One thing I love about the Mortal Kombat series' evolution is how joke character names like Noob Saibot ("Tobias Boon" backwards) and Ermac (originally an abbreviation of "error macro") wound up as full characters with deep backstories. Really shows how far it's come since the original.

Agreed, my favorite thing about mk11 in general is how they made everyone look like actual people. Kuai Liang for example looks like a real life Chinese man. They really nailed the facial renders

@@cactusmalone its intepretation of Bi Han was not bad. He was never considered good at very best he was nuetral. Like Scorpion he was twisted by Quan Chi. It would of made more since to hint at Quan Chi in the movie but i guess they are going in anothet direction which is fine. Bi Han and Scorpion were fine in the movie.

To summarize, Quan Chi worked with the Lin Kuei to exterminate the Shirai Ryu, but went back on their deal by bringing Scorpion back as his spectre. He then fed Scorpion's thirst for vengeance against the Lin Kuei and encouraged him to kill Bi Han, preventing the Shirai Ryu to be restored. And then he brought Bi Han back from the dead as a revanent under his control. What a troll.

bi-han has never been a "good" guy, he was a ruthless lin kuei top assassin... infact during MKSZ raiden told him that he was able to keep his physical body in netherealm only because his soul was already corrupted almost beyond any redemption. Noob saibot is just what bi-han has always been inside.

@@gregohanhero it's not ermac became good, it's just after shao khan defeat, ermac gained self-awareness and chose to support good guys in old timeline and to ally with mileena first and kotal khan later in the MK9 continuity.
About bi-han there isn't much to say about... he was an assassin, out of any moral who blindly followed lin kuei orders, infact he didn't care to fight for outworld forces against earthrealm in first MK.
If scorpion is the manifestation of hanzo hasashi rage and vengeance, noob saibot is the manifestation of bi-han inner dark soul.

the first sub zero becomes noob while the younger one takes on the sub zero mantle. kuai liang for all purposes is the main sub zero. in almost every mk story he is the sub zero featured
