I'm about to invest in a set of Epiphone Probucker pickups and no solder wiring harness to put in my Harley Benton. The probuckers sound really nice. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the review, I am doing a DIY ES 335 style build and want to switch out the kit pickups for either Gretchen or the ones you have installed after hearing this, These are definitely the ones I am going with . Thank you so much for your video and helping me make my decision .

little pedantic correction here, but there's actually a difference between coil tapping and coil splitting - i didn't know this until yesterday, but a coil split is the usual (humbucker wired to use one of two coils) whereas a coil tap is very very different - tapping is when they take a lead out halfway through wrapping a coil and then continue wrapping it and take a lead out again when finished. this means it effectively creates a similar result (reducing output) but can also be achieved on single coil pickups.
otherwise, keep up the good work rob :)

Yes I get this all the time on Epiphone PROBUCKER videos, I go with what Gibson/Epiphone brand them as 😃😂 don't shoot the messenger 😂😂

My Schecter strat has tapped single coil pickups. It has 3 mini switches in place of the 5 way switch. Gives like 27 different pickup configurations !

Can you make another video of a probucker upgrade, this time can you film over the cavity so we can see which pot goes where, there is absolutely no diagram of a cavity with probuckers control cavity either with push pull pots or even regular 3 way probucker installation diagram anywhere. I suppose you can just hook them up outside of the guitar, to figure what goes where, but it would sure be nice if someone made a video with installation instructions, thanks.

I recently purchased probucker pickups from amazon and sound great the only issue that i found was that the red and green cables were flipped and the circuit was out of fase so i struggled finding a solution and ended up cutting the quick connectors and a few days ago i found i could just raise the plastic tip that holds the connector togheter to switch it from eachother, i feel really stupid after that 🤧

I followed your guide to put some probuckers and no solder wiring in my LP. Your video was clear and easy to follow but I think I might have done something wrong because the neck pickup is muffled and about the half the volume it should be when turned up full. The bridge pickup works exactly as it should so I'm not sure if I've done something wrong or if something is faulty and not sure how to test

I bought an 07 model on reverb for a pretty good deal that came with some dimarzios installed I'm not sure specifically what they are are but I'm not a big fan as the highs sound for lack of a better word tinny (not tiny) but it came with the original pickups. Not sure how the stock 07 pickups sound but I might attempt to change them out or get another set. Anyone got any recommendations for just a nice fat sound? Greatly appreciated

I know this was four months ago but if you’re still looking,, I found that a set of epiphone 57chs depotted sound really good,, just switch out the electronics and wiring (50s style) and they really come to life. They sound good in higher gain settings. But they can be a little microphonic
