I'm a gun fan (ex-military) and I moved to Australia 7 years ago. I used to think I'd really dislike not being able to have a weapon in my house but now, I have to say, It's pretty cool knowing 99.9 dont have weapons.
@@caiomathiowetz3486 Aaahh, yes...the infamous "police" who are only minutes away when seconds count. I don't think you understand the concept of response times. I literally live in a place where it can take more than an hour for the police to arrive. You can be killed hundreds of times before they get there. And if you think Europe is a place without *ANY* weapons you are totally clueless or extremely naive. Believe it or not, but criminals where you live still have weapons, whether that be guns, grenades, knives, hammers, axes or whatever. The only people following the gun laws are law abiding citizens like yourself. A law isn't going to stop a criminal from having a weapon. But even if you lived in a country without any sort of weapons, you should still have a right to defend your own life when someone attacks you unarmed. If you are a woman, child, old or disabled person you stand absolutely no chance against a determined man in his twenties when you have no gun to defend yourself with. It's even worse if you're facing a multiple assailants (like a gang)
I love how Em is like...yeah Nick this is how little you matter...you thought I was dropping something about you....nah He had way deeper issues on his mind. 😳
Mannn I saw a notification for this and I was like oh shit..I found my headphones and then I realized em dropped a whole damn album..so needless to say I'm on 3hrs of sleep today lol as always great breakdown..you explain things perfectly:)
The whole song is a double entendre between the mass shooter and his own issues/addictions. He’s trying to prove that there doesn’t necessarily have to be an outstanding reason for people to “lose it” so to speak. Great video!
Couldn't agree more. The way the song and video was put together is a prime example of Em's genius. I strongly disagree with his ideas of solutions, but you have to respect the hell out of his talent.
stylezNsmilez why exactly? Ur gun laws have a serious problem. A change is needed not necessary a shutdown of ur right. Mental health care would be more than enough
@@caiomathiowetz3486 u did hear Eminem say "no signs of mental illness", did u? The problem is the guns. It's not the media or mental health or video games, it's guns. One can tell, because every country has people with mental illness who are stigmatized and often don't get the help they need, that is tragic, but doesn't cause mass shootings. America is the only 1st world country with this mass shooting problem. The difference is the broad availability of guns.

What's really crazy is the original song "sound of silence" was about being lonely in the dark. The dude wrote it in a bathroom woth the lights ofd, describing what he could feel but couldn't see...Em just remade it for 2020 with the same theme but from a different perspetive of gun violence.
Yooo i was just listening to the song the first time thinking of when you're going to drop a reaction and... I receive a notification of the reaction 😂😂 what a great day!
He also mentioned that since the killer didn’t have felonies he was able to buy any gun he wanted and ammo, it was infinite for him. So it was like he was military with the shit he had in that room.
Its actually a metaphor he is putting himself in the killers mind how his anxiety thinking what if no one shows up to the show he is about to murder but his fear when he thinks no one will show think about his fear in 8 mile
I completely agree with you. Also if this wasn't brought up it would never get talked about, so for Eminem to use his platform in such a way to make this bold statement will get people talking and thinking about the issue. Which will then hopefully get things in order to change or make things better. Instead of it being left and then eventually forgotten about until it unfortunately happens again

Your message at the end is so much of who I am personally, today. There are people out there with some disgusting beliefs, in my opinion, but when I took the time to really get to know them we still had so many things in common. The more I connect with people who have some opposing beliefs to me, the more that I show them and myself, that we are all more alike than not. In the end most people want the same fundamental things; To be heard, to be loved, to be respected, to inspire, and you have a genuine connection with people.
This video is proof why Your one of my favourite reactors on TH-cam. The fact You said that "just because someone doesn't agree with what You say doesn't mean You have to hate them" is TRUTH
I literally got so nervous when I noticed he was talking about Las Vegas but also you would get confused thinking it was his own concert. My god this was crazy 😭😭😭
From a Mama's perspective . Vegas happened in October 2017. There have been 41 mass shootings in 2019 with reported 210 dead. May all victims Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected. Piano keys playing Melody of " the sound of silence" Simon and Garfunkel. In the song it's speaks of The singer who seems to realise what we are in essence - lonely people, living in the darkness, in the void. Maybe we are aware we are familiar with the darkness , but he has had a “vision softly creeping” , a sort of inspiring dream that has triggered a sort of self-awareness, of enlightenment. Mental health is such an issue. We throw pharmaceuticals at issues while avoiding the underlying issue Our children are growing up witnessing life thru online filters, with snapshots of " fake" perfect lives. For likes and views. And they begin to wonder why their life isn't that perfect, what can be wrong with them. When anyone is being measured up by such a cold assessment, wow. They face isolation at school and also bullied for being different. Society is so harsh. No one I feel is really putting down devices and making human connection. The eyes are the windows to the soul but how will you know what is going on inside someone if you don't look them in the eye. Acceptance that we are all human despite our differences I feel is part of the answer. So much anger and hate, agree to disagree, but realize that self medicating or prescribed medicating isn't always the only answer. Reach out to someone if you feel like harming yourself or another. Rest in peace 🙏💔 PTSD is very real if you are affected by such tragedies please seek assistance Stepping off soap box now it's just I'm passionate about my kiddos future and yours.

Just the preaching is a bit much but it's your right. I don't feel the need to put mine into every comment or conversation. You have a good one. Oh BTW, I always thought as "sound if silence" is something that would take effect after a nuclear explosion "neon God we made" being the flash of light right after "talking without speaking" everyone in shock and disbelief but no words are needed, being everyone just looking at eachother would in itself speak volumes and "hearing without listening" you go deaf after the explosion but you'd again know everyone heard what you did.... But I guess any event of a swift violent nature would be the same... And even with the mass shooting I still think SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED speaks for itself, last I checked Chicago has the strictist gun laws, our rights are trampled enough by the tyrants in the government I hold no. Political affiliations, because I know for a fact, that regardless who's in that white house, the propaganda, their agenda, and the narrative, will all remain the same because, our government and so called public servants and officials, are nothing but scapegoats and puppets, for those really pulling string. Mad respect Ernest, not only for your expert breakdowns and hiphop knowledge but also for the point you make at the end. We can all disagree about anything or everything but we can still respect each other. I make it a point to talk hot button politics with people face-to-face any chance I get and I've never once had either party start screaming or fighting. If we respect each other and talk to each other like PEOPLE, then we can always find some common ground. Put your headphones on and Just listen carefully to this part: “I’m getting loaded, that’s a lot of shots” You’ll hear, he himself says: double entendre :))))
So far only 1 reactor has come close to mentioning this. When Em walks out to the crowd at the end merging both stories, there's a 3rd that only this picture reveals. This shooting occurred at a music festival. It's not just about the crowd, but the artists too. Lennon, Tupac, Biggie, Selena, Dimebag (Pantera), Christina Grimmie. Not all were shot on stage, but I think the point Em's making with walking out to a sold out show is two-fold: 1) Every time an artist takes the stage, in the back of their minds, something like this could happen, whether it's a mass shooting or an assassination attempt on their life. 2) Even though it's scary and anxiety-inducing, they/Em take the stage anyway, which is evidenced by the fact he walks out AFTER he's already told the story. Watch the movie Bodyguard with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston for further enlightenment. Crazy deep and powerful subject matter and something we all have to figure out how to best handle, which might not even be possible (another one of his points, harkening back to when he said how f'd we are). Ooof. Love the awareness. Hate the issue.

Sander Cohen but why should we? We have a working police and without weapons we don’t need to defend our selfs from weapons
I love how Em is like...yeah Nick this is how little you matter...you thought I was dropping something about you....nah
He had way deeper issues on his mind. 😳
Mannn I saw a notification for this and I was like oh shit..I found my headphones and then I realized em dropped a whole damn album..so needless to say I'm on 3hrs of sleep today lol as always great breakdown..you explain things perfectly:)
Ernest: needs to slowdown professor
Em: *drops Godzilla*
The whole song is a double entendre between the mass shooter and his own issues/addictions. He’s trying to prove that there doesn’t necessarily have to be an outstanding reason for people to “lose it” so to speak. Great video!
This is a wise take by Ernest. It’s possible to both disagree with a person’s politics and simultaneously appreciate their artistry.
Amen
I agree. I didn't like message at the end of the video but i am impressed on how he delivered it
Couldn't agree more.
Armed to the teeth. Words as weapons behind your teeth. Eminem with that word play goat level genius
You have broke down the song and video on the next level. You all wanted him back... he's BACK 100%... I am so glad he's back. Eminem has got so much to say, and he has a great way to ignite debate. Rock on Eminem!!! I love listening to your Lyrics, and love your controversial Video clips. Together they are just amazing! A few minutes in a clip, and your Lyrics matched perfect... just amaze me how long they can touch ones life...
the whole album is FIRE!! I don't even know which song is my favourite to be honest.
ikr, really liking Godzilla though
They all the same!
And i mean like his last few albums
Maybe that's why maybe it's hard for y'all to choose any fav
I'm having a hard time choosing too it's a great problem to have
This my fav, also yah yah yah is fire.
This is the only true reaction/breakdown that keeps it G and catches all the bars channel that I want to watch. Your channels need to blow up dude. WORD!!!
Appreciate you keeping it 100 from the beginning man!
@@TheThirdErnest heard about you through another reaction channel. been here since bro. keep it up
What's really crazy is the original song "sound of silence" was about being lonely in the dark.
You know Ernest is dope when you are excitedly waiting for his breakdown of the video immediately after hearing the song. Much love fam!
Eminem is a Genius!
He also mentioned that since the killer didn’t have felonies he was able to buy any gun he wanted and ammo, it was infinite for him. So it was like he was military with the shit he had in that room.
If you listen closely, Em says “double entendre” at 5:25 after “that’s a lot of shots, huh”
This is seriously one of the best reactions I’ve seen. You broke everything down perfectly. Such an eagle eye/ear!
"The sound of silence" sample brooo
Makes this such an eery sounding song but so beautiful how its put together
Love it!!!!!
I’ve viewed at least 10-12 reaction videos for this same song and I must say that yours is the most genuine, informative video thus far. Thank you!
Great reaction love your insights. You are right to say this song/video/album is going to set some people off but it is an amazing piece of work and I hope Eminem is happy with what he produced cause it is 🔥! And that is coming from a 53 year old female who is back to enjoying rap music. Thanks TTE for staying up to do this!
I like the way you break down videos my guy. You earned a new subscriber.
Listen to the beat
"Hello darkness my old friend "
"Iv come to talk to you again "
If u know the song you know what I mean
The sound of silence reimagined by David dramen (disturbed)
This song is GENIUS, one of the best songs in rap in the past few years
i am soooo glad that i am watching your video to breakdown all the lyrics. It is make ma more understand how the story goes . we miss this type of lyrical . good job ernest !!
LOVE FROM MALAYSIA
ayyy🇲🇾
“My brain is primed to look for metaphors”
Half way through
HALF WAY THROUGH A WHOLE SONG METAPHOR
The rap show stuff is how everyone keep jumping back and forth betwin in his fandom hating him then loving him at least that's what I got from it
I've watched a few reactions of you to songs and I'm amazed by the eye for details you have. For me as a non native this is very very helpful to scratch out details like the TV screens in the shape of USA. I really appreciate your work, please keep it up.
I CANT BELIEVE YOU CALLED THAT!!!
This song was 🔥 and another 🔥 reaction! And I agree with you 110%, everyone has a different opinion, and it doesn’t mean you should hate if someone has a different belief.
"You wanted, Shady? You got him!"
Eminem on Fall (Kamikaze)
And Nick Cannon really thought that he had a real chance at sparking a battle with em.
The truth hurts, this country can’t handle the truth...
Gets ur mind off the sadness on friday
Eminem: hold my beer
Lmao man I was like one sad to another sad lol
I really appreciate you man. I feel such passion for Eminems art. And often I feel alone. like others don't understand. Watching you makes me feel alive in a weird way, like I'm not alone! Or not crazy lol keep on doing it bro!
A crazy thing no one really talks about is the accuracy with which he can still describe the horror of a heavy night as an addict after being sober for so long, it really speaks volumes.
I’m honestly in awe rnow of how well Ernest is able to break this stuff down, y’all this man wild 😂
😂😂😂😂✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
How does somebody think something like this up? Telling two story’s simultaneously about two completely different people in the same words.. my mind is blown! This is artistry at its best!!!
This song hit deep. After all the shootings and everything I literally live next to the shooting hat that happened in Texas. Heard this song as I was about to go to bed last night. Hits hard man. Love the reaction as always.
(Still going to pester you about K.A.A.N even though I’m not expecting it any time soon because of the two new albums.)
Man, your understanding about Em is really commendable. Never seen any guy understand Em this way.
Dude get ready for it! Album is fire! 🔥🔥🔥 he told this story simultaneously from the the perspective of the metal illness and the shooter!! Only Em could do this.
Damn excited to hear your reaction to the whole album.
Hope your channel blows up after this.. you deserve it
Been watching you for quit some time... But this video... this made me a subscriber. Attention for detail in the lyrics, musicvideo and meaning..
You can hear the sirens in the background. Heard that in the 4th listen. Foreshadowing...damn. 😭
Hey great reaction video, you talk about a lot of facts. It's refreshing to hear.
Rest in peace 🙏💔
PTSD is very real if you are affected by such tragedies please seek assistance
Stepping off soap box now it's just I'm passionate about my kiddos future and yours.
This needs to be pinned.
@@UpInYourFeelings Gice me a reason, why life is so good? And why if I feel I think I don't wanna suffer anymore that I don't have the right to just that, I gear the BS, " it's selfish" well is it nit selfish that I should keep living cause of "others feelings", it's my life I think I held out enough.... Sry but talking, going away meds don't always fix everything.
Start A Movement every one of us has the ability to harm ourselves but please don’t do it. Take that energy and point it elsewhere. Release those feelings into art. Any kind of art! You are able and you are worthy. God bless
@@flightlessbird6860 1st off appreciate the response but in my belief and please respect it just as I respect yours to have have that belief, there is no god, but I do appreciate the sytement, but nah, I lived long enough... I don't want nor seek pity, I don't need or deserve it. It won't be real soon but my journey here is done. There is no situation where things go up, just down fast and relentless, shame the disgusting people in this thing we call life aren't all as good ass you seem to be. Enjoy your night have a good one.
This a totally different melody than the sound of silence, compare the two together and you’ll see it’s not similar at all
He is a lyrical and in-depth artist. I love his deep in tune music. Too me he is beyond great. Everyone opinion is different but mines is what it is. This man touches a lot of surfaces that amazes me.
The very first thing that came to mind when i saw this song is when thethirdernest is gonna react to it 🖤
Deep song. Like I have said before, em (the best) has so many layers and you help break them down. Wait to see more from you. You talk pure facts. Thanks.
And yall gotta understand EM lost his best friend while growing up to gun violence.
I thinks that's a really good point. People seem to forget that when discussing Em's position on gun violence/reform.
Your analysis and your view is just so good!
Had to dry me eyes a few times watching your breakdown of this, knew I stuck with you for good reason 👌♥️
Nobody wants to hear your perspective, let alone actually consider and think about it, if you come at them with disrespect.
I'm late to this vid coming to watch in 2022 but I gotta give you props, my guy.
Put your headphones on and Just listen carefully to this part: “I’m getting loaded, that’s a lot of shots”
You’ll hear, he himself says: double entendre :))))
Gotta love em for always making song about serious topics like this
You did an excellent job breaking this down and also super random but love the set up of your room great job
Haha thank you! And thank you again! Did it myself lol
Amazing perspective and breakdown of this song!
"hello darkness my old friend" and the vid goes dark 😮
Dude ,ur breakdown powers r obscene! Much respect.
I was listening to the song before school now it's after and I can watch you break it down lucky day!
My buddy introduced me to Eminem 10 years ago but heard this song and swears off listening to em ever again! Talk about but hurt this is fire
Not all were shot on stage, but I think the point Em's making with walking out to a sold out show is two-fold:
1) Every time an artist takes the stage, in the back of their minds, something like this could happen, whether it's a mass shooting or an assassination attempt on their life.
Hate the issue.
yeah its a late comment but hopefully the ALGORITHM boosts things.
Great reaction as always. My sister goes to that show though almost every time. Not that time but still freaks me out.To comment on just the art of this video, it's amazing.
Ernest, you remind me of Nietzsche "The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently".
You never grow hanging around like minded people
As a U.S. Army veteran and a licensed firearm owner I absolutely love this video and it's message.
