Unlike other secular countries like Turkey etc. Malaysia said loudly and proudly that our official religion is Islam, and we tolerate other religions. If someone claims to be Malaysian and disagrees with this, I would say that it is in our country's constitution, and they've failed as a Malaysian.
EXACTLY! Some liberal politicians especially the non Muslim politicians are trying to change this. That aint gonna happen as long as Muslims are the majority and the Sultans still protected our religion.
It was a starstruck moment for me to see Br. Adnan in Masjid Negara as he was leaving. Finally got to see you in person alhumdulillah. May Allah bless you.
Wonderful. I enjoyed this museum so much, that I visited it a second time before leaving Malaysia. There's so much to appreciate and marvel at that one day will not be enough, especially if this is something that you can easily lose yourself in.

@@icernexus No, it's a popularized downplay of Malays in English world by Singaporeans in the past since they've been dreaming for years to own Malaysia as another Han chinese oversea state.
@@noruparry Interesting take. I’ve noticed that loads of Malaysians love to shorten words that is already short by default, including the name of their own country. I see it’s a common trend, but some might see it as losing a bit of national pride.
@@icernexus they're not Malaysian at heart. they're chauvinists that are still yearning for either the colonizers or their idealized """democratic""" communism and this shortened word is only prominent in english-language news and circles that are heavily influenced by "lazy native myth" and self-haters. (They even downplay Malay language into "Bahasa" to refer Bahasa Melayu where bahasa is simply refers to "Language". The proper words are Bahasa Melayu: Malay Language). Their voices are louder due to their fluency in English and favoured the most by English colonizers in the past, not Malay language so on search engine, those who controls the media (english-based publication) will get more traction and overshadows the native ones. The proper two code word for Malaysia is either MY or MS. And I'm glad that you asked this as it's been WAY TOO LONG been allowed to happened. Enough is enough. :DD

Malaysia is one of the muslim majority country who practice Islam and integrated it nicely into nation and multi racial people. They have Shariah law and court beside civil law ,specific to handle muslim affairs. Mosque can be build and operated side by side with other religion. No such problem for azan in loudspeaker in bigger city like KL or housing area with multiple race living together, while other religion also can practice their religion openly. Halal food can easily find and there's authority specifically to handle halal certificate for businesses based on high quality procedures, cleanliness and shariah etiquette . Authorities are strict on clean premises, food handling and servicing. Also shariah compliance bank are available and there's a special bank for people to save their money to allow them performing hajj easier.
