Actually jingles... Isn't broken arrow an US military code used by ground troops when surrounded and all available defense possibilities fail and they request any or all available air support??

I've never heard of such time limits either. You can be sure Wargaming wouldn't put anything like that voluntarily. The thing that comes to mind is China and how they are limiting computer time of teens.

I don't know what is more impressive; the playtime limit for the BDR almost being perfectly in sync with the battle timer or the fact Mr. Jingles calling the Controcarro a Obj. 268.
Of course the 268 with the number of times he had to spot his mistake.

Jingles, talking about old time tier difference battles.. quite a few years ago, you featured a battle on the old Pearl River map in which a Marder was the star of the show, winning the battle against Tier 8s.. including an IS3. I think in terms of tier difference battles, this was probably one of the greatest you've ever shown.
Could you remember which episode that was?

this is bringing back the horrific memories of play through the BDR, ARL, and the AMX M4 45 back in the day as my first tech tree in 2013. I remember when i finally did get the AMX 50 B it was the weekend before the Waffentrager E 100 was added. To say i didnt enjoy it would be an understatement lol
I have never seen a better hold down execution than what was shown here by Sgt Broken Rubber. Also kudos to the Bobject for being good support.
To be fair - when BDR had +4 MM, it was still the best heavy tank choice (assuming KV-1 and KV-2 were already separated, and I think they were at the point French got introduced). Armour would not matter anyway, and it had arguably the best gun out of the heavies at tier V. With highest damage and pen.
German short 88 and long 75 had only around 132mm of pen if I recall - close, but not quite.
KV-1 fantasy 85mm had exactly 120mm.
And T1 Heavy was 127mm pen.
So BDR was winning here with 135mm pen, and it had this reputation of high-rolling on pen, apparently - penetrating things it probably shouldn't.
When I started grinding BDR line, it already was +2MM spread. And I admit, I love this French Bun. I had some of the best battles in this thing.
Sure, armour isn't worth crap. And stock this thing is atrocious, which seems to be a theme of early French tanks. But once it is fully upgrade, it is decently mobile for a heavy. Gun is accurate, but has horrible soft stats and DPM - so we have a dedicated second-line sniper, and in that, it actually works pretty well.
Also - high alpha damage for that tier and cheap ammo = good money maker for a non-premium.
That say, I'm a weirdo, who also adored ARL 44 with long 90mm, so maybe I'm talking out of my ass.
Same experience as you and I absolutely agree. I have fond memories of rolling around a corner and one-shotting poor, hapless tier 3s in that thing. All the french heavy tanks were quite nice. Even the B1 was an absolute powerhouse if you knew how to angle (new players not knowing how to deal with you definitely helped). Also loved the ARL, but ran the 105 instead for the increased dps and alpha damage. I got up to the AMX 50 120 before I quit the game entirely.

Pre-buff this thing had WORSE armour than tier 6 ARL - 100 turret, 90mm hull, 40mm sides.
Basically what you've got was an armour of a Panther, with a top speed of a heavy tank, and shape and size of a Tiger 2, and abysmal DPM to boot.
So, you basically get a medium tank that hogs a heavy tank slot in the matchmaking.
The way you're pronouncing "Karelia" like "Corellia" makes me expect to see a Star Destroyer show up at any time.

Sorry for the nerd that is me.... Well the main production facility of the ISD were/are the Kuat drive yards. The Corellian Enginering Corp was mostly into civilian production instead of military.. So see to see a YT freighter aka the Millenium Falcon would be more accurate. 😛 Or the Corellian CR90 corvettes like the first ship shown in Star Wars history: the Tantive IV. and ill shut up now 😉

@@ThomasFuglseth Yes i did see it.... once. and i dont like the movie storywise. It was a checkbox for stuff we allready knew, but didn't know. Thanks to the birth of legends by disney. First decanonizing nearly everything and then try reconning the legends into canon again as if they wrote it themselfs. Thats my main gripe with Solo.
On the EU/UK server there is an optional parental control feature that can limit a minor's access to wargaming games. At least that whar WG says

I fully counted on the BDR loosing his game cause the time limit would just disconnect him and the game would recognise this in a sudden turn of events as killed tank rather than just afk.
Yeah WOT EU servers now have parental controles if you are under 18. Probably to comply with some online safety rules.
That's what that warning was? Does it automatically kick you or just prevent you from starting new games?
@@Gregwing both kinda... at least thats what it says on the Wot Page : once the limit expires you are disconnected and theoretically if you are reaching the limit (ie you are in the last 3 minutes) it won't allow you to join any more games except in bootcamp mode.
@@Gregwing It wont force you out of your current battle. Just prevents you from joining a new battle for the rest of the day. When joining world of tanks it asks for your date of birth and if you are under 18 it requires a separate parents email. There they can control everything with the account.
Nothing brings back bad memories more than a broken rubber.

When this tank was introduced to the game the matchmaking spread had already been compressed to where tier 4 and up were "only" having to fight tanks 2 tiers above them with some very specific exemptions (DW2 and Char B2 only had to worry about at highest tier 5s, and Soviet tier 8 premiums only worried about fighting tier 8 at the highest).

A “Game of Throws” story. My friends and I used to bet on just about anything and everything when we were in college. We bet on the weather, game shows like jeopardy, anything we could. One weekend he had a Madden tourney. There were twelve of us, so we did it World Cup style. Everyone threw 60 bucks in the pot. 20 bucks for 4th place, 75 for third, 125 for second and 500 for 1st. I made it to the finals but was down 13 in the fourth. With 1:24 left I scored and was down 6. Onside kick failed. He had the ball and I only had one timeout. So game over right? He started of running the ball, so I did the only thing I had left. I started talking trash. Calling him a coward and such. It worked. He decides he wanted to score and began throwing. With 40 seconds left, I picked him off and took it to the house. He tries my tactic and tries to taunt me into going for 2. I just laughed and kicked the extra point. 1 point victory. It as awesome, but it ended up ruining my friendship with him.

13:07 in fairness very easy to confuse a Tier IX French light tank with a Tier X Czechoslovakian heavy - they are, after all, both autoloaders

As LT player I did not care about +5 mm cause back then it was possible to scout as it was not just corridor hull down maps.
Also at the time tier 5 light tank guns were much better against tier 10 vehicles

Continuing about the old MM spread. I remember when I started WoT in 2013 (whenever the Chinese tanks had just been introduced) I started grinding down the German line to get the Tiger. When I got to the Pz38n.A at Tier 4 with only 200 battles played that's when I started getting put into Tier 8 games and was expected to scout. Needless to say it was a miserable experience and the day I unlocked the Pz.IV was the happiest day of my life. Similarly when I was grinding the German arty line (no, I wasn't one of those arty players) I remember getting into a Tier 8 game in my Grille (arty at that time only went up to Tier 8 with no Tier 9 or 10s) in which I hit an IS-3 directly in the turret doing absolutely no damage (not even module damage). Haven't played the game since 2016 and don't have any intentions on going back but yeah, the MM has always sucked
I've had a similar game in the AX on that map. Ended up getting about 6500 damage in a sub 4min game. Crazywhat sort of damage a tier 10 med can dump out when allowed to fire on reload!
I remember the first time I ever saw tier 10's in-game. It was shortly after I had acquired my first tier 6 heavy, the KV-3, and the map was Prokhorovka. Needless to say, I was not effective in that match. Haha!
My best guess is that this guy is playing World of Tanks through GeForce NOW with free subscription.
The plus side is it's free and allows you to stream a game in much highest detail your internet can handle regardless of the graphic card. The minus side it limits single session to one hour. Then you have to leave whatever game you're playing and then enter it again. And that sometimes means leaving mid-battle or mid-quest. For example Lord's Labyrinth run in Path of Exile almost always takes more than an hour and if you leave before completing it, you're reset to the beginning so you can't do it on GeForce NOW without premium.
back in the days, the only way to get +4MM in a heavy was a fail platoon, only lights marked as scouts had +4MM as default. But yes this thing was able to meet a Type 59
Nah mate. Back in the day, before the KV was separated into KV-1 and KV-2, before there were even frenchies in the game, tier 5 heavies could get into tier 9 battles, I remembered rolling around with my derp kv and killing both an IS-4 (used to be tier 9) and an IS-3 in a battle on abbey.
So i have been digging and as far as i can tell. IN update 0.7.5, where there were already frenchies, and this update added tier 10 mediums and td's, SPG's were still only going up to tier 8. was when the matchmaking spread was reduced to only up to two tiers up for most tanks, so before that it was different.
@@MrKioderHe is right though, only lights had +-4 mm after the alpha and both beta. The only way to see what you describe was a fail platoon or a major mm hickup maybe early or late in daytime.

Overlord blog with the 6.7 matchmaking spread. The overlord was a dev for wot at the time. So this is a reliable source. Tier 5 heavies can meet tier 9 heavies and td's but not tier 9 mediums, they can also meet tier 6 spg, but not tier 7 or 8.
I did not play the game in Beta, the blog post is from 19th September 2011, full release was the 12th of April 2011.
OH GOD ! Don't Remind me of those days. It Also wasn't uncommon too see a Tier 1 tank pulled into a Tier 10 match. Just so noobs could see what they had to look forward too. And then that gimmick got real. When they started using the T1 too scout for the T10's.
His time limit, maybe do to the country of origin the player is in. Some countries limit internet usage for their citizens.
What's fun is being an SPG defending in an assault game and there are 5 enemies when the clock runs out. SPG Kolobanov's!

I was almost not watching this one, because I associated the title to be another cancercar replay. But it's not. And I am glad I found out. Because that was some excellent gameplay.
Years ago, the BDR G1 B made me give up on the French heavy line. I should give it another try.

3:27 thats the thing I miss most about old 2012-13 world of tanks. You'd see at least 4 or 5 of the same guys in a battle on either yours or the enemy's team every match for like an hour or so half the time. Make friends and rivals lol.

Centurion AX still got it where it counts. The turret front armor isn't made of bullshit Stalinium but with some good angles, the gun is an excellent balance of accuracy and rate of fire to distinguish from the Leopard and the M48, but as sgt broken rubber made full use of, the mobility is excellent for getting the tank to where you want it to go that isn't on a straight flat line thanks it having so much grunt in the engine.

You will be glad to know that tje bdr is amazing now days. No not the armor but due to the he nerf there are only few tanks at tier 5 that can compete with 240 alpha.
I loved the Chaffee in tier 10.

I remember when I was playing this on Xbox 360 back in the day playing light tanks I was finding myself playing against vehicle 3 or 4 theirs night the highest I went for light was tier 4 left 5 alone I wasn't the best at that time so yeah I died a lot
