No matter how many years have passed and how old you are, here is the perfect example that when you love what you do, your talent never fades. David Gilmour is still a star!
I was also there, flew from Ecuador. My sister and brother in law got me the tickets for my 40th birthday. When he played wish you were here I got a tear in my eye… its so much powerful live.
I was there this night and the next night. I flew from Japan to New York to see this concert and it was well worth the trip! It was the best concert I have ever been to! I wish Gilmour would perform the concert again!
Was very fortunate to have been there with my wife. Gilmour and accompanists were absolutely on top of their game. I don't have the words to give due credit to the beauty of it all.

I never knew there was a whole copy on you tube holy shit it’s been 7 longs years it really was a once in a lifetime event and I was there I will always carry this night with me for the rest of my life best concert I’ve ever been to! Came from Baltimore maryland !!
I got confused when you mentioned he's literally in his 70s. David Gilmore's voice in the 1970s is his prime vocal; and, then is not as prime as he got older in the years since the 1970s. Still he does sound good for live music or events rock singer that isn't comparable to the 'ole David Gilmore vocals of the 1960-70s in Pink Floyd.
@@lawrencejelsma8118 I suppose. I’m primarily thinking of 80s and 90s Gilmour because that’s when we have much more live material. His voice today doesn’t really compete with him in the 1960s and 1970s, but I still think his voice aged remarkably well in relation to the periods that came shortly after. He sounds almost exactly like he did in the 80s, and that’s incredible for any singer, especially one at his age.
@@photoniccannon2117 ... David Gilmore's famous voice most favorite: 1973 Dark Side of the Moon album tracks with his voice, especially in Time, 1975 Wish You Were Here album and title song, Have a Cigar, 1977 experimental vocal box in "Dogs, Pigs (I-III), Sheep (Psalms green pastures) 1979 "Comfortably Numb" if only Roger Waters hadn't taken over many vocals in Pink Floyd other 1970s classic heavy metal inspiration sounds.
Wonderful. Thanks so much for uploading. It was very instructive to this material outside a polished production like Pompeii. Even our hero DG is human and makes a mistake here and there. Love the man and love this music.

Gilmour or Waters live is awesome always! My first experience was June 19 1977 Soldiers Field Chicago. 80,000 people were totally blown away that night! By far the best concert I have ever seen to this day☮️❤️🎧
@@michaelgamboa4986 Roger Waters is a good vocalist, a great songwriter and a good bassist... David Gilmore is a damn good singer, a great songwriter, and a brilliant guitarist... ✌️
I have been able to see Pink Floyd 4 times and enjoy their music, even in the old composition in the 1972 Olympic stadium in Amsterdam. The last time I saw P.F. Still seen in the 1994 Puls tour, unfortunately not since. Richard Wright is no more and I understand that it is no longer Pink Floyd but David. Gilmour I have no problem with David is more the leading man in P.F. For me one of the best bands in the world always enjoyed their music, I miss those wonderful times from the 1960s to 1999 of the last century. Thanks David, Richard, Mason and Roger.
would have loved to see this Show! Seen the Floyd a few times also Rodger solos ,my first Pink Floyd Show was Animals and Wish you where Here Tour in 1977 in Frankurt Germany! The Best show I ever saw.
Saw him at msg not this night it was amazing can’t wait to see him November 10th. He kicked ass. Saw Waters two years later and it was good because of his set list was amazing but David is the voice and guitar and will always be the closest to a floyd set.
It’s interesting to hear some of the bigger PF songs in a more stripped down sound, just raw instruments and less atmospherics. Thinking of Sorrow and What do you want from me, Money, Time, etc. Although this is still a pretty full band, somehow just the raw sound of guitar and other instruments is refreshing.
watch the south america 2015 video, 35 mins long with footage of the audience, makes the songs even better seeing the emotion on faces. Sound is even better too
There’s seems to be little evidence he will ever perform again. He’s been posting tons of pictures on his english farm with his wife and even auctioned off one of his black strats. I feel so fortunate to have been here for this show.
@@landonjames6488 He is making a new album. Just because he auctioned off some of his guitars doesn't mean he won't play again. He has a replica of the Black strat.

I can't even express how excited I am to see David this go around. I'm so glad he's still around and able to tour.
Same! Ended up getting two nights @ the Hollywood Bowl! It’s been 18 years since I’ve seen him and I am on Cloud 9!
