If you want a justification for Heresy Era marines, just say their ship was stuck in the warp for a while, and 10 hours for them, turned out to be 10k years in material world

I played this exact matchup as AoD. Never have I felt so angry after a game as having so many occurrences of shooting them and then having them still be on full health. Pretty sure your only chance to win is 6 assault intercessors.
I feel that not takin a doctrine in TP2 was a massive mistake. That no-reroll aura is only 3" and Balanced on melee and then (with captain) on that gunner could've resulted in both Purgatus and Leader dying.

Ouch, that's the first battle report you've done that wasn't fun. Not your fault! But the Novitiates just felt so overpowered that Vic had no chance. Painful. I hope GW balances them soon.
@@eric_intotheunknown the thing about the team is they can feel overpowered when things like this video happen but one or two dice go the other way and the team can feel super weak. they have to survive the sequence to heal and I have definitely played some games where I've said multiple times I'm not going to spend any faint points because it doesn't matter this unit is dead and just got ran through.
@juicilicious i feel like you can say the same about the other way with angels of death. What is supposed to be one of the strongest ended up doing very little here. With a 3+, this should sound doable, but As we saw, it kinda got ran navigates some bad rolls and actually ended up healing the noviates.

So I've registered for my first ever tournament and I was planning on bringing Novitiaties when everone else is bringing elites. I dont really know how to play them but seeing this gives me hope. That healing and dmg reduction is just..mad and op. Probably going to get nerfed in the data slate though.
I'm getting ready to build my Novitiates, debating with the Superior to go plasma pistol or relic bolt pistol. Anyone with experience with the new rules have any guidance for me? It was good to see them today and I'll definitely have to try that strat ploy combo.
I go with plasma every time. If you're hitting on 3's that means the superior has 5 health or more. Running the plasma hot means you fail on a 1 or a 2 so the maximum damage you can take is 4 so it wont kill you. I like it for the damage profile and the piercing. There's lots of operatives with 8 health so with 4 successes, 2 hits will kill most things because they can only block 2. And against elites, that extra damage could be the difference between dealing 3 3 5 5 vs 4 4 5 5.
Hey guys, I'm a little curious, why didn't the Accurate rule for the Eliminator come up more? Isn't he way above the other guys and therefore gets Accurate 2 :D?
Yes he should have used it for the Hyperfrag and Executioner profiles. He did take a lot of shots with the Mortis profile though and was probably trying to proc DEV Wounds that one has.
No. Actions cannot be repeated in the same turn unless something specifies that it can. In fact, the only one that can naturally do support twice is the kaskrin vox trooper, and it clearly states it can do the action twice in the ability as opposed to every other support ability
@@Red-jr4zp i'm assuming that the operative with the conceal order was charged and the enemy is doing a fight action. In which case, no, the concealed model does not switch to engage. In fact, you can even take the fight action while concealed.
As they said, it's mostly due to how good the eliminator is. He's basically a swiss army knife shooter, with DW (so high damage potential regardless of your saves, etc..), seek light (so you can't just "softkill" him by hiding), frag, etc... all from while having silent on all profiles (so you generally can't shoot him back). Whereas heavy intercessor is strong, but has less utility and is vulnerable to getting deleted by a big melta/plasma roll, basically.
Where in the current rules does it say one can use faith points modify dice rolls? I only see that you have three different acts of faith to spend them on.

Novitiates can just spend a CP to screw over your tacop completely if you pick the Sniper as your champion against them. Champion is not a good tacop. It's okayish against elites not named Phobos but that's it.
@@pontiusporcius8430 Novitiates will very likely not die to a single shooting attack with Defenders and Blessed Rejuvination up, the best option for getting double kills is likely melee. Also a mine likely wouldn’t have protected his home objective, the condemnor could just walk around it.
