Faker is the best player in the world rn. How many kills has he avoided these Quarters+semis by juking or getting executed? The 1v1 to Renek then getting away with the smoothest use of fog of war EVER. The Baron sneak. It seems like Faker created this game and knows every trick about it. Most delightful player to watch since i play League (s2).
I find the play at 0:44 especially incredible. Faker had Flash up mere seconds after the Sejuani was spotted in the Jungle (you can see the red warning pings by T1) and could have repositioned to buy the seconds and be able to use it. That Sejuani could have absolutely been Flashed away from. Instead he decided to commit to the fight and eat the Sejuani ult, holding onto his Flash for another fight, and sacrificing his life to give 3 kills to his team. This year T1 has really showed off both their incredible teamplay, and their unwillingness to give any edge to their opponents, such as Guma holding his Xayah R in the face of RNG Ming's Nautilus R in the Quarterfinals. Such an incredible performance, and such an incredible Worlds.

@@crazy123357 Yeah, hence why I said he'd need to back off from the fight to benefit from it, but instead he commits to the fight and puts himself in harm's way.

I've not really been enthusiastic about League tournaments in the last few years, since they've been boring and dry, but Faker's sweeps on Azir this game did make me clap and applause, because they were just that good.
Each to our own, and for me, Worlds hasn't been exciting for many years now. Even this year, only Faker's Azir this game has impressed me to the point that I couldn't help but clap.
It's because the meta, this meta is more balanced, it allows to play real league of legends with top tier macro and micro, not like oneshot meta or protect the zeri+enchanter meta.
JDG's players can be countered. That's kinda the problem. That's why T1 is getting alot better each game because both the top and midlanders are getting used to Kanavi rotating and ganking. Even Faker at one point stopped using flash in Kanavi's ganks. And T1's skill is distributed almost evenly in all lanes. Unlike JDG that always focuses on hyper carry top and jg.
I'm so glad we have Faker in the LOL world to keep us hysterically entertained. In early Worlds seasons, he was the mechanical solo genius. Now he has iterated his game to team fights. This match against JDG is the true epitome of his team fight prowess.
I mean what champion isn't faker terrifying on? One of the reason why Faker's been at the top for so long is that he doesn't have any champions he's not good at. There are top tier players who swing back and forth on their performance depending on the meta because yes they can play the champion that they need to by practicing but not with some of the mastery that someone like Faker can. I mean just look at the difference between Fake's ryze plays and Chovy's Ryze plays in the semifinals.
