I would like to see bonds perform exclusively as membership tokens, which is the purpose they were brought in to serve. Currently, bonds are on track to be 200m in the near future because they are linked to too many things; rune coins, treasure hunter keys, formerly yak track skips, membership, fomo pet bundle events, fomo cosmetic events, dxp packs, or other limited time fomo gachas, RuneFest Tickets, etc. It results in bonds turning malicious- as a way to profit off the players who are susceptible to buying them with cash to sell an unfairly inflated in game item for gp. It ultimately prevents players from using them for membership. Ie, it's bad for the players.
Honestly I wish bonds were removed from the game entirely or used for anything BUT membership. It's a nice idea on paper for players to be able to buy membership with gold but what it results in is huge amounts of alts leading to a very similar impact on the economy that bots have (quickly devaluing things like the new primal ores and golden party hat).

the thing about xp is that it effects you exactly in zero methods. unless you are higher on the leaderboards, it doesnt matter. oh wait... it still doesnt because the race to top of the list is also bxp locked. how others get to the real game shouldnt be an argument at this point. The only mtx I directly oppose are the gacha gambling types. Otherwise its your money and how you play. no pw2 exists in rs3 on a literal scale. the difficulty of rs3 is so high when it comes to bossing that bis stuff does nothing for you. you have to know how to use them for it to matter and mtx wont fix that.
Unfortunately, mod pips has done this before and it can’t get my hopes up. Would love to play again, played since deviusmud but haven’t played in several years now. The final straw for me was when they had that event that allowed you to buy overloads for rune coins and use them without the herblore level; that marked the end of the last shred of the game’s integrity for me
They can increase the sub a bit, remove the treasure keys or lamps, stars. Let us buy cosmetic but also let us earn in game cosmetic and do that also with pets. And every two year drop a big expansion we have to buy like in WOW, FFXIV and do it that way. That way they can earn money and we can earn some pets and cosmetics to that you cannot buy. Everyone is happy. :)
they've already increased sub several times, I'd adamantly reject this, it'd put it on par with warcraft who doesn't charge us $575 aud for bank space nor charge us for transmog/keepsake keys. Jagex makes enough money without treasurehunter they've just become supremely greedy and predatory on behalf of their investors, they aren't' a struggling indie company.
I'm not willing to accept cosmetic focused MTX without them updating the avatar at this point, if we're going to play dress up with our characters they shouldn't look this bad. them ignoring it this long is beyond shameful.
To anyone that thinks buying lamps and stars is bad, have you considered that it doesn't actually affect you in any way? It shortens the grind a little bit and enables people who have lives and don't spend their lives home on runescape. By this logic we should consider removing DXP as well as bringing all the XP rates down to OSRS levels where now getting to 120 will take you the next 10 years of your life. If you wanna go to the extreme, those who enjoy a slight boost to xp gains can go to the extreme. On that note, you guys also make the economy worse in the game, I think what the game needs most is a GE update that lets us see whos selling what at what price and let us buy what we want to buy at the price we want, not only would this dramatically change the economy it will ALSO foster a competitive market where people actively undercut seeking to have the better deal. As it stands almost all of you actively scam people out of extra gold that you will never use for anything.
??? it absolutely affects you as it drives down the price of items on the market because the demand is instantly gone. On top of that, it lowers the requirements to progress in the game which speeds up the rate at which someone will leave as they didn't work for the reward. When these people leave it drives down the assumed value players will put into the game, making them need to monetize harder to acquire the same money they had before. Look at literally any pay to win game and see how quickly they fall apart and the community bails.
I don't know if it counts, but i just want Auras to be more accessable other than the loyalty program, It seems too useful to be locked behind a paid timegate.
They should try POE way of microtransaction. Pay for convinience and cool skins/transmogs. Cool burning effects when you walk or maby some cool looking house skins.
Runecoins and bonds is a safer mtx than treasure hunter keys though, why would they remove the least harmful mtx or the option for broke players to buy GP/for people to pay for membership with their own gold?
I remember about 8 years ago when we were told by jagex in official statement that they would tone down MTX. Didn't really worked out, did it? At this point MTX doesn't matter what matters is the fact that if new player gets into the game (yeah, right) and wants to try members it costs them 11 euro (12.50 usd) to try for a month and I am sorry but RS in general is a tiny game compared to WoW or FFXIV yet the sub is only 2 euro (2.50 usd) cheaper? Like sure those two giants have upfront cost but you get so much more content for it that it usually doesn't feel like a bad deal. But 11 euro a month for RS3 is actual insanity, RS2 was popular not only because it was different but it was also significantly cheaper than any other sub based mmo at the time. They obviously can't keep RS3 from drowning without MTX and they can't lower the sub either, if they make better MTX it will cost them more money to make and because of player model being absolute polygon mess of old almost nobody gives a shit about solomon store cosmetics. Also buddy they can't take the loss, they literally got acquired right now is when they have to make money to show that the project is profitable, why the fuck do think bonds went up irl?
You are telling me rs is a tiny game? Maybe if you only play a certain way; but there are very few games that for €70 a year yoi get this amount of content out of lol

I wish something would make me excited from those reveals for next year and only thing I am excited about is reading transcript for amascut quests because I waited over 5 years for continuation of 'phite club.

I have had this idea for a while but removing direct xp and bonus xp and instead giving incentives to earn this stuff in other ways. like: Hey if you bring this to a minigame you get a fat load of xp after completing it. Maybe give out a few at a time and have them only be tradeable against items that maybe work for a different minigame.
I mean they kind fo tried this with barbarian asault; as it gives you bonus xp in agility and it's still irrelevant content regardless; one of the reasons is that it's group content and that is an issue in itself, especially without plugins
