I see a lot of people debating and powerscaling Van Augur or Cracker after this, but the truth is we don't know since this only happens in the anime. This whole scene comes from one panel of the cover storie about the BB pirates. We don't see the fight, just the aftermath. For all we know, the anime could have just gone wild on the Van Augur hype train
Honestly even if this is just non canon feat van has already showed to be more useful member to have on team then cracker.
