"If you're white, shut up." What the heck does skin color have to do with being fat?! For someone whose user name is I appreciate people, they really don't seem to.
Don't mind me, I'm just see if someone will answer with the most dumbest, most "progressive" answer possible. But seriously, these people are just as bigoted as the people they criticize.
This is a shot in the dark, but it might be because obesity is high among low income populations, of which are mostly comprised of minorities. However, they're completely missing the fact that it has everything to do with wealth inequality and nothing to do with racial inequality.
@@CWINDOWSsystem32 🤦♀️
And then they go to call people racist, but you see, they assume that because someone is white they are "fatphobic" or that they are horrible people, and that's actually the very definition of racism.

I'm fatphobic for what? Wanting to not get tired after 6 seconds of running? To have a proper blood flow? Low risk of heart attacks? Be able to wear the clothes I like?
What people probably also don't get is that in East Asia people usually tend to be skinnier, so you really stick out when you're chubby. It's good that she changed her lifestyle in order to be healthier, I can imagine she got picked on in school.
This exactly! I’m not fat by definition but I want to become more athletic and build some muscle. I can’t believe that on Twitter, feeling proud of an improvement you made, even if you were “acceptable” before, is shunned and claimed as being fatphobic.

this is one of the biggest mistakes of this era, people don't know what is okay to accept and what isn't. they try to protect kids from everything making them sensitive little shits instead of letting them learn things even if they need to learn it the hard way.
IDK why they even protect fat people. Fat isnt good for your health anyway. If you can't change, then well you *may* suffer from several diseases but still alive. But if you can, why people don't encourage them to lose weight? Anyone who encourage people to stay fat are the people who encourage people to suffer from the possibility of some diseases.

@Gudam diddler i found calorie counting was relatively easy, all you need to do is find out the dietary intake you need to maintain weight in a day, and then cut only 100 or 200 or maybe even 300 calories under. Remembering to count calories takes about the same effort as remembering to brush teeth every day. Id also take a few days to just get used to eating a regular amount of calories meant to sustain weight before you start going under, to get your body used to it. You stop feeling very hungry after 5 days, and appreciate food more. You can eat whatever you want so long as you count the calories for it. I like to have a spoon of nutella in the evenings sometimes. With a limited amount of calories you start to think things like “did I eat protein yet today? I should leave room for a meal with meat in it.”
I say this because I remember a friend really not liking intermittent fasting. I also say this because I myself have lost weight (only about 20-25 pounds, but hopefully the advice still works and/or counts)

Also P.S. because I dont know where to put this little ramble: I don’t think there are such things as “superfoods” or “foods to avoid.” When eaten in moderation, every food can be good for you. And too much of one thing can deprive you of nutrients you could be getting elsewhere. Its all just energy and building blocks for your cells. Even fast food can be a diet with full nutrition. If you are missing something in your diet, your body will just tell you, by craving it. For example, I haven’t had fruit in a while so now Im craving peaches :)
This comment is wayyyy too long now so i hope it isnt annoying aaa
If you do want to loose weight don't do it for the actual weight. Do it for your own health. Losing weight for the sake of appearence is at least to me such a toxic mind-set. You don't need to be thin to be beautiful. Period.
Your body is your temple and it should be cared for, even small things like drinking enough water and going for a walk everyday, improves over all health (including mental trust me on that one). There's two specifically similar cases to prove how f'ed up western society is (Granted, these are celebrities):
1. Adele. She lost some weight and people from all over the world started criticizing her for it, even when she stated in her posts how much better she felt. Also it could, potentially, mean a healthier Adele who could live longer and make music for longer. You'd think her fans would be happy about that.
2. Billie Eilish. She would mostly wear baggy clothes that would cover her from top to bottom. Plenty of people took this as a sign she was all about body positivity, then she did a lingerie-shoot with Vogue and people went mad at her because they 'felt betrayed'.
So in the end, it doesn't matter how irrelevant your looks are, people will complain about them; Except it used to be only if you were fat, now you also have to worry about being 'fatphobic' if you want to not have your knees ache from all that excess weight.
Basically, people likes Adele because they think her being fat validates them being fat. Kind of like, being fat is fine because someone very famous is. When that famous person stopped being fat, it invalidates their whole argument. Now they feel under pressure to be thin again. And thus, instead of being happy for someone else because they made a choice and some effort, they demean them and call them fat-phobic just to validate their own unhealthy diet.
People weren’t feel betrayed with the Billie Eilish photo shoot. It was very sexualized and seemed out of character. Not defending anyone. Just pointing out why people felt uncomfortable with that specific vogue cover. Words on the streets is that it wasn’t even her idea in the first place.
@@genshinF2Play very well could be. Even though I hate puritans and libtards with a passion her whole sexualization could very well be something cooked up by the industry to boost popularity as per the formula. Sexual exploitation of celebrities is very well documented

@@goddamndoor Europe doesnt have as many black people outside of some specific countries (france e.g.) and less people are obese (better and more balanced food). Thus in turn there are less morons justifying themselves by calling others fatphobic and less people making fun of others for being fat because older people tend to be slightly chubby without it being unhealthy.
If someone is unhappy with their weight then there are two things someone can do:
1. Change their view and accept that they have a bit more weight and be okay with that.
2. Change their body so that they are happy with it.
Both are perfectly fine options as long as the first one doesn't go to denying that with a lot of weight also comes health risks and the second one doesn't go to not eating.

I look at it this way: fat people are allowed to exist, because they have the freedom to be fat. However, there are a series of events that lead to getting fat, and at any point a person can stop and go "maybe I should be preventing this".
Nobody hates people that are fat, we hate people that refuse to accept that its their fault, and they don't have to live like that. Like, how uncomfortable is it to have to buy two plane tickets? Or to not fit in nice clothes, or be too heavy to go on certain rides.
Like, you have to look at yourself, and I want all the fat people that might read this to ask themselves this, are you really happy? Like, take charge of shit. You don't have to be fat. And if you're fat , and perfectly content with it, good for you. Your happiness matters.
Just don't shame people that are trying to better themselves.
I am slightly overweight and i do not judge people for losing weight i only judge those who judge me for being slightly overweight
I dont have the time to go for walks every day i have to spend my time at home working on art and books and i really think body image is overrated and if your gonna judge me for having a slightly larger stomach then maybe the problem is with you (also i have a condition that causes my stomach lining to become thinner and eating certain healthy food causes extreme pain and diarrhea so i sometimes have to eat junk food because its easier to process)
i think that people are genetically inclined to become a certain weight, but everyone has full power to change it. Some people have to work harder than others to maintain a healthy weight, but that's because sometimes life is unfair, and people have to accept that this unfairness exists.

@@nothingtoseehere1221 By only changing your diet, you'll already start to see a difference
The thing about "body acceptance/positivity" is if you truly accept yourself, you dont concern yourself with what others look like. If you're spending any time at all on shaming others for having what is perceived to be a better shape, you're still self-loathing and trying to bring others "down" to your level.
Honestly, best take in this entire comment section.
Body positivity in principal is good. The idea that the only reason someone wants to lose weight is for appearence is really toxic. People should want to improve their life-style (and subsequently their weight) because it makes them a happier person, and to be over all healthier, not because of some unattainable beauty standard.
No one should be shamed for wanting to change their life-style.

Hedonism as its finest.
fatphobia is real. the problem arises when it's thrown out in the wrong places, like here for example. but don't say it isn't real, because it absolutely is and is the reason many plus sized patients don't receive enough support for their eating disorders (binge eating disorder is real, and you don't have to be skinny to have bulimia or anorexia) or for their problems caused by their weight.
@@rosexthermite no I don't think fatphobia is real. By nature, humans and animals in general, are turned off by things that doesn't look good or looks out of shape; one of which is caused by the fact that a person is fat or obese.
As for the argument of not enough support for eating disorder, I also doubt that. I've seen enough fat/obese people being supported not only by a hospital's workers, but also their friends and families, yet they still whine and complain when they had to do heavy workout and went on an emotional tantrum whenever they were warned about eating a lot.
However with all that being said, I'm interested to see if there's evidence supporting your argument of fat/obese people not having enough support for their addiction.

But the fact that I tend to get misunderstood even when I explain stuff in a rather simple way and are usually only understood by an old friend of mine I can't even reach makes some stuff just even more overwhelming.
I explained all that to show that sometimes it's easy to say "you should stop being lazy." Some people are truly lazy, and I can be that as well, but some people don't do much, against their own will if that makes any sense. It's different for everyone. Everyone is equal in worth, but we all have different approaches to similar situations, because it doesn't work otherwise for us.

Before I respond, I want to point out that before yours, there were already 4 replies to my comment, but for some reason I can't access them, so I'm going to take it as YT removing them, so Thank You Susan for your insane Censorship.
Now onto the topic at hand
First off, I want to say I sympathize with your condition, I imagine that must be rough having those issues.
Second, I wholeheartedly agree, different people takes different solutions, thank you for the elaboration.
However what you just elaborated is exactly why I said Fatphobic is a Social Construct.
That word is thrown around left and right to people who takes solutions to their physical health/condition, in order to either demonize these people or guilt trip them into not becoming healthy, by the people who either dislike them, or in most cases, fat/obese.
I said this because most of the people that I see throwing around this Fatphobic Buzzword are either fat or obese, usually to silence any discussion about physical health.
To me, that's equal to mentally manipulating everyone to be unhealthy, that's not a good thing.
Edited:
ok as of now I can access all the replies before, so it wasn't some insane censorship by Susan, cool.
Cosplay reasons aside
Mad respect for the girl who wanted to better herself. Not many can bring themselves to do it. I too went through the struggle of wanting to lose weight. But the pay off is super worth it in the end
Western: Reee you must be cancel, Reeee no representation, politics and diversity, Reee anime is hurting my feelings, Reeeee why nobody bought our woke Comics, you are phobic Reee
Meanwhile in Japan
Japan: Ah another beautiful day for making good anime, good manga, making good hentai and making high profits
And not being treated like an actual country!
Virgin Western Twitter vs. based Japanese Twitter
Its obvious when npcs are talking asopposed to human players.
¿And what about good japanese video-games, toys, j-pop, fanarts and technology?
I'm just visiting Twitter to see any update from my favourite artist 😁
Western Twitter doesn't seem to understand the phrase "it's none of yo business"
