    I have a 2019 Ultimate CF SL and have just about the same setup. It rides like a dream.

    Hey,
    very great content in my opinion. It is great to see how others like the new Canyon. I also received mine in the same colour and etap aswell. I love it! But I have to replace my cassette aswell, because we got many hills around here and climbing with 10-28 is very heavy to be honst. One question as I have never replaced a cassette myself before. Do I have to buy a longer chain or are those single chain elements enough and I can buy them by myself. A more detailed video on how you replaced the cassette and the chain would be really appreacciated.
    Tried my best in English. Hope everything is understandable.
    Have fun riding!

      I would also love a detailed video on what you have adjusted exactly at 1:29 :)

      @@semotester5480 not much to be honest. It was just a half turn of the high limit screw so it had space to get onto the 33 cog and just some tweaks using the sram micro adjustment app to get the derailleur perfectly below the cogs.

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could probably get away with adding another quick link (SRAM power lock) but I would just get a new chain and size it properly,as it’s unlikely you have a few sram chain links lying around. For us the chain was too short to get onto the 33 cog so we had to replace it.

      how many links does the new chain have? 144? Or more?

    hello? I bought the same bike as yours two weeks ago.
    When switching to tubeless tires
    Which valve length did you use: 44mm, 60mm, or 80mm?

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, we went for 80mm because for some pumps the 60mm isn’t enough space coming out of the wheel rim.

      Do you just switch the valves and that's it? Or is there some type of sealant inside?@@cyclingunboxed

    I plan on using the exact cassette you used. How did you determine how many links to use on your chain, and what chain did you get?

    Nice
    I just got the same bike yesterday.I had issues setting up tubeless on rear tire.Leaks out of that small hole on rim by valve stem.No problem on the front as that hole is covered up inside the rim.Not sure whats going on there.I have invest in one of those tire gadgets you have.Looks so easy.Would save alot of bitching and swearing

      I’m not sure what’s going on there either. For us it went up no problem. Where is this small hole? The tyre glider is unbelievably good! I bought it because I fractured my thumb but now I think everyone should use them.

      @@cyclingunboxed The hole were the leak comes from is directly under valve stem on cassette side.About a cm from bottom of rim.Its covered over from inside on front rim.I just ordered a tyre glider.Should help with my bad hands

      @@cyclingunboxed That was the problem.I slightly nicked the tape up when getting the tyre off.All good now with new tape.Did first ride today.Very impressed.So much faster than my Domane.Gonna leave the 28 cassette on for now.Made it up 17% grade on one of my usual routes today.Didnt seem that much harder than my Domane with 11/32 cassette.Lighter bike I guess

    Ordered mine as well - with the headlight and want a 33T as well. Another question: I really like the look of the Red Etap chain ring. Do you think you can replace the force chain ring with the Red chain ring especially with the integrated power meter...

    • @alexanderdepypere6071
      @alexanderdepypere6071 ปีที่แล้ว

      i would like to use the power meter on this bike on the new red chain ring, if possible!

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately with the sram chainrings I believe that it is all one piece. If you want to buy sram red then you have to buy the whole thing with the power Meter

    • @alexanderdepypere6071
      @alexanderdepypere6071 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cyclingunboxed thanks for the answer. So you cannot put the crank spider that comes with this bike on a Red Chain ring? That's unfortunate, I thought it would work. Looking forward getting mine, looks great!

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed! Silly that there’s not really. Just means you are going to go out and spend more money when you shouldn’t need to. This is the benefits when you buy from the big brands at a bike shop. They happily swap kit around for you

    • @cchivers1983
      @cchivers1983 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cyclingunboxed absolutely, I guess canyon et al think that if you can part with £6k, you’ve the means to make your own adjustments. Given that bike is essentially pro level, I guess that’s their angle.
      All I can say is, haha you both must have some serious careers to fund such beautiful purchases 👏

    Is the 114 sram force chain long enough for the 33-10 casette? Thanks for your help.

    • @cyclingunboxed
      @cyclingunboxed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely is if you have the 48t on the front. We had about 5-7 links left so I would think it would fit the 50t on the front as well
