I'm actually really happy that we got stygian zinogre. I mean i know some people think of him as a reskin but with world subspecies have changed, i mean they didn't change much but I'm really happy because they gave the subspecies new moves and everything.
Out of all the monster from all the monster hunter games I played, zinogre is my absolute favorite from his moveset and armor it gives The fact that it got the mhw treatment and got a subspecies makes this hunter really happy

Guys, I have what I call a 'cheat'. So you basically get a lightning element dual blades(maybe around Zinogre's fulger+ is good enough), have full Namielle alpha set, and put whatever decorations you want. Your basically immortal. You can dodge Stygian's attacks endlessly. Also Safi and Rajang(or furious)have a baby.
It's so odd hearing the English voices now since I changed the voice settings to "Monster Hunter language" awhile back. Now I've grown used to that voice setting-
I heared Stygian Zinogre was also planed to be in Sunbreak, but was cut from the game because he would have been in almost every MH game since his first apperance in 3U only skiping GU. There are still some remains of him being planed for Sunbreak, they gave Furious Rajang his new volttackle move and Violet Mizutsune with its homeing bubbles a extremly simular move to old Stygians homeing dragonbugs attack. Stygian Zinogre would have really fit into Sunbreak.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t really hit that hard for me. My armor rating is great and all but I thought he was gonna pack a little more punch like zinogre. Still a fun fight tho.
Just guessing here but I would love it if they made it like king ghiedorah appears to cause trouble but a monster exactly like Godzilla appears and fights and we help godzilla kill ghiedorah. Commander: we have to stop that monster before it destroys the ecosystem! Handler: but how? Its huge! Wait... What's that!? *handler points to godzilla rising out of the ocean and starts fighting ghiedorah* Handler: whatever it is i think its on our side! Ive played rise for 400h now and still like the clutch claw and world mechanics better, including that i can go up to 120fps full 4k on my oled 65 inch tv, nothing beats that

I know it's a bit late, but: Finish the Iceborne storyline (Shara Ishvalda), unlock the Guiding Lands, then do the post-game storyline (the purple exclamation marks on your map in 'ice town'). Once you've accepted them, I believe the quests show up under 'special investigations' :)
I want to do this event but my armor is sort of bad against dragon and I already have trouble with the og zinorge. ( mind you my armor is good against thunder ) So I’m scared if I’ll have even more trouble with this guy. ( which also mind you I need to kill him in order to do the 2nd part of the frozen wilds event and to augment some hoarfrost reach only weapons ) :/
@@alexg9723 the advice sounds so dumb but you have to memorize zinogre moves perfectly if you're using a mobile weapon even better. that's how I beat stygian zinogre is mh4u with sns and zinogre armor just don't get hit brother
Could be just my experience of hunting the damn bastard but it actually looks like styggi is way more predictable in IB than he was in 4 ultimate. Or it´s just the better hitboxes.
Could be his final form! Think about it, the dragon escapes and probably descends deeper in the search for more energy to absorb. When he gets said energy I believe he will evolve into his black dragon form which is probably his final (seen in the teaser). That’s just my opinion!
I had a backstory in 2022 when I was playing mhw and but I can’t completed the game because I did not had headphones to talk so i delete mhw and replace the game using rise😢😢😢 so Sad 😭
The thing i hate about this game is that they doesnt give us any reason to hunt the monster. Stygian zinogre literally not doing anything and we have to hunt it. They make us hunt the monster just because of investigation
If you're on ps4 then press L2 right after a level 2 or 3 power charged attack finishes. The Game Economist has a really good video on the hammer in iceborne and he can explain it better

Well, I fought him with Namielle armor which is terrible against dragon, but I survived.
