As a new player this is SUPER HELPFUL! Thank you! Guides like this for all the different equipment would be great. Love to know about all the different weapon types.
Thanks again. Sharing your videos with my fledgling KT group. We had our first game day and I facilitated all the scenarios in the starter box. We are working on the rest of the "advanced" fundamentals next. Your videos help alot!
Smoke grenades are absolute bread and butter of Phobos Strike Team. You rarely need 4, 2 is optimal, 3 is safe pick. Having those smokes and some stun can make whole a lot of difference
Could you do a video on mines next? I was hoping they'd be covered in this grenade video, but it would help to clear a lot of things up. Like the Votann Yaegirs for example, it doesnt specify that the enemy has to end an activation within 1" for it to trigger so say if my opponent went through it and cleared it by over and inch (providing they wernt in range at the start of activation) do those mines then do nothing? I may be recalling this wrong but some say they must end an activation within X to trigger and others dont, so having this cleared up could be super handy! Thank you and keep the amazing content coming been enjoying everything you put out.
One thing I didn’t see mentioned is that blades of Khaine can throw two kraks in an activation, which can be great with the accurate 1 ceaseless shenanigans. It’s great to just try and kill a marine or hurt two enough to make them easier to kill for the melee ops.
Very insightful a usually. I should think more about taking smoke grenades. Haven't really had a game were I felt they made sense with my Exaction Squad (mostly on Volkus) but I might have misjudged that.
To add to the list of ways to boost krak grenades, Death Korps Zealot and his close friends get Severe krak grenades. With balanced if you also used the ploy.
Awesome video, just some weird questions I have. Can you throw smoke and stun from conceal? Can you throw a stun into an enemy in combat? Can you throw a smoke or stun then shoot? Once again great video, hope the next one is the data slate lol.
I really enjoy frag* grenades with Wrecka Krew using Kaboom to move them to a 3" blast and Severe. If you can get into a lot of models with a 3" blast you can generate lots of Wrecka points for more DAKKA!!!
@@CanYouRollaCrit Drill Rokkits can't. Kaboom requires a Wrecka Krew operative performs the Shoot action with a weapon with the Blast weapon rule. Dassit. Check it out.
Thanks for the analysis! I keep forgetting that Smoke Grenades turn off piercing, so that was a good tip. I also HIGHLY recommend KT players use equipment control markers for things like smoke and mines. It's a big quality of life improvement. Any thoughts about taking Stun Grenades into Felgores? (I agree that they work great vs Wreckas)
Any thoughts on frag grenads with wrecka crew 3" blast with severe against the primary then charging in afterwards with the melee specialists to mop up anyone left afterwards
@CanYouRollaCrit for sure just another option probably only on Gallowdark against horses after the bomb squigs and rocket rack have gone off. And even then I would most likely bring one of each to make sure I can Krak the more important damaging enemy operatives
You forgot to mention that the hearthkyn may be THE best team for krak's as the kyn can get a krak that shoots on 3's with a reroll, accurate 1 with the token, and grudges, which auto convert normal hits to crits
What I'm still not certain about is the total diameter of the smoke from the smoke grenade. With the marker itself being 20mm wide and an inch being roughly 25.4mm, the smoke extends 25.4mm from one edge of the marker and 25.4mm from the opposite edge of the marker. This adds up to a diameter of 25.4 + 20 + 25.4 = 70.8mm. Correct?
Every time i see a vídeo of yours i think IS the new FAQ
Not yet 🥲🥲🥲
Thank you for making this. I really didn’t understand smoke from the description in the book so this was very helpful
Ah great, a lot of people got confused with smoke so happy to clear it up!
As a new player this is SUPER HELPFUL! Thank you! Guides like this for all the different equipment would be great. Love to know about all the different weapon types.
Ah perfect, I'll be doing a full equipment guide soon (:
Absolutely killing it with these videos lately, really appreciate you
Ah thanks, hope they're helpful!
Unexpected but very welcome.. thank you Crit Boss.
I give grenades

Your videos help alot!
Oh nice, that's awesome to hear!
I like to imagine if my mandrakes take frags and kraks, it's inline with their flavour- like some sort of balefire munitions
Yeah petty much, shame faction grenades disappeared
@CanYouRollaCrit I'm a 3rd edition entry guy so too new for that hahah

Always bet on trusty 4 smoke
Thank you for making this video. Very helpful
Thanks, glad it was useful (:

Ah maybe, faction mines I cover in faction reviews but the Yaegir mine 100% triggers the moment you enter its control range
@CanYouRollaCrit thank you so much for the quick answer, I probably missed that myself in your faction review, so that is totally on me!

Oh true, yeah, but does cost a CP unless an Exarch
Oh and great video by the way, loving the guides
HotA also has a FF ploy for Relentless on any non full wound operative.
Yup (:
Very insightful a usually. I should think more about taking smoke grenades. Haven't really had a game were I felt they made sense with my Exaction Squad (mostly on Volkus) but I might have misjudged that.
They're great for staging melee operatives
Didn't mention Exaction Squad for Kraks, who can stack balanced, punishing and severe. :o
Oh didn't know that haha
To add to the list of ways to boost krak grenades, Death Korps Zealot and his close friends get Severe krak grenades. With balanced if you also used the ploy.
Oooh nice
Awesome video, just some weird questions I have. Can you throw smoke and stun from conceal? Can you throw a stun into an enemy in combat? Can you throw a smoke or stun then shoot?
Once again great video, hope the next one is the data slate lol.
Answer to all is yes haha, but stun will hit everyone in combat
@CanYouRollaCrit lol nice, who knows it could be useful some day to stun my own guy.
I really enjoy frag* grenades with Wrecka Krew using Kaboom to move them to a 3" blast and Severe. If you can get into a lot of models with a 3" blast you can generate lots of Wrecka points for more DAKKA!!!
Krak grenades can't be affected by kaboom?
@@CanYouRollaCrit Drill Rokkits can't. Kaboom requires a Wrecka Krew operative performs the Shoot action with a weapon with the Blast weapon rule. Dassit. Check it out.
@DMDoherty1 but it won't make kraks blast, frags sure
@ Oh I mixed up the word. Derp.
Keep the wrecka snowball rolling

Oh totally, I do that myself haha
Fellgor hate stun haha
Great stuff
Thanks (:

It's alright but you have bomb squigs and the rokkit rack to get more usage out of which do a far better job
@CanYouRollaCrit for sure just another option probably only on Gallowdark against horses after the bomb squigs and rocket rack have gone off. And even then I would most likely bring one of each to make sure I can Krak the more important damaging enemy operatives
I think Plague Marines' Lumbering Death ploy helps with ceaseless if you move only 3" right? Does it count as a shoot action?
Yeah, didn't include it as it's more reactionary due to effectively the 3inch move
You forgot to mention that the hearthkyn may be THE best team for krak's as the kyn can get a krak that shoots on 3's with a reroll, accurate 1 with the token, and grudges, which auto convert normal hits to crits
Yup
This was suppose to be a balance update video
It was? 🤔
U missed nemesis claw, ceaseless grenades against imperium and relentless against AOD
Oh nice

You measure 1 inch from the edge of the 20mm marker (:
@CanYouRollaCrit So it is correct, then?
Discord ping 3:33
Sorry, dunno how that happened as I have notifications muted 😅
Smoke bubble 🫧 😮
Thanks for the tip 👍
No worries (:
