Sounds of the Severn Valley Railway [RESM 020] - Side Two

This is Side Two of the LP recording 'Sounds of the Severn Valley Railway' [RESM 020]. These are recordings made in 1979 in the early years of the heritage railway. Featured locomotives are BR-built Ivatt class 2MT 2-6-0 no.46643 (referred to as no.6643 in the sleeve notes although it was never an LMS loco), LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 no.8233 (BR 48773) and Collett Pannier Tank no.5764 (L95).
Side Two finishes with an interesting sequence recorded in the signal box at Arley.
The recording is attributed to Aspal Productions and the stereo LP was released by Response Records in 1979.

Altough the recordings are made on a preserved railway the operations undertaken are as authentic as they can be.
