    I have only owned it for a week, but I can tell it is a keeper. The adjustable bracelet has come in very handy every watch should do it. The lack of atomic outside Japan doesn't bother me but it does make initial setup a slow process.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We had some big swings in humidity while I've had it and the clasp did the trick perfectly. I'd love if it could receive signal but I'm fine with it as is. The app was really easy to use too if you haven't tried it.

    Great looking watch, i have something somewhat similar, the Casio Oceanus S100, titanium, perpeptual, super comfortable, 100M WR etc.....and it gets the NA signal (6 spots WW). Its the Tough Movement so no battery changes. Great grab and go, 2 years.....no scratches.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces

      That's a watch I've been considering too. It's got it all and looks great too. Thanks Pierre.

      S100 is my dream watch. Honestly one of the best bang for buck watches ever imo. But I also want a green watch for wearing with my green trench coat in Winters so I'll grab this one too.

    Citizen is one of the tops on my list for solid, well built watches, I definitely enjoy the couple of Promaster’s that I have but I’ve had my eye on that PMD56 for a while now. It has some competition but its a beauty in so many ways for sure.
    Thanks for the video ! Well done

    Great video. I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I’ve got to say it’s close to my ideal watch. The titanium makes it incredibly light and the dial is easy to read. I love the perpetual calendar function. One day I’ll learn how to set the GMT second time.

  • @StephenDPRK

    Thanks for the review, I picked up one up and absolutely love it. The green is a lovely hue and reminds me of British Racing Green. I also live outside the JJY coverage but find the iPhone Emulator Apps work just fine. Quite good accuracy regardless at about 4 secs pm, so less than a minute per year.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a great watch. I still think about getting one for myself. The emulator works great but your right, it's very accurate on it's own. Thanks.

    I have the Citizen Garrison Titanium field watch and kinda want this one as well. Citizen really leaves the good stuff for the JDM market. (Edit) I want to add that I love mine so much it is a compliment to Citizen that I want more of their watches. Chronomaster being another one.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces

    I picked up a used one in Japan, great condition, didn't sync well with the JJY emulator then I figured out the problems, the previous owner didn't know how to operate this watch and messed up the watch's reference position and time zone.
    I reset everything in this watch and synced it again, worked like a charm. Now I know why he sold it for a cheap price, he might think it was broken or something 😂

    Yes..... still needs 24 hr subtended markings......wish I had this on my 8180BM-03. Also this....the tip of the second hand doesn't seem to have lume, as does my cheaper 8180. Lastly, the second hand has the opposite side (of pointer) counterweight looking piece that is a distraction.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces

      It's an eco-drive (solar powered) watch so it would likely be quite a number of years before the capacitor needs to be serviced.

  • @fletcherhamilton3177
    @fletcherhamilton3177 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If this lost the day but kept the date it’d be perfect. The date + day makes the dial slightly too linearly busy in my opinion. I understand that the Euro markets are like that (i.e., only the date), for this thing?

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don’t get it. Why would they limit this to JYY? I understand it’s for the JDM market but the US Promaster Tough misses out on made in Japan, The tool-less on the go extension (a must) the 20mm lugs and the date window which is flawless on this watch. The US version also costs more street price v street price. I don’t get it. Why not make a global version with full support and RAKE IN THE CASH. It’s literally perfect as a daily.
