    You probably saved a shit ton of people a headache and down time on their bike. I’ve had my SMR pack in a box for awhile. Just figured I’d burn up stock clutch first. Just went and taped a note to the SMR pack about sharp edges… for later. 😂

      Same I race my 23 grom and have 9700 miles and its getting about time. Constantly hard shifting slamming through the gears but that's Racing

    Thank you I just installed these clutch packs on my 2019 monkey and 2022 grom. I went back into both and fixed the orientation of the clutch discs and plates.

    Great install guide! Surprised there's so few views! Must not be a lot of us out there yet with this kit.

      I appreciate that bro! I’m honestly not too consistent any more with posting videos. For a little while I was better but life has been getting busier and busier haha. With things like this not aren’t so well known and I feel people would really benefit from knowing more about I try and make the time to make these videos though. If life calms down I might try and go more consistent though

    It’s amazing how TH-cam tutorials stop after installing intake, exhaust, and cam lol. Everything else seems to be missing. At least 22+. I’ll have to record everything I’m doing and upload it. Like a 5 row cooler with a mnthbx intake because it needs to be modified. But if you want to see how a $30 Amazon exhaust goes in, there’s 1000 videos lol.

    Yooo. I appreciate the video. I’m having an issue at the end. It seems like the clutch cable is too long and won’t engage with the clutch properly. I have done everything to the “T” like it is in your video, but the clutch cable is not engaging in the clutches correctly. Like the cable is too long. Would you happen to know what the issue could be?

    The bolts can fail of you just run three I just had 2 of the bolts snap on me after installing the 60% springs luckly they snapped off while I was installing it and not while riding.

    i know this videos a year old but it did help me but im hoping somebody can help me with my issue i installed smr discs and springs with chimera clutch plate and they work good but im having issues shifting to second at low speeds and getting into neutral at a stop its like the shifter keeps getting jammed or something i also adjusted the clutch cable already and that doesn’t seem to be the issue. Thanks

    Hey man what happens if you get a 2019 pressure plate on a 2022 grom? I just ordered all this stuff and when I install the clutch assembly bolt it all back together I get like a dead head on the clutch actuator like the plunger isn’t even touching the throwout bearing

    • @egoboost9952
      @egoboost9952  ปีที่แล้ว

      What’s up bro I’m sorry I’m just seeing this! So funny story I bought a 2022 clutch pressure plate but received a 2019 and didn’t realize it until 2 days of me fighting it and not getting the clutch to work. The lever was just completely dead and had no tension no matter what I did. Nothing is really gonna happen it just won’t work. I installed that one like 20 different times trying to get it to work til I figured out the problem and put the stock one back in lol

    I just installed it and its hard to find neutral and shift to second gear. I did the oil pump as well. seems like the clutch is dragging a little. any thought on this?

      Hell yeah my man Terry! He’s like me with his Grom, always got something going on 😂 hopefully this helps save you guys a bit of headache. Definitely check the plates when you mount it back on the shaft too cause sometimes they like to get caught up and stick up and it’ll warp them. I actually made that mistake twice and forgot to mention it 😵‍💫

    Is there a specific order that the discs need to go in? For example my ktm has different thickness plates and the thinner go on the outsides and thicker in the middle.
    Or just make sure the edges face this way?
    TIA🤘

      Weird, followed this to a T.
      Clutch disc orientation correct.
      Tough time shifting 1 to 2. And 2 down to 1😅

    • @egoboost9952
      @egoboost9952  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like exactly what mine was doing when the clutch disks weren’t racing the right way. The edges have a sharp and round edge and you want the round to shed facing eachother

    • @tonyromo4778
      @tonyromo4778 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did them exactly like the video, the rough side down, and the round edge up

    • @tonyromo4778
      @tonyromo4778 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only problem is that when I have all discs in it, don't sit flush. Maybe because the stock was only 5, it would sit flush now. There is a lip, but I know it's in place

    • @egoboost9952
      @egoboost9952  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tonyromo4778 there is a small gap from what I remember but it should sit well. Sometimes I would get it together as much as I can then sand which the assembly in my hands and spin it around to make sure everything is clicked in and fully seated

    • @tonyromo4778
      @tonyromo4778 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did everything right, but It still hard to shift down and once I'm in 1st it won't even go up to neutral. But shifts really good in all gears
