Hi there folks. I've recently been going through my old patterns to bring them up to scratch, and this particular pony needed a little bit of love. Here are a couple of adjustments I've made to the pattern shown in the video: Tail R7. 2[dec], 5sc, 2[inc, 2sc], 3sc (18) R8. 2[dec], 5sc, 2[inc, 2sc], 3sc (18) R9. 2[dec], 5sc, 2[inc, 2sc], 3sc (18) AND Don't do R22. It's fine without it at this size. If you were making a really big one it might become necessary. Thanks!
How FABULOUS is this!!! I was looking around for a tutorial on how to crochet something like a 'My Little Pony' and I came across this! This fits me to a 'T'. Cute stuff & skulls work for me :)
I'm quite new to crochet and I was struggling to find a new way to hold the yarn, cause it would hurt my hand a lot, especially my pinky. I'm trying to hold it as you do and it seems to work! Also, I've find you yesterday and I love your videos, you are very cute and entertaining! I'm enjoying this Halloween series a lot so far!
This IS so COOL! I like it a lot, just a little bit on dark side, + just enough kawaii! Please continue, yours design are refreshing and originals!.'''i know Halloween is not done yet, but I would likeso much some Christmas designs or winter desighl👻💀💀💀😻
Im glad you like her 😄 When this series is done I'm planning a couple of design challenges, but I'll definitely have some Christmas critter patterns popping up at the end of November/early December 🤫
Hi! These early patterns have a few rough edges to them, but I've left them up in case people still want to give them a go. I'm sorry you're not having any fun with this one. For that row, complete the stitches as written, the row will overlap itself, leaving you with 19 stitches in the round.
@@ComplicatedKnots oh don't get me wrong. I love how your finished product looks. I'm hoping mine is half as good. I'm not giving up just trying to get some clarification on the round. I think I understand what you mean by overlapping itself. I will try it and see. Thanks so much for answering.
@@tsvreiya just continue past the end of the row with the directions. You will go into the next row, essentially overlapping before the instructions on row 11 end.
I love this pattern and I'm going to make it for my mom's co-worker! I was wondering if you could possibly find a pattern to make a Sketanimal the cat one to be more specific, that would be amazing 😍
I’m making mine now! I’m doing the body and mane/tail in pastel blue and white/grey, and the skull is dark grey. The idea is cutesy on the outside but emo AF on the inside 😂😂😂
I'm working on a my little pony pattern for sunset shimmer. I'm totally stuck on the tail part. The tail for your pattern looks like the one in the pattern I'm following, but your directions are more clear and simple. Don't mine me, in gonna use the pattern for the tail. 😊
i wish there were more stillshots of the individual pieces so i could compare them to my own work-- are there pictures like that in the written pattern? i wouldnt mind buying it if it meant i had a better chance to complete this beautiful amigurumi
Hi! While there are still images of all pieces in the written pattern, they are screen grabs from the video. You can clearly see what they look like, but I don't want to promise it has what you are looking for.
@@ComplicatedKnots ok, thank you :D going to your store has made me draw attention to a bunch of other patterns you have so i might just get those instead dfghjk-- ive been slowly working on my crocheting skills and ive done a few work arounds to complete my skeleton horse-- its been frustrating but so satisfying when i get it right. stillshots help me pinpoint the row where i went wrong, but they're not necessary. ive resigned myself to the fact that this is a slow going project for me, but i refuse to give up on it! :D i love this pattern so much- ive got a feeling its my own inefficiency thats holding me back, but when i do complete this project its going to be my most memorable one
Hello! inc3 is "3sc into the same stitch". R3 is 4 repeats of "2sc, 3sc in same stitch", and R4 is 3sc, 3sc in the same stitch, 3 repeats of (4sc, 3sc in the same stitch), sc.
Round 7 on the tail isn't adding up correctly, at least not for me. Is it dec, dec, 5sc, inc, 2sc, inc, 2sc, 2sc? Because that is 17 not 16 and leaves 1 stitch.
Well spotted! Reading the pattern, you are correct, those rows are incomplete. However, if you complete them as written , they will look like the one in the video. If I was revising this pattern I would probably add an extra sc to the end of R7, R8 and R9, but I haven't tested that and can't say for sure that the result would be what I was after. :)
@@ComplicatedKnots so do I skip the last stitch (18) or do I start the new round in it, moving my starting point? Also since that is 17 not 16 wouldn't that throw the rest of the rows and counts off? Sorry if I'm aggravating you, but I'm still new to crochet and want to make sure I get everything right.
@@ComplicatedKnots well somehow working it that way and not skipping the leftover stitch , ends up where it needs to be on the first 24 stitches round.
Hi! They are small glass beads just under 2cm long, and you can find them in places like Bunnings (landscaping, or even aquarium type stores). Ive had mine for about a decade, but here's a link to some i found that are very similar (not sponsored): www.bunnings.com.au/tuscan-path-1kg-17-19mm-glass-nuggets-aqua-blue_p3463146
i keep following the pattern for the back legs to a T and somehow they still come out misshapen and wrong. every other part i make looks perfect, except the back legs. im on my third attempt at a pair and im abt to explode aaaaa sdfghjkl
Hi :) I'd like to try to help if I can, (bearing in mind it's a weird looking piece!). Something that will help identify exactly where the problem is, is counting the number of stitches you have around your piece after each row. Specifically after R3, as that's where you might be gaining a stitch (which would explain wonkiness). Failing that, substitute in "back loop" instead of back post for R3, and see if that helps at all?
@@ComplicatedKnots i think the problem starts with every decreasing round from r5 onward, but it only becomes a problem in r7-- and by the time i get to r9, the leg is too small to make stitches without spending a whole minute on trying to get to them (since the crochet tends to curl inwards). I figured that i was just seeing an incomplete project and decided to follow through to the end, but every time i get to the {stuff} part of the pattern, i find that the leg is so narrow that nothing will fit into it at all. Ive tried loosening my stitches, just to see if that was the problem, but even with loose stitches, the leg is too narrow. I count stitches every round, and they match with the pattern perfectly. My yarn size and hooks match each other as well, and ive followed your advice for downsizing hooks, the recommended size on the yarn, and ive used every size inbetween down to the .25mm mark. i tried to play your video on a slower speed to see what you're doing/how your unfinished leg looks compared to mine, but its still not working. I think i have a better chance using the front leg patterns for the back and hoping no one notices sdfghj, but im going to try it again. tenth times the charm lmaoo

It’s 8sc, then a decrease
it confuses me that there’s numbers before the brackets what do they mean
