Liquitex works well to create that barrier but the pages feel limp after with Amazon printed paper. If the gesso feels too rough after application, you can use sandpaper to smooth it out. Alternatively those scotch brite kitchen 2 layer sponges with a rough side and a super absorbent side also work very well. The rough side can be used to sand the gesso and the sponge side can clean your brushes instead of using a dirty rag.

You got some amazing books! 😍😍 my tip for tackling the Disney CBN pages is to start with the outline! I like to do all the outlining with a black paint pen (even when it says it should be a different colour) because then if you colour on the lines slightly you won’t notice 🥰 that only works if you use a medium other than paint for the image itself - I always use felt tip pens as I don’t mind the pages being streaky as I enjoy the mindfulness of colouring the page without thinking about colour choices 😂 we should do a buddy colour next month in vitraux! I have the first one and haven’t coloured in it yet 😁

Hi hun lovely haul I have the first 3 distress watercolour pencils I’ve had them for a few years and haven’t touched them I won’t get the last 3 until I start using them.. but it’s very tempting.. during July I spent up big during prime day one of the items I got is the 150 chromaflow pencils I have the 72 set it was cheaper to buy the 150 set from amazon then getting the new set from cult pens the postage was the killer for cult pens prime I get free shipping and my pencils came from Amazon Australia and was shipped from the uk.. winter is nearly finished hear in Australia it’s nearly spring in tropical North Queensland xxx❤❤❤😮😮😮xxxx
They are expensive but I think they are worth it. Prime day wasn’t that interesting for me. We didn’t have interesting offers here in the Netherlands. Thanks for the lovely comment 🩷
