Thanks Darren, found it instructive! I guess there isn't much soldering here it's already set with wiring plugs and most of it looks pretty much connected. That works for me too!
When the cork sniffers start to complain about counterfeit Epiphone pickups, it's time for them to buy a new Gibson and shut up.. 85% of these people sit at a computer mixer and want to be Jimmy Page..
@@rossedwards5147 I think any of the pots will be fine, use steel wool or something abrasive on the back of the pot first, for a better stick/connection.. I can confirm when I am home in a few hours exactly where I connected mine to, on my epiphone sg g400 pro Can you reply, so that I am reminded to check my guitar
I have 2 Epi LP , One equipped with Vintage type Probucker and one with Alnico Classic Chrome covers. Cant find a precise list of the models of Probuckers Epiphone make...On EBay there are like 4 different models. Interested in the Alnico II 57 Classic Zebra type thing. Quick connect make them very easy to change when you want a different sound. What model can give me a sound more like a DOT or ES335? Any of you guys have a link to a precise spec list of the Probuckers Epiphone offers? Their website lack this information.
I’m planning to remove the epiphone probucker quick wire and solder it into a new dimarzio pickups. Would that be possible? Would it work because I don’t want to change the pots. Just the humbuckers
Norway Yay As long as the new pickups have the required four wires plus a ground it shouldn’t be a problem. Just clip the wires from the Epiphone’s leaving a “tail” before the quick Conner and solice the new humbuckers in! Good luck!
Darren Corman thanks for the reply. I will try this, do you have any sound test video about this probuckers? I would love to hear how it sounds like. I’m getting one this week.
Hi I just buyed that after watching your video.. My epiphone guitar has only one tone and one volume. Will it work if if I disconnect the extras we get with that bcz it has two tones and two volumes right
Hi drifting melodies! Die you already find a solution? I also just ordered set and will install it in a prs se 22 custom style guitar kit (so also just 2 pots ->1 volume and 1 tone) I will pretty much copy the schematic of my prs se 24 (except that the push pull is here at the volume pot and not at the tone pot...) but that will require some soldering. If you dont want to solder you could just cut of the tone controls I guess but than you have 2 volume controls instead of 1 volume 1 tone... Hope that helps?
?Alpha Centaurí? The harness, pots, pickups, switch and jacks are all grounded by the quick connect harness. You would need to solder a bridge ground wire onto the back of one of the pots.
He's not telling us where they were purchased because he may have paid a lot more than $50.00 for them. Would we have watched this video if he said he paid $400.00?

Cant wait for the results on how the Probuckers sound, thank you!
They are worth every penny I love these pick ups, checkout my video search Soldiers of Solace Whisky, both of our guitars have Probuckers .
When installing these and the quick connect harness, do you have to still solder the ground wire to one of the pots?
Yeah, you have to solder the bridge ground wire but everything else is quick connect.

Is that better that original Epiphone pickup in your thinking?
Great video !
I bought this pickup and a Diy guitar kit. does this pickups need soldering?
No they are all quick connect ,
I ordered 2 sets , one in my Les Paul and I use it on most of my shows, my guitar screams.
It requires soldering for the ground only. The ground wire that is channelled from the bridge piece.
@@GrohnertGuitar where does that connect please?

Thanks Nathan they’re in but I found switching the position of the pots more relaxed in the cavity.

Were you able to install the pickups, if so...how do they sound ?
Pickups are installed! Hopefully We'll get a demo video shot this weekend.
WIll those pups fit in the Quick connectors on the 2020 epi line?
They will! The set I purchased came with a prewired with pots and all connections were quick connectors.

Where did you get them for such a good price?
Lin N, I ordered them on Aliexpress.com.
Are they wax potted?

Look for yourself, they are from $40-$55 aud at the moment. then add tax and shipping.
AliExpress has them on sale right now for $22 and like 7$ shipping depending where in usa (I'm in NJ)
