@@ParkersReef I'm not surprised 😂 you could have gotten away with 2 xr30s on that tank. At least you can spread them out and run them on lower power to get a really even spread
It’s Saturday morning which means making breakfast, checking the corals didn’t suddenly die overnight 😂 and enjoying a nice cuppa with my weekly fix of Parker’s Reef. Ps my partner thinks you’re a bad Influence because of all your new gear 😂
Nice frag tank set up Sam. I also use Ecotech returns and powerheads on my two systems. They’re easy to set up and are built well. Looking forward to seeing this build come together. 👌
Tank is looking great sir I also have the Cade and have put the MP40s in the now dry Ato Chamber and it looks great. Have a Tunzi Osmolater running the ATO. One more controller to add to your controller board, smile. My lighting was 2 15s and 48inch T5 hybrid hanging from the ceiling.
Amazing! I’m totally addicted to watching your build videos. I am planning to upgrade to a Waterbox soon but I think you might be changing my mind with the Cade...
I almost bought this tank but went the waterbox Frag, the cade was too shallow and eh the waterbox was 1k cheaper, dream is the cade cabinet with the waterbox Frag :)
You can put your MP40's in the back and still use the RO reservoir. You just need to 3D print small boxes that fit the width of the reservoir to put the dry side into them and you loose only a few liters of RO water. I was about to do that on a CADE 2100.
Cant wait for Parkers Frag Store to open... I bought a Gold Torch - copying you from your dream reef tank - Stunning coral - but alas I clearly did something wrong and killed it... Lack of experience / Lack of something, but determined to try again !
Great set up! Are you planning to add a diffuser to your G5’s? I just added them to my G5’s and it’s a pretty noticeable difference. I did have to turn the lights up 15% from the diffusers, but the corals are loving it. Cheers!
Not running a chiller on it? I may have just preordered myself one of these in the new white cabinet 😅. Was trying to decide what size chiller to get for it, probably a teco tk500 or tk1000 as all the hailea models are too big to fit in the cabinet.
Awesome, would be nice if you could have pushed your lights a bit further to the edge of the tank to get better light spread and less of a hot spot in the middle. You will prob need to dial the middle light down quite a bit. I guess you still have the option of running the rails if you wanna spread your lights out more evenly. After all it is a frag tank and not a display tank?
Wow that's a fully kitted out tank, probably a little bit of overkill but yeah, much better to run gear at 30-40% power than at full tilt. Sam, how will you be handling fresh water top off given where you have put the MP40 dry sides?
Awesome video. I recently got a Cade 1800S here in California. For flow I have a MP 60 in one end of aquarium. I want add two to three more 40s or Nero5 to the back of the aquarium. Something similar to yours. Any suggestions, appreciate it. It’s going to be a SPS dominant tank. Thanks
nice setup! The nero's are handy that you can angle them a little, but otherwise - if you have ecotech, why not keep it on the same ecosystem? They are a great pump!
@@ParkersReef Agree. Will stick with Ecotech. Should I go with two or three mp40s on the back wall. Appreciate it. Also I am running 3 Kessil A360x for lighting and thinking of add 2 more. Any suggestions. Thanks
@@nihardjaleel4903 I reckon 2 would be plenty. With Kessils, yep, add more and put them all on some funky angles. Will bounce light off the glass and cover everything that way :D
Very nice looking setup. I'm really becoming a CADE fan! Are the MP40 "Dry sides" in any water? Sure wish some of the high end vendors would offer a single power brick with split-cables to power multiple devices rather than making us have so many bricks...
Hey Sam love the setup! Question about the RMS arms on the back of the Cade, I have the 600 cube Cade where the weir/ato glass partition is in the centre - I was hoping to Mount the RMS centered like you have done… my question is does the partition get in the way of the mounting bracket on your size tank or is the partition in a seperate spot?
Thanks Julian! The partition does get in the way, is in a different spot though on the 1200. It has two and they are right near the outside two RMS mounts
Great video. I'm considering the Cade for my new build. If I can do a test to see if the stand for the 1800s can fit down into the basement. Are you putting any fish in the frag tank to help with pests of algae?
Hey Parker! I'm kind of copying your setup here and I even got a sheet of abs plastic to mount all these 3d printed custom power supply holders onto. Just wondering what did you use to mount the whole controller board to the inside of the cabinet? Thanks!
I'm looking to build a power centre similar so thanks for the video. Do you know where in Australia we can get the PDUs or some similar with plugs on the back and switches on the front.
Did you share your kalk stirring and dosing regimen in any video? I am thinking through a stir reactor inline with ato? I may go kalk reactor separate in lights off time window only.
Does your inkbird only allow a 1 degree variance either way? I was hoping mine would do less than 1 degree variances but it does not so right now basically my tank is in an endless cycle of swinging 78-79, 79-78, 78-79 and so on.
@@ParkersReef ah, looks like it’s all the same variance, as low as .3 C or 1 degree F, same difference so the swing is .6 C and 1 degree F. That’s kind of crappy. Wish they could do a .1 or .2 C variance and a .5 F variance. I guess their hardware can’t be that precise.
I have ran ozone on my main display in the past and are keen to do so on my main display again soon. But waiting for a new bit of tech to come out to make it happen :)
