As a drummer, it was always such a relief to be finished with my drum tracks, just so I could kick back and bust everyone's balls about their performance.
This last week I have been reminiscing about the masterpiece that is the Parallax II, it has inspired me in so many ways and I continue to make artwork with it as an aiding portal of creativity.
it's awesome to see, that in times where a lot of band have a line-up change almost every record, a band like BTBAM is sustained enough to keep a line-up throughout a process of making a lot of great records. I just love these guys, keep it up! :-)
I wish I could describe our fans. It's whoever shows up. No ones cares about the passion and from what I can see it leaks more and more on the "founding" members of the band. Having a free month like this to record a premier EP is in the days of the past, doesnt exist anymore. Enjoy watching this everyone, appreciate the talent, and realize so how much more you need to put in to get to a medicore tour ( " BTBAM " ) level. If I have to guess, they have probably only been in the profiit for the last 5 years, everything before that was love and hard work and dedications from them. Colors, Grat Misdirect, eventhring else. It was all beauty, time, patience, and raw effort that made their early input. Wish I could see them in the tiny hole in the walls I used to, but I'm glad to band is finally making money and putting their stamp on the genre, although Colors and Great Misdirect More than accomplished that.
Love the studio sessions. Can't wait for the album and the next time you guys pass through Montreal. We filmed you once at Foufounes Electriques, we have some old school tracks of yours live and from multiple camera angles. Good times, keep up the great work.
I read that the Guitar work had an arena Rock element to it on the new album....it worried me when i read it....but when i heard it here....SO FUCKING GOOD!!!
Not only that, in my opinion, I felt the album had some really heavy riffs that Colors lacked. Like the opening to "Disease, injury, madness". The opening to that just drops an elephant on you its so heavy.
You’re think of The Great Misdirect. This is parallax 2, way softer than colors. But I agree with you on the great misdirect. I think it’s their most overlooked album
Finally someone else who agrees that Great Misdirect beat Colors. In my opinion Colors is near perfect but Great Misdirect just has a better mix, production, and tone.
I think it's a good comparison. If we put Blake as a Metal version of the more rock Danny. Since the two of them make some beat that are fucking complicated to play.
Hmm...I actually am not sure what to say to that. I definitely would say Swim To The Moon was fucking amazing and is my favourite song by far. But I'm not very sure about Colours, in my own opinion. I listen to it, but I feel like it got over hyped when I got into this band during the recording of Alaska. Just me, though... Hmm.

This band is the most talented group as a whole imo. Just my opinion, but they are all so incredibly talented it's mind blowing 🤯
I love that damn bassist. Such a nice guy, got him to sign my hoodie
"hard to make a ply when the cameras in the wy."
paul the fucking comedian.
As a drummer, it was always such a relief to be finished with my drum tracks, just so I could kick back and bust everyone's balls about their performance.
Watching them record is so weird...I didn't know they made mistakes :P
Everyone get's red light syndrome lol, but it is surprising when the greats mess up. I've seen them in concert twice and they were flawless both times
Recording and playing live r 2 different things really
I was literally thinking the same thing, it never occurred to me that they made mistakes wow😅
Massive baseball fan; massive BTBAM fan. Cool to see these guys so into baseball.
This last week I have been reminiscing about the masterpiece that is the Parallax II, it has inspired me in so many ways and I continue to make artwork with it as an aiding portal of creativity.
It's their best album, one of my favorite albums of all time.
it's awesome to see, that in times where a lot of band have a line-up change almost every record, a band like BTBAM is sustained enough to keep a line-up throughout a process of making a lot of great records. I just love these guys, keep it up! :-)
Fucking Dustie man. He's so strong at those chords and the progression of it. Love it.
Amazing album! I just listened to it after 3-4 years ago
I love it when Blake messes up when tracking... and Dannnnn is using teh fretlessssss :D
We need another video of Blake just getting pissed. The video from The Great Misdirect that has a lot of him screwing up in it was awesome.
Around 5:08 is the best bass riff on the whole CD, in my personal opinion.
Favorite song
Oh shit, Blake wasn't on his phone for the entire video! :O
The beat Blake plays at 4:35 is from Silent Flight Parliament, around 12:25 :D
My favorite album ever!

0:45 made me instantly feel better about myself as a drummer 😂
love these updates. I can't wait to listen to this album hundreds of times just like the ones before. don't ever stop!
I get to see Dan tonight with Trioscapes, I'm so excited.
The only reason Blake made those mistakes is to throw us off the trail of him being a robot
wow Blake Richardson having trouble playing Melting City brings me hope in figuring out the pattern now
God damn it, I fuckin' love you guys. You're so damn talented, and every single album is a banger. Thank you for all you do.

I'm... so fucking pumped for this album. There is no question - will buy.

Evvverytime... this video just makes me happy.
I'm a huge baseball fan! Also, BTBAM fan!
Best 9 minutes of my day.
Are all of BTBAM heels fans!?! this just made my day go Dustie
1:04 It's good to know that even the best drummers still get frustrated sometimes.
Blake even does the same sounds like Mike Portnoy when he fucks up.. :D
nnAAAAH!
Love how they make fun of each other at 3:12 lol
that fretless dan plays on is beautiful
The drums at 5:00 are from lay your ghosts to rest;)
I'm gonna go listen to the cd now..
Can't wait!
3:16 "What about the guy hitting it?" "Oh he's, I mean, look at him" haha so funny
I'm a huge sports fan!!
I read that the Guitar work had an arena Rock element to it on the new album....it worried me when i read it....but when i heard it here....SO FUCKING GOOD!!!
Paul seems like the most brutal honest guy ever.
YES
8:30, So there IS such a thing as too crazy for a BTBAM song...
What Dustie was playing at 6:50 sounded SO COOL.
Turned out to be one of their best songs ever
Huge baseball fan and player here

You’re think of The Great Misdirect. This is parallax 2, way softer than colors. But I agree with you on the great misdirect. I think it’s their most overlooked album
@@brettbarreras48 I don't know about WAY softer than Colors... Listen to Telos again.
@John Kammerman
It is from Telos.
It's hard to make a ploiay when the camera's in your woiay.
"Guarantee ol' Pat Methany could come in here and make that sound good." "Goddamn Everlast could come in here and make that sound good." I died.
NEED. MORE. VLOGS.
6:10 Best riff section ever!!!
Fuckin love this video
Aw shit! I can't wait for this!
That's Silent Flight Parliament at about 12:30 in the song.
Finally someone else who agrees that Great Misdirect beat Colors. In my opinion Colors is near perfect but Great Misdirect just has a better mix, production, and tone.
True, the production of The Great Misdirect and onwards has been spotless from BTBAM.
He's a beast!
Dat fretless at 5:40. I fucking love Spectors.
absolutely can't wait. guaranteed AOTY
1:15 the crash urge c': hahahaha
If I lived near these guys...my god I would just die.
I think it's a good comparison. If we put Blake as a Metal version of the more rock Danny. Since the two of them make some beat that are fucking complicated to play.
well if they didnt he would just seem like a perfect robot. he is human!!
Pretty nice rip, Dan.
Hmm.
Oakland A's / BTBAM fan !!!!
That closed hi-hat beat thingy fucked my head
Dampens the strings to avoid "talk" or feedback. Great for recording leads and whatever else.
Oh how enough you just be. No one knows about that
I believe it's "Lay your Ghosts to Rest"
I'm pretty jealous... Post back about how it went please!
He said right before playing that he's using a chorus pedal.
Don't care how many times Blake messed up those parts, those grooves are sick.
Blake...a God Monster Drummer!!!
Am a HUGE sports fan!! But am also uncoordinated. :D
Checked out the samples. I hear a lot of Dream Theater in this. :)
3:32 - Boston Red Sox fan. :D
2:50 YES!!
5:09 smooooth
Extremophile Elite's riffs
5:10. Dan, how do you get that bass tone??? are you using a pedal or what man???

Poor Blake. He has such a hard time playing a drumset.
Please make a new Glass Casket album.
I hugged Dusty once.... :3
YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Blake... so he IS human (sighs in relief).
5:10 That bass line comes out of some song? And if so, what is it?
You probably found out by now, but it's Lay Your Ghosts to Rests
Blake Richardson, great!
The one dislike was obviously an accident
Did anyone notice they spelled intermission wrong at 3:11?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
dem ghost notes
i love you
Was that string being used as a capo? Or just to create a different sound? I've never seen that done before.
I think that was a shoelace. Regardless of what it was, it was being used to dampen the feedback/extra noise from the strings.
Oops I mean silent flight... The end solo section
Dan Briggs is a fucking GODD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm agreeing.
Telos by BTBAM
NOOOO THE VIDEO ENDED
