my car is from the new age and still revs over 8000 rpm in stock form. from 1989-2011 all high performance hondas had a 8k redline, 2012 imo was the demise of the high rpm screamers.
Couldn't agree more, in my country back in the 90s. The civic EG hatch and sedan (not the SiR) always compete with the Corolla twincam AE92 and Toyota Starlet EP82 at that time on street races (they're also competing with 70s & 80's Holden, and Double-carb and bore-up VW bugs). those were the times, and then the '98 economic recession happened :(

昔このレビン乗ってたから特別な思い入れはたくさんある
ライバルのシビックには一度も勝てなかった
レビンは回せば速いけれど下はかったるい印象だった
シビックはVTEC効きだしたらマジで手に負えなかった
そんなこんなで当時アンチホンダ党だったのに
今ではステップワゴン乗ってる(笑)
ホンダ車は本当に良い車だよ
私は当時、トイチ後期が自分で買った初車でした。
同期がＥＧ６でしたが、同じ排気量とは思えませんでした＾＾；
回転をウッカリ落としたら終わる感じ．．．
ae101復活したら買いたいな。魅惑のなんちゃってミニソアラae92も良かったけど足回りの熟成と5バルブエンジンがスタイリングと相まってクーペNo.1オブ自分でした。
俺も101レビン乗ってました
室内の狭さと燃費の悪さには泣かされましたが、走りは存分に楽しめました。
外観も左右二個出しマフラーでリアビューだけでもセルシオやソアラと肩を並べてましたね(笑)

It's funny silver top can't keep up with a vtec but put a blacktop in a ae86 and it keeps up with a r34 GTR
+zpe1200 *Keeps up with r34 gtr in an extremely tight circuit with no straights, with modified tires/suspension/brakes, engine bolt ons and a better driver. There, fixed that for you.
and the black top still couldn't hang with higher compression b16's in jgtc.
that's the entire reason they built it, actually.

Your comment is actually retarded, if you think just because a car is regarded as fast, which a GTR is very very fast, means that you put it on a go kart track should the GTR still have the advantage? +neko-romancer 95 explain the need to pull 2:55 then? That's a move you make when you're pushing as hard as you can and you still can't catch up, so you have to cheat instead
+misamisatv They do that on this course all the time,there are a lot of situations when tsuchiya and them make some cars seem better than others for the sake of what car they are comparing from sponsorship. You can hear the type r revving a lot harder than the ae111, thats because he isn't pushing it very hard. The cars have very similar specs, I doubt in reality one is much better than the other
neko-romancer 95 The ae101 has more sound deadening than the EG6. The ae101 ALSO has a much lower redline of 6300 rpm, and the EG6 has a redline of 8000 rpm, so of course the EG6 will sound louder. Softer sound doesn't mean a car is being driven softy.
+misamisatv 4age 20 valve blacktop has a redline at 8200 rpm, if he was really pushing it as hard as is necessary, that thing would be screaming. Look up any video of 4ag 20v and you'll hear the sound I mean. "It must have been lets give hondas a good review week", because in reality the cars should be more closely matched, not saying one is better than the other, I'm just saying he wasn't pushing it nearly as hard as the guy driving the civic

AE101とか111はそれなりに改造してもあんまり伸び代無かったけど、シビックは少しの改造でめちゃくちゃ速くなる車だった。足とタイヤとマフラーで十分。
