Your hair is beautiful !!! I do mine the exact same way with the exact same curling iron. I’m so glad to see a sister curly girl admit to using a curling iron for them “wonky curls” we all have. Excellent video and demonstration, going to try the twists also. If you haven’t tried VERBs ghost oil it’s a great fuzz and frizz tamer that doesn’t weigh my thin hair down. May God bless you and your family…
Thank you for this video. I also have thin, short, fine hair. I always wondered why my hair was short on my right side. I'm glad to know it is not just me.
My hair is just like yours, down to the cowlick curl that falls over the forehead. I haven't professionally cut mine since COVID. I chop it off myself. 😁 thought I could manage the freeze with a curling iron. Yours looks great.
Hi Renee. I happened upon you on TH-cam and find I love your style from fashion to interior design. Your dogs are awesome. Maxxy is not white but SILVER (technically) and I knew he was 100% Schnauzer before you did the DNA test. I, too, have a Schnauzer , Gabby, who is silver and black and they look just alike except for the color. I watched your video where you promoted your pillow and I ordered one right away. I'm always on the hunt for a truly comfy pillow and have purchased every kind known to man but you talked me into the Natural latex one. It arrived today and I think I'm gonna love it! Pollux is a larger version of my Lucy who is part Jack Russell and part Chihuahua with the same coloring so we have a few things in common. I absolutely love dogs fashion and interior design so I feel we are kindred spirits although about 20 plus years apart in age. Keep up the videos. I enjoy them.
OK - this is how much I just love hanging out with you here, Renee...I'm Swedish, living north of Gothenburg, and I have typical Swedish hair...not blond, but straight, and kinda boring. And YET, I am soaking up your tips for curly hair...and who knows, I may run into a random curly person that will suddenly ask me for advice... LOL ... Anyway - I know your tips help tons of people, and I just love watching your vids, no matter the topic! Big hugs, from me and my dogs in Sweden!
Hi Renee, I just today discovered you, and I love your curly hair! I’m wondering if it’s cut in layers? I’m going on a European trip in September, and thinking a short, layered cut would be the easiest to take care of, and then when I get back home I could start growing it longer like yours. Thanks!
I would definitely get carried away and not be able to stop, it would end up taking up so much time cause I would want to do my whole head! LOL. It looks great!
Luv your hair Renee! My naturally curly hair never seemed to want to grow long instead it usually just grew out like an Afro! Being a teenager in the 70s was a real challenge for me considering all the girls looked like Cher with beautiful long straight hair. My hair back then was so thick I usually had it thinned out and even straightened. Over the years and following a complete hysterectomy at 30 yrs old along with improper HRT, my hair has thinned considerably. I let my hair go gray about 10 yrs ago and all I do now is wash it and let it air dry … but I still often wish I had all that thickness back again 🙂
Sheila… i have spoken your exact words. The style was long and straight. I hated rest period at the pool because my hair was practically an afro by the time it was time to get back in pool. My hair has never grown long.
Love your hair ❤ my hair is curly also, struggle with styling it. You gave such good info on using the curling iron! Thank you! How do you sleep at night with your curls?
Glad it was helpful! I put my hair into a VERY high ponytail (basically on the top of my head). Keeps my hair from getting squished while I'm asleep. And I sleep on a silk pillowcase with eliminates frizz.
To all the curly girls out there Saying NO WAY! and Nope. My Mom told me not to be a Slave of my curly hair....I am beautiful at 70 just the way my hair wants to curl and frizz!~
Have you tried Paul Mitchell root lifter? I will give you more height on top. Love curly hair. My sister had hair like Shirley Temple, but she hated it. She would straight iron her hair.
Great tips! I’m trying to find the exact same iron you’re using in this video, but your link seems to take me to a different model. Is there an updated link you can provide, please?
Hi! The version I have has been updated that's why the link shows a different curling iron. The button placement on my version is bad....I'm constantly turning the iron off on accident. Plus the new version has a better handle as well
Funny story my hair is straight and thick and will not hold a curl. I always wanted curly hair growing up. My family would tell me if I would eat the crust of my bread it would make my hair curly. Needless to say that never worked but my Mom finally got me to eat the crust on my bread. Lol 😂 Years ago I would get perms put in my hair just so I could get curls. Now I just let it be straight and don’t worry about it. Lol. Love your hair! Have you ever tried straightening your hair with a flat iron just curious and wondering what it looked like straight.
Curly hair looks great on you, but it's a lot of work to keep it looking good! I have long hair and since the Pandemic I just stopped blow drying it etc and my hair has never been so healthy! And it's no work anymore 😊
be sure you know ALL the risks with HRT. esp breast cancer. we WANT YOU SAFE. ANYWAY .WHERE DID YOUR CURLS COME FROM .DO YOU HAVE DNA DONE AND ANY AFRICAN IN YOU? IM VERY VERY GLAD YOU LOVE AND EMBRACE YOUR HAIR. ITS GORGEOUS. I have one side more curly than other..i wonder why

Could you take us to the salon to show us what type of haircut you get?
Yup…..exactly what I do with my similar hair…glad to see someone else doing this….always a struggle 🤷♀️
Love it!!

@@beachrose88 it never occured to me to use a curling iron to fix my wonky curls!! 🤣

You are too sweet!! 💕
Such FABULOUS HAIR!!! AGREED difficult to know when to STOP LOL Thank you for sharing!!
It really is!
Love this! Thanks so much for this video. Yes, it’s ok for us curly girls to even things out with a curling iron!
Do you use heat protectant products when using the curling iron?
My hair is exactly like yours at 60 years old !
Thanks for showing us your tips !
You are so welcome!
I’ve ordered the curling iron. I am hoping that’s a game changer.
It makes sense. These other videos show perfect curls 🤦♀️

@vpfreefree7714 yes get layers. My hair took on a whole new life after the layered cut. It makes your curls more uniform, and easier to manage.
I love this video-- I keep forgetting the little ol' curling wand to help-- thanks for this! I love your hair and your channel.
Happy to help! Using a curling iron really helps 😁
Boy! I could never spend time like that on my hair...but you do a fine job and your hair looks nice😊
I would definitely get carried away and not be able to stop, it would end up taking up so much time cause I would want to do my whole head! LOL. It looks great!
It's a challenge for sure! But I only allow myself to fix some frizzy spots and a few sprigs around my face. Then I gotta put it down!

Love your hair! Great video even though I have naturally straight hair!
Hi, when I was younger I would perm my shoulder length hair and it looked just like your hair. How I wish I had your beautiful curls today!!😊
I had lots of friends who permed their hair in high school to get curls 😁
Yes! I loved my hair best when I had it like that too!
I also have curly hair Renee
Yours is absolutely beautiful
Thank you!
You have gorgeous hair Renee😊
Thank you so much
Thank you so very much for the video. I can’t wait to tame my frizz with my curly iron.☺️

Excellent! Thanks for explaining!
I have a friend with curly hair who has gone to a close-cropped style; she looks fantastic. Far easier for her to handle.
Tell us how you comb out after shampoos.

Hydrated Curls is Key to have healthy hair.
It’s very common to have different textures throughout your hair. The struggle is real.
Curly hair looks great on you, but it's a lot of work to keep it looking good! I have long hair and since the Pandemic I just stopped blow drying it etc and my hair has never been so healthy! And it's no work anymore 😊
You are beautiful, regardless
Thank you! 😊

That is old outdated information regarding HRT. For up to date and science based information look up Dr. Mary Claire Haver and Dr, Lisa Mosconi.
