Veronika Reutz Drobnic - Grace

The composition 'Grace' written for solo B flat clarinet, written in Japan in 2022, was inspired by composer's studies of traditional Japanese instruments such as Koto and Sho. The composition begins as a quiet sound meditation, repetitive and calm. That calm gets undermined by microtonal movement and numerous, fast grace notes that interrupt the flow of the melody.
