    I never saw this as an LGBT thing, but just roles in a bedroom setting to which, I agree, many are WAY too vocal about. This is taken down way too many paths, some people saying it's an LGBT thing and some people saying it's a straight person thing. Then there's the one person hyping on the thing Liberals always say, which I don't think is relevant but said "Trump already lost, deal with it," to which just makes me roll my eyes. It has literally NOTHING to do with that. And the other comments saying that OP should get cancer or something? That is immature and just plain terrible to say to anyone.

These terms are definitely applicable for people outside of the gay community, however when put in a gay context there are some additional baggage so I get why someone might feel touchy but it’s important to step back and think about wether someone is really targeting you or if you are just projecting your insecurities on other people. Like if someone tells you not to eat the cake it may just be that it tastes bad and not that they are fat shaming you.

      "I don't know how people got triggered by this". Well you see, the 'accepting, understanding, and open-minded' side of the political spectrum likes to throw riots either digitally or IRL any time someone who isn't gay, trans, or a minority (not including asian) has an opinion or makes a joke. I am not exaggerating, sadly. Many of them are happy to see people that aren't a direct part of their movement suffer, even if you aren't 'against' them, that's why so many dogpiles happen.

    • @nomoretwitterhandles
      @nomoretwitterhandles 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@panosplayboy Basically "top/bottom" are terms for people with penises who are having sex with each other. It is primarily used in the gay community (and incorrectly used outside of it).
      Top: Puts the penis in
      Bottom: Receives the penis
      Switches do either, typically no preference
      People are upset by this because "top" started to be associated with "dominant" (a BDSM term) and "bottom" associated with "submissive" (another BDSM term), both of which are incorrect. These terms are usually used by straight women to discuss how gay men might be having sex, seeing the "bottom" as the "submissive feminine one", and the "top" as the "dominant masculine one". Straight women's usage of the word has turned "top/bottom" into another form of gender norms, but for gay men.
      So, keep in mind: there are plenty of submissive males who like to top, just as there are plenty of dominant males who like to bottom.
      As a person who dislikes the "top/bottom" trend, I was not offended by this meme. I thought it was a little stupid, but I simply moved on. It's not even offensive, because OP was clearly trying to pass it off as a lighthearted joke picking fun at their own sexuality.

That's why they get so angry all the time about everything. Because their emotions, like everything else, are right there on the surface. People in that community are so focused on giving themselves and others labels and take those labels as the core of their personhood to the exclusion of all other aspects about their lives. It's sad, but it makes sense that they get so mad at even the smallest of jokes because they feel it's an attack on their very being. Problem is that they are the ones who made that their being and they're ignoring the reality that they have a lot more about them than just their sexuality, and again, their narrow mindedness is not helping themselves or others and actively making their own lives more narrow. It's too bad, really.
