Good job Lecky. You still do your best in troubleshooting from the electrical side yet the problem was mechanical in nature. You humbly show how helpful you are to your colleague esp 3/E. God bless.
i always enjoy your videos . i retired as an electrican 5 months ago but i still like watching troubleshouting and you are good at it. keep the videos coming and i will keep on watching
Great video, thank you. Just want to say this was mainly a mechanical issue that the 3rd eng should be able to fix without the support of an electrician. There is always a way to tell if the pump creating pressure or not. As far as I remember, the pressure gauge in this setup is taking its reading before the solenoid. So if the pressure is 0, it has nothing to do with the solenoid itself. Good troubleshooting, man.
Good Job mate what type of oil is used for Auxiliary Boiler your problem turned out to be mechanical I used to work on industrial boilers we used Heavy B Oil and running temperature of oil was around 262f to get good combustion
I just got my ETO certificate and my requirements was: Standard of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) courses. 3 years of experience within marine electrics (2 years apprenticeship, 1 year school) Radio Telephone Operator License TWIC might be required, but not in my case Passing a marine electrical exam
Good troubleshooting insights as always. Learning experience from ETO peers is very important for me.
