I just watched one of your videos I don't remember which one it was but you said that lowering the temp, cutting back on the pressure and the time, I did what you said and it worked my tumbler came out beautiful so thank you so much I will continue to watch your videos
I’ve followed your tips since I started subbing tumblers and I have never had a bad outcome. Your latest with the paper towel rolls is a great idea. I’ll start doing that today. Thank you buddy
Hi Roy. Great tips, thank you. I've just started sublimating and could definitely use the tips. Good the know about the pressure is better lower. I will have to loosen up the mug press for sure. My edges don't seem very crisp. I have a Sublimation Cook Book I've been using and for the mugs, I've been doing 400 F for 270 seconds....and with much pressure. Could this be causing edges to be a bit blurred?
That’s actually not accurate. Most if not all of the mugs I make are just text, and as long as I wrap the paper tight and let it sit for 5 minutes after removing, I don’t get any bleed/ghosting. But to your point, if I try and remove the paper before the mug cools down, I will absolutely get ghosting! I just prefer to not risk the chance of getting hairline internal cracks. Based on how my workflow is, I’m fine with the 5 minute delay! Thanks for watching!

I use room temperature water for my finished mugs. If you don't, ink will keep spreading You'll notice it most with text
