I love mickeys actor. He talks out of script almost, and makes it feel like he’s genuinely that person. No human being waits for somebody’s turn to speak when trying to get their point threw, so mickey doesn’t. I dunno how to explain it but the way he says things is so realistic
Honestly Noel _made_ Mickey. In the early and later seasons especially, it really feels like the writers had a very shallow characterization of Mickey, then Noel just filled in all the missing depth organically.

I don’t know when y’all started watching shameless but I’ve been in the fandom since 2012 and the first time Mickey left the show we were devastated and we were sure that we would never see him again. Also the way ian and Mickey parted with Mickey asking Ian to wait for him while he was in jail and ian basically dismissing him was heartbreaking. So for them to reach this point is absolutely incredible, I can’t believe we were ready to never see them together again and then they went straight to the old married couple status in the span of two seasons
I was only introduced to Shameless last year. When they broke up at the end of S5 and it looked like Mickey was gone I actually had a physical reaction. I knew nothing of Gallavich or the fan base at this time but Mickey was so much the best character. Google told me that he would come back so I carried on watching. I really feel for those fans who watched in real time. The pain must have been so real.
