This video actually brought me to tears. I've been a caregiver almost all my life. I am a wife, mother, and an older sister to a sibling with Downs Syndrome with multiple special needs. I've always thought of myself as just a caregiver, or just a homeschool mom. You helped me realize the value in what I'm doing every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤

Wish I would have been introduced to you in my 40's instead of at 65....but, I am still learning so much from you! As a retiree, sometimes it seems like I don't have as much going on as when I worked but, when I look at my schedule and to do list, I see that I am doing just as much if not more than when I was working a 9-5 job. Thank you for all your insight and inspiration and I will see you tomorrow! 😍

I am looking forward to 2025 and trying very hard to not look back but to be present!!! Present for me, my husband, family. and my faith. I was raised to be very disciplined and productive. My goal is to be more intentional. I agree that life can be short, and we need to appreciate each other and lift each other UP!

I love that you're so interested in so many things - your fam, cooking, gardening, chickens and every living creature, organizing, cleaning (you make me want to get up and mop or something). Now I see how you accomplish so much! Your tips on planning and the breakdown of your framework is the clearest, most succinct explanation I have ever seen!. You can never leave TH-cam, you know (please), but you really should take this planning thing on the road. You need to write a book, Lauren! So helpful to so many! Bravo!

As a former homemaker (now divorced & a single working mom of 2 toddlers), I so appreciate how you budget your time to be the best mother you can be in YOUR SITUATION. I never expected to be a single working mother, and I've experienced so much guilt for missing out on time with my children. But you've assured me that I really am using my time productively, to give my children the best life possible. Thank you & God bless!

Someone years ago shared with me that just because I welcomed her to our Church and ask if she would like to join me and my husband where we were sitting. She said I changed her life. She shared that she had come to Church because she was going to go home and commit suicide. I had no idea. You never know what a smile,a kind word or just a compliment is what someone need.

Hi Lauren, I just recently found your channel, totally loving your content. I have seriously never found someone on here who loves planning, listing and blocking! You have been teaching me so much, thank you. I also find your voice and music soothing and relaxing. I’m also a doggie and chicken Momma, kids are grown but recently became a grandma, best thing next to my life while raising my children! Anyway, here in Arizona, we are fortunate to have 2 growing seasons. My garden is mostly herbs and peppers (still trying to figure out other veggies, lol.) Many herbs are perennials, so I never have to take them out. Others, like cilantro and dill, are heat sensitive so only winter garden for me. Not sure what your zone is in Napa, but you may have the benefits of some perennial herbs. 😊💗

Well done! I rearly comment, but I had to pull out the tiny phone to share with you this...I'm 64 and have been with you from the start, when the kids were being homeschooling because of the Covid. I began watching to see if there were tips for my daughter with 5 children (the bento lunch boxes were a big win) and tgat was just 1 of many wins. Along the way I learned for myself as well. You my dear have truly made a difference in these two households; impact. This video is will be a gamechanger for many. It all boils down to what's important -vs- time management. The tools you've shared are vital to have the ability and mindset to do just that. I love your content, but this video is so very valuable...share it friends. Love, Diana in Reno.

I was working as a legal secretary once our youngest went to kindergarten. My husband encouraged me to get uncomfortable and go to college then law school at age 40. I did that and so glad I did. My husband died unexpectedly last year before he could even retire. He just turned 60 and was working still. I can grieve but not also worry about supporting myself. Always keep that in mind as we age. Can we support ourselves if one spouse goes. Of course, I’d recommend life insurance and a will. We did neither, thinking it will never happen to us.
I live in FL and my sister lives in AZ. We are going to travel to the Napa Vally. I’ve been to LA and San Diego but I am so excited to visit northern Cali in January 2025 ❤

    • @lindawillis9460

Absolutely true... If your name is not on the loan you do not have to pay however depending what the loan was for, i.e., a car, it could be repossed although most companies just show it as a loss and I'm sure get a tax writeoff. Now, let me say this was probably one of your best postings. I am glad you took on dealing with negative comments. These people do it to get attention and try to push peoples buttons. Very sad people indeed. Clearly if it was a normal person, there is so much on You Tube to get involved with other sites, MOVE ON! There is no need to be negative and those of us that love your channel do not want to hear it! I don't know if it is jealousy or what but there is no place for it on your channel and thank you for commenting on it! I am excited for you and what your future holds. I also am enjoying your new format and am excited to make some changes in my own life. I am 69 so hearing you talk about still making goals at 90 motivated me to take on making goals for myself and I thank you for that. You are an inspiration to all of us. You radiate class and have the best decorating style. I will be watching and thank you again!

I would think if you and your siblings were not on the mortgages and you do not want to retain property through the inheritance process (per her Will; if it states real estate / property (s) is to be divided amongst my children), that some of the property's could be sold and those funds used to pay off the mortgages / property that you (or all your siblings) may want to KEEP (and continue to rent out).....I lost my Mother too unexpectedly in 2012. However, I was older age 52 and she had just turned a young 76. It gets easier each year.....

I agree about the negative comments - when we first got married - before we even had thoughts about kids - we went to ToysRUs to buy a board game for ourselves for the holidays. There was an older man behind us in the checkout line and he said his kids loved that game and was it for our kids. We said that it was for us for Christmas and he just went off - saying we shouldn't be buying any games and what were we even doing in the store if we don't have kids (granted he was alone and at least 20 years older than us!). We just didn't respond and got out of there as quickly as possible. That always stuck with me and now I think what a negative person he must have been to be around for his family. But - it did ruin our day having someone be so mean out of the blue without even knowing us. I think unhappy people just don't like to see other people happy and they need our prayers. PS - love the new intro graphics on your videos - very nice!

Oh Lauren, you are killing me. We won’t see spring here where I live in Idaho until the first part of May. I take down Christmas and leave up a lot of it that works for winter. I love it that you’ll always have goals. I’m about 20 years older than you and I still have goals different than I had 20 years ago but still things I want to accomplish or learn or just enjoy. My word for this year is peace, and that is worked in throughout my goals. Thanks for this video and everyone you do. It brings me joy and inspiration each time. Hugs❤

Thank you for your boldness to tell it like it is on negativity!
I heard this quote that is so good-
“Be kind for everyone is going through something you know nothing about”. With several chronic pain conditions and chronic fatigue mostly couch and bedbound has made me -an already thoughtful person-very humble to not judge anyone. I also think of it this way. Not to excuse anyone who says mean comments but people who leave comments like that are not happy and are projecting that onto others. Again not to excuse their behavior but it helps me deal with people like that. Almost feel bad for them to not get angry about it. Thank you for your motivating videos that I need so much!

Love this video so much Lauren, wonderful content! I use some of your same principles and I came to the realization a few months ago that it was time to retire and gave a 12 month notice (only 6 months till retirement!). I love my job and the company I work for but I realized I am no longer able to take care of my home and family the way I want while continuing to work. It was a hard decision but I told myself “hey girl, you’re 71 and have been working since you were 16, you’ve made someone else’s coffee long enough”. Thank you for always being so honest and transparent.

Wow! I am a 66 year old retired Canadian clerical worker. I never felt that I had a career, I had a job. It was something that I didn't love, I tolerated it, always wishing to be at home raising our daughters. My job allowed us (my husband and I) to keep a roof over our heads and food in the fridge. Our daughters are grown women with husbands and children of their own and we are very proud of how wonderful they are. Unfortunately they too all have to be working moms to help keep the food in thd fridge and a roof over their heads. I have many regrets in life and now that we have more life behind us than ahead of us it's come to the point of do it or forget it. There are obstacles..... health issues and money being at the top of the list, so planning and determination are key to getting a few needs, wants and wishes accomplished. Your planning guide feels a overwhelming to me, but your advice is very inspiring, so thank you! Good Luck to you as you journey through 2025. Happy New Year!

I have watched you for quite a few years. Maybe from the beginning (not 100%sure).
The advice and insight that you just shared literally blew me away! I'm in a good place in my life, but that hasn't always been the case. I lost both of my children (only children) within 5 years of each other.
I have struggled and pushed through some of the worst times in my life because of these losses.
You lose your identity ( if I'm not mom, who am I). You're positivity is what I strive for daily! I try so hard not to judge others and to always know that as bad as I've had it there are others that have had it so much worse.
Long story short, if people like me and others like me can push through life and make something of this situation we've been dealt than why can't everyone do that?
You are your own person and ultimately you choose the path you want to be on.
In my opinion you're an awesome person inside and out! God bless you and your family!!
And to those who find negativity in things no one is forcing them to do...MOVE ON AND FIND WHAT TRULY MAKES YOU HAPPY IS 100% TRUTH!!!❤️ ❤️
