Thanks for this video, I had always wondered how to make acorns edible. When I was in 4th grade my entire grade spent months on end gathering and inspecting acorns. We spent that time trying to make them edible. After watching this video I discovered that we had cracked half of the process already. Thanks again!
She has a bit of blue in her brown eye, and a spot of brown in her blue - they're called "cracked eyes" because the irises are more than one color! It showed up kind of funny on camera! ~Kili
I didn't know how either until I tried it! But to be honest, the acorns from our trees were very bitter so I didn't end up eating anything more than I did in this video! ~Kili
I tried this and they still turned out inedible. I boiled them and put them in a jar of water to soak for 2 days and when I roasted them they still tasted horribly bitter!! Idk what went wrong but my acorns look a lot different from these, they are small and bright orange on the inside. Maybe they just have a lot more tannic acid?
Acorns contain Wine elements. Europeans lied about the whole Tanic Acid thing, to make people buy and use their Paper they call money. I'm Cherokee Indian mixed so I know. I eat acorns with no problems. Very Healthy... Thanks.
I'm not smart! lol! when i was little i said to my mom! we should eat acorns like squirrels! i guess my mom was joking when she said they were only for squirrels. i just found out that you could eat them until now. 7 years later!
You guys are the best! The outtakes had me rolling! Thanks for making me laugh so hard!
