made it confusing.

Final boss was scary.
Definitely an NES hidden gem I was fortunate to have played when it came out .
Thats how it is done.
If you take into account not only that this is a game based on a movie, but that it's based on a sequel, this is a suprising achievement. Not that hard, not that long, but a really fun game, one which I completed several times.
Gizmo sprite looks awesome for a NES game, wish they made a sega version.
When I was little, I was in completely in love with this game. It was thus one of very few games I had ever been able to completely finish. This music brings me back big time =D
One of the NES underated gems. Great graphics, ability to control your jumps and fun soundtrack. Sunsoft may not have had a lot of games, but most of them we're amazing. Oh, and a hilarious movie to boot.
Damm that animated outro is awesome.
This is hands down one of the best NES games on the system.
Batman, Gremlins 2 and Fester's Quest were three absolute gems from Sunsoft on the NES. Probably the 3 best-looking games on that console. And the musics were awesome too!
Only Sunsoft could take a ridiculous movie and make a good game out of it. They're like the anti-LJN.
Allerdyne you mean there’s a movie based game that wasn’t butchered by ljn? There is a god.
In defense of LJN, they did an amazing job with "Maximum Carnage"
Honestly, Gremlins 2 is kind of perfect for this because when you have a ridiculous and over the top movie like that, you can really give a developer license to just do whatever the hell they want, which Sunsoft kind of did here (though actually sticking decently to some of the story beats, and putting excellent effort into cutscenes).
@@anthonytd103 There's a few. LJN wasn't so much a developer studio as it was a publishing label, and though mostly what they did was hire a small studio to just bang out some crap for cheap, occasionally they did hire a talented studio who actually really did give a damn.
My favorite example is True Lies, which sticks reasonably to the movie for a 16-bit game, and has some pretty solid gameplay. It's hard as balls, but the action is really intense and exciting, when you learn the controls and get into the flow of the game, it's very fun.
One Doomed Spacemarine True Lies was awsome!
The sheer simplicity of this game makes it epic.
This is the best graphics I seen on the NES!
Sunsoft overall makes the best soundtrack and graphics for a decent game
@@lucariothehero5009 yes ! Sunsoft had great games. Batman return of the joker, super spy hunter
Gremlins with a blend of Blaster Master.
Impressive on the final boss, with one heart
Good to see someone acknowledges this. Sunsoft's music is legendary though. Batman Return of the Joker and Journey to Silius, for example. JtS was going to be a Terminator game, but they couldn't get the license. Such a shame. Also, don't forget Rare. They made Battletoads, RC ProAM, Cobra Triangle and Captain Skyhawk on NES. All are great games. Try 'em if you haven't already.
I am amazed at how far I made it when I was little. I didn't think I beat the game, but I remember all of it. When I saw the spider Gremlin version, I instantly was back in my room with my friends watching me play. We played this game, then Mario RPG (getting to the ship riddle which was hard when your 8ish) and then Mario 3 all night until we beat that, too. ah the memories lol
Played this game like twice and I still feel that nostalgia
I remember this. I played this game very much when i was a child. I love this game too.
Soundtrack is epic
Resembles "Royal Hunt" at some moments
NXD2 is the password for the final stage, I still do remember it
NXRD
Bought this one for my game collection many years back, truth be told it is one of the best movie to game translations on the NES. Sunsoft's track record in those days was pretty good till the 16 bit era when they started farming their games out to other developers, or licensing some pretty bad games from other developers for release.
I swear 8 bit music was so much better than what we get today. Songs like these and streets of desolation from Batman NES, they’re just unbelievable music pieces
This game had a kickin' soundtrack, though.
Soundtrack - epic, listened with pleasure.
Obrigado! Foi muito bom rever esse jogo. Lembro há 30 anos como se fosse hoje jogando.
this game looks really cool
This was one of those games people dont really remember, but was actually pretty good. Probably wont see many new games like this one ever again since 2d is extinct now. Also gremlins is kind of a gone fad
miss the 90'
I love this game.
Nice to see Gremlins 2 on NES. I like this version.
I just played it on my Commodore 64 on my TH-cam Channel. Very interesting to see that the versions differ on both systems.
Thanks for your video and stay healthy, Andira
Way to beat the final boss with half a life bar left! One of my favorite NES games, Gremlins 2!
this game was epic thanks for the upload
Thanks for posting this video!!
90s games have a certain level of charm
Agreed million fold. :) I still remember this game when I tried to play it with my friends to the end. Always that time the level 2-2 was awkwardly hard. :3
Great video, could not get past the first few minutes before this :o) Love the music to this game :o)
I used to love this game when I was a kid
Wow, the music at the end is awesome!
wow i was have this game in the early 90`s, this bring me sweet memories , thank you very much :)
the cutscenes looks awesome!
I love this music 🥰
One of my all time favorites!
I still have the NES cartridge of this!
One of my favourites as a kid, I never had it but got to borrow it from a friend and did eventually complete it.
I really like the game and the graphics. the company that made the game also made both batman and batman returns on the nes. A true classic. I wish that I was born in the 1900's so that I could experience the game for myself from an amateur perspective.
BATMAN RETURNS was from KONAMI, SUNSOFT did BATMAN and BATMAN: RETURN OF THE JOKER (comic book adaptation)
Return of the joker on nes is way better than the same game on genesis somehow
What a blast from the past!! happy days!
one of the best nes games i ever played
the music is so damn nice
something that you would expect from Sunsoft
Very Good Play 👍👍👍
Dang, this is a great game.
There are really intense moments there...
Why is there so much lava in an office building?
+benfrombelow Budget cuts.
what do you mean
Because it's "Clamp's" office building. Guests need lava, they simply don't know it yet.
Love the graphics in this game.
I've beat that game when I was 12 years old boy, used to rent it from the video store. Now I am 40 years old boy, times flies away.
Good attempt at a 3D platformer on the NES. VERY good.
I know that Sunsoft was responsible for this game, and that SNK was responsible for Crystalis, but the jumping sound seems very similar to that of the Rabbit Boots and the Flight spell from Crystalis.
I loved this game, music is better than I remember
There was a plant gremlin because the science labs were genetically engineering fruit. Maybe you're fighting the genetically engineered fruit. That's about all I've got.
Amazing how this game has the same quality like Zombies ate my Neighbors for SNES
How the heck did you go through the last boss fight without taking a hit? I didn't watch the whole video, but I don't think I ever saw you buy an extra life. Once I figured out those Gizmo dolls in the shop were extra lives, it made the game a lot easier for me.
I remember renting this from the local drug store... two days later my mom is yelling at me it's time to take it back just as I beat it!
SUNSOFT games have some awesome tunes!
Funny how they made Daffy being a magician, throwing top hats while spinning. Guess his dentist role didn't suit well for the Enemy Type.
Awww, memories! ^_^
This game was hard as f when I was a kid. Died so many times😂
quel souvenir mmm
this was supposed to be a really good nes game, looks like it to me.
I haven't played it since back in the day, but from what I can remember, it was surprisingly decent for a movie-based game.
It's pretty good, but it's also really hard. Typical Sunsoft fare, along with the stellar graphics, sound, and music.
I remember this game being proper solid! Great playthrough tho
good job
This was the 1st game I ever completed think I was like 7 or 8
This is one sadistic game
Really liked Gizmo.
This Soundtrack!
I can't believe i wayched this years ago, it's like going back to the past *-*
Nice video! Pure nostalgia to me. Remarkable that I never noticed back in the days that like 99% of the game actually has nothing to do with Gremlins. Hopping tomatoes, bats, moving plaforms.. Name it :)
The tomatoes and bats are referenced in the film.... but i'm not sure what part of Clamp Centre has a bottomless pit and spikes on chains swinging round :P
+Enyalios Dune 99%? Some one never got passed level 2! Actually this game is pretty accurate to the movie. Almost every major scene in this movie is referenced throughout the game.
+Enyalios Dune Valis77 the guy who plays this is a convicted child molester.
Sean Beard vas a seguir jodiendo?
I love how Gizmo can cast a shadow in a big hole XD
The code for the final stage is NXRD
I've never played this game before but saw it in Nintendo Power. It's like a fun version of Fester's Quest (which had gameplay too cheap to be fun).
i remember renting this game back then, hated it completely some few levels in.
love it - I remember playing this one; never got as far though lol
I understand the bats and the rats, sure, and the spiders are pretty neat but what's up with the giant tomatos lol
Ikr
This game uses Blaster Master and Fester's Quest's overhead shooter engines.
This is like a Pocky and Rocky game!
good game...good music
Great game GREAT MUSIC
Still remember the password for the last level :- NXRD lol
exellllllllllllllent souvenir mais cetait pas facile
Amava esse jogo.
The very first game I got when I was 5. Since english is not my first langage, I tought "password" was for writing my name, and didn't understand why it wouldn't work.
It's still one of my favorite NES game, I wish there was more plaformer of this type back in the days.
The first movie WAS EPIC !!!
Unlike alot of people though I REALLY enjoyed this one as well :)
Man, Sunsoft knew how to make good games with liscence titles back then...; not like what it is today. This game was challenging without the use of passwords.
They should bring back Sunsoft and make some good video games again like the good old days....
rellik187redrum haha
Never gonna happen!
There is no “they”!
Sunsoft is gone, they’ll never return!
Sunsoft is gone but not forgotten...
I agree with rellik187redrum
marry chresmas the gremlnes are gona reck your chrismas
25:47 Thought the video was going to start telling me about the nazis! :/
whoa a good if not great movie based game? Just awesome!
It's hard but not impossible. That's what makes this game so good.
