I have the imcando pickaxe, I wonder if it would be worth getting the pickaxes if earth and earth and song if we’re about to have new picks added to the game soon

On fletching: many scrimshaws are decent passive money from PoP, and their superior variants might be worth the levels for, as those are untradable. Herblore: go for 107 if you can, because then you can make vulnerability bombs most efficiently. Those can make you money the rest of the way to 120, and 120 herb has the most op cape in the game. Thieving: if you're a fresh account, this is the easiest skill to get to 90 to unlock PoP, which has time-locked progress. Getting this early is important for both comp cape and invention resources, as well as scrimshaws.

the game is dead, that's why they are pooling I play osrs I just saw a video of a guy commenting on this, I searched rs3 mtx on youtube and every video has like 10k views, this is groundbreaking news and the videos talking about it only have 10k views??? that only indicates how small the playerbase of rs3 is, Jagex is desperate to get people to play rs3 again

They hate because its a different game. I knew OSRS like my own pockets as a kid. Sweating for d claws was fun for a while. But I dont see the fun after 18 years of it.. For me RS had to move forward.

As someone with a maxed osrs GIM account and 300+ days in the game mode. I hear some of your concerns and some of the arguments you're going for with shared content, issues with some people 'carrying' the group or making others feel left behind. But I definitely disagree with the argument that there is really no point in GIM content when you can already solo ironman progression and just party up with friends on other irons (personally). In my experience, the biggest couple net benefits to a GIM game come with the self-achievements of individual GIM account progression with the added benefit of group resources. Our group found it extremely beneficial to cut down some of the longer grinds/skills/etc by having others who can assist with resource gain. And no one ever had an issue with better gear unlocks coming from the 1-2 individuals who found the most fun (or had the most time) in doing PvM. Then those others with less time or less experience could benefit from later bossing with better gear. Still getting to participate and helping with a potential skill gap in PvM experience. Also those with more time or more afk, being able to help push supplies to the people who need them most, they found that rewarding to help progress the overall group. I for example went full skiller while a teammate went fully slayer-based. I got zenyte crafting level + magic, herb requirements and did tons of farming runs for supplies, and that let my slayer teammate just fully focus on combats to push for big unlocks like whips and occults for the group. --- Was everyone doing the same things? No, but overall it pushed the progression of the group and got us all to ToA quickly by allowing others to catch up with better items later. And everyone felt like they participated. In the end, it comes down (as you mentioned) to what the expectation/goals are of GIM as a game mode. I am fully turned off on the idea of a main account in rs3, and though I would potentially do a solo iron in the future, the idea of being able to do that push with friends sounds super fun. As long as they do group storage and some other things group-wide to help with overall setup, I think fully requiring doing your own quests and everything else is perfectly fine and will help others feel like they built their accounts and weren't just handed the end-game. That's just my thoughts. I have a previously maxed rs3 account pre-necro, and would be interested to see others' thoughts as I fully swapped to OSRS when coming back to the game and haven't touched a lot of rs3. I am pretty excited to see what all has come out and progress. I stopped back when noxious weapons and invention were the way, and I know a TON has come out since then :)

That mining and smithing tip is so true. I'm mining like crazy rn making profit selling elder rune bars. Mining is super afk, and smithing is too with the right setup

I'm allready 200m in mining and smithing. But i still can't wait for the update. I'm planning to mine and sell all week. After getting some upgrades for the skills offcource 😅. I just like the idea of having a better pickaxe. I don't really care much about the combat gear as i'm just not good at this games combat.

Bro, if they added mtx to OSRS, then 2/3rd of the player base would quit, and the company would be flushed. Yes and RS3 player earns more money, but it does it in a way that actively drives away many players.

Can you mention what lvls you recommend for most skills? Like you said fire 95 and fishing 93 but are there any other skills that have a sweet spot to aim for to make life easier/richer when not doing dxp. =D that would be great. Heck make another video on it saying skill lvls to aim for or some sort. Prob get a two for one on views for dxp XD.

I'm playing Ironman mode because It's my main and i dont want to restart as a main. But I also Enjoy it. I wont Boss with mains only irons though

If Jagex doesn’t make money through gameplay, then how are they going to create new content to keep the game going? Their employees need paid somehow based off of revenue/profits. TH also allows new low level players and even higher level to skip through all the tedious, boring parts of the game so they can focus on the end game stuff which is the best part.

Honestly at this point MTX has been in the bones of the game for a decade or so. Simply removing it wont fix the damage. Jagex would need to pull a FFXIV: A Realm Reborn with the game. Wipe the entire thing clean and start from scratch. Sure removing all the mtx is a good start, but the next step would be to make fresh start servers that have no interaction with the other worlds.

I could not get into OSRS no matter how many times I tried. So many of my friends play and enjoy OSRS and have told me how they think RS3 is terrible yet, lo and behold, I ended up enjoying the latter far more. I like RuneScape 3's combat, quests, fashion mechanic, and presentation far more than OSRS's. I wish I had gotten into the game sooner. Just a lesson to try things out yourself and form your own opinions. Don't just believe something is bad just because someone else says it is.

I don't give a single care about cosmetics. I only do my daily keys plus the 3 of the daily challenges. I'm happy with the stars and lamps i get. I also liked the old blue proteans way more then the new red proteans. But if they remove the whole thing i would be fine with it to. If people want to buy overrides or cosmetic outfits just let them buy it on the homepage of the game or something. But whatever they deside to do. Please don't let them push the members cost up again.

As an outsider the microtransactions is what always kept me from starting this game. If they do then I'm in.

Membership would probably more than double and I bet bonds for Membership would also be gone. Cash only membership because that becomes their primary source. I am fine with microtransactions, within reason. Especially with older games

DOWN WITH TREASURE HUNTER I still think bond packs for lamps/stars or just making these things more obtainable through gameplay and putting good cosmetics and revamping Solomon's to actually be better is the way to go.

The Gowers don't need microtransaction money. They all never really liked it.

treasure hunter is a huge part of my enjoyment in this game, that being said i don't typically buy keys with money but sometimes bonds for keys is fun and wasteful why not. but also i'd actually consider quitting rs3 if they do do away with treasure hunter and microtransactions lol

Pointless removing TH... Imagine being a new or low level player and having to grind all skills the good old fashioned way knowing thousands of maxxed characters had it easy. That's enough to put anyone off. Just draw a line under it and make all future skills unbuyable

Treasure hunter doesn't need to be removed. No one has to buy anything from it. Otherwise, how would ironman function? I say leave it for those who want it.
