Havanese are the best, so lovable, friendly, loyal. Ours is from show lines, but we got him fixed as we have him just as a pet. We keep his coat short as the maintenance on that glorious show coat takes a lot of work! I admire those who can keep it up!
I didn't know people got show quality animals just to get them fixed and keep as pets! Seems very expensive! Is that what you did, or was it a "pet sale" for a "pet quality animal" that just had papers? (Which you would have gotten in that case, I assume, after you demonstrated it had been fixed.)
@@salvadorromero9712 Most puppies in a litter from show parents are not show quality, much less breeding quality! Most of them become pets and are sold with a spay/neuter contract. It's actually not that expensive! Most show breeders sell pet puppies between 1500-3000€, depending on your area, in mine pet puppies from show breeders generally range from 1500€-1800€, it's a pretty good deal considering the parents are fully genetically health tested & screened, and of course are a wonderful representation of their breed, physically and mentally.
@@salvadorromero9712 It's actually a very big misconseption that dogs from show breeders cost 10000€+, I think because people see fancy dogs they assume they cost fancy prices, and forget that show dogs are first and foremost beloved pets. The reality is that 99% of show breeders are responsible preservation breeders, we focus on health, structure and temperament. We want to see our breed thrive and bring joy into the homes of people who get them. If someone is charging 4000€+ for any dog there's a high chance they never set foot into a show ring.
