I couldn’t agree more. He’s superb.
Mickey is a legendary boyfriend. He overcame his internalized homophobia, denounced his father, and stuck with Ian through his entire mental health crisis. He and Ian weren’t always the healthiest couple (there are some moments earlier in their relationship that are concerning) but as he developed he got better and better at articulating his feelings. Now that they’re married, they’re just gonna keep growing and I can’t wait to see what happens in the final season.
I don't think he's homophobic, I think he's just scared of his father's opinion. (I mean if terry was my father I'd be sh*ting bricks)

Well I think she realised him being gay means his rejection of her wasn’t personal.
Also Ian brought out the best in Mickey. First time anyone saw Mickey step up, take responsibility, look after another person, act selflessly, show love…. Anything other than being a violent psychopath. Ian humanised Mickey, basically.

Noel Fisher deserves all the awards for his performance of Mickey. Like you can see the fear in his eyes before he comes out to his family and before he kisses Ian at the club, he is afraid of what will happen when people know, but you can see him make the decision that his love for Ian is stronger than his fear. And in the scene where they are talking about taking Ian to a psych ward, you can hear his voice break as he tells them no, you can hear him on the brink of tears.
Not to mention the love you can see in his eyes whenever he looks at Ian. Plus no one else could deliver his most hilarious iconic lines as good as he can. And to top it all off, he does a really good Chicago accent for a Canadian. Most of the other cast are from New York, and Ethan Cutkosky, Carl's actor, is from Illinois, so they already kinda sound the part, except Cameron Monaghan who is from California, and William H Macy who is from Florida.

His coming out should've happened under better circumstances. I just think Ian's emotions got the best of him and he acted impulsively out of helplessness. He felt like he got pushed aside, hurt and unhappy with being the third wheel/being unable to have a normal relationship with his boyfriend without them hiding it... and he wanted Mickey to be free of the toxic environment he found himself in.

They both look pretty likable to me. Hard to believe Fisher and Monaghan wouldn't find each other attractive. Credit casting, I suppose, for that bit of luck.
I think that goes for most actors, but having natural chemistry helps, but that can happen regardless of sexuality.

Mickey is a "tough guy", but he definitely has a soft spot for Ian. He may not be romantic in the way most people are, but then again, Gallavich isn't a stereotypical, "normal" couple and that's what I love about them. Once when I was browsing TH-cam for more Gallavich edits, I saw a comment on how amazing it must feel to be the one and only for someone like Mickey who hates the whole world (or something like that), and I couldn't agree more. The fact that their relationship survived after all the shit they've been through until the end of the show, Kev and V don't surprise me that much cause they were a healthy couple since day 1, (no bigots around them trying to ruin their relationship or spending time apart from each other due to jail or whatever), these two would somehow get back to each other, the end was just worth it, props to Noel and Cameron for being such legends of actors.

Noel and Cameron have played one of the best pairings on TV ever. One of the best love stories on TV ever. The writing was spot on and their acting was always superb. Particularly Noel's portrail of Mickey. He played such a complex character, hard as nails tough guy one minute and then the sweet and loving partner. And for me, he nailed it every single time. Mickey’s love for Ian is one of a kind and I would dare say he’s the only person Mickey truly loves.
