Heck yeah. Been waiting for larger channels to cover Hexa-gear, been thinking of getting a Rayblade but wanted to hear thoughts and reviews on them first, as I've heard way to many conflicting things about them online before.
Bought the same thing and i guess i got unlucky, one of the arm won't snap in properly into the shoulder. Later found out any kind play will quickly loosen the joints.
my only complaint with these is 1/24 scale, i wish they were 1/12 so i could use the mechs in a display i have in mind and the bulkarm is real expensive
Man, this is why I love your channel, all dem kits! These dudes look awesome, the Mechs are badass, and they are loaded with extras. Definitely gonna be my new obsession lol
Idk what it is about you, but for some reason ur vibes and voice and keep me interested for a whole review video, I can’t do that with any other reviewer besides you
They are rather expensive to army build sadly. Need to recast them. Unfortunately the rubbery hands(not sure if its soft plastic?) make it difficult for me to recast it because i use blue stuff which requires heat and i am afraid it will melt the hands.
@@lagoweyeo4902 The price IS a pretty big detractor, I'll admit. Its probably the main reason I haven't gotten one yet- there are too many things that are cheaper and more satisfying. Like a good High Grade.
Only when you compare them to Bandai kits, which are the cheapest on the market. Kotobukiya is a much smaller company so they can't really afford to sell their kits as cheap. Theirs also the fact that they pre-paint parts which are expensive in itself.
@@MrFlunkorg the figure itself is a plastic model kit and it should be like figurine if the price is high. Compare to acid rain b2five figures, even tho is small and expensive, but it show some quality and sturdiness. i have one of hexagear soldier and vehicle. It's a good looking figure and vehicle but flimsy and easily loose (especially joint). im not talking bad on kotobukiya figures, their product are great, especially frame arms girl that have already painted face. But for hexagear is too expensive for a 3 inch model kit. Plus, not all hexagear have pre painted, you have to paint more details on the vehicle or soldier, just like bandai model kit. (sorry for my bad english.)
I do miniature wargaming. That price is pretty good for us. Usually we're $30+ for a single stationary pose mini and are expected to have several of these "hero" type single minis and dozens of troop types at $5-$10 per miniature to fill out an army. We also don't get our kits in pre-colored plastic, so paining isn't a luxury option, it's a requirement. Totally different hobbies, but I'm guessing the cost for plastic isn't more because it is being injected into a wargame sprue.
I love hexa gear really solid models only thing I don't like is they don't have much of an in line expansion yet. The msg parts I'm using pop apart all the time so totally fustrating. But besides that I really enyjoy the line
AFAIK koto still does make zoids kits, they're just stupid slow to come out with new ones (i know they have detail up versions of the berserk fury and liger zero armors)
Great video as always! This is a cool looking Hexa. I got the Early Governor one and am not too crazy about it at all. Just gotta break out some glue as whenever you try to put the chest knifes on the head, front skirt, and shoulder pads pop off!! The Early Governor definitely cannot pass the physical so that why I am giving it a 4F rating!! Use only after using all the women and children first!! OUCH!! But will definitely link your video!!
gerardray123 That seems way too expensive, just look on ebay. I just got 2 from japanese ebayers last week. One was 7 bucks the other 8(I do think they were on sale)Cheapest shipping is only couple bucks and Ive yet to wait longer than a week on a package from japan (I live almost as far away from japan as physically possible) and being so cheap theres no worries about customs charges and stuff. Or it could also be that the moon gundam is cheap at your local hobbystore haha they go for 35-40 euros here.
@@ApenBaard ikr. Nevermind shopping internationally. The customs regulation here is ridiculous. Import taxes can cost me as much as the items I bought or even more.
gerardray123 yeah same here, we can go up to 21 euros though without getting charged so if you look on ebay and amazon.de you can actually find some hgs that come from japan and are under 21 euros with shipping included. The hgs that are sold for 25 euros in Hobby stores here are usually only around 15 euros on japanese ebay/amazon.de so Ican still save some money on those at least.
Bandai actually has some of the cheapest model kit prices on the market. Kotobukiya pricing is more standard. Makes sense considering that bandai is a much, much larger company then kotobukiya. It's also worth noting that Bandai holds copyrights for multicolored runners, so other companies have to spend more money producing separate coloured runners and/or pre-painting parts.
Glade to see a review on the governors before I get one. I may hold off on them for a bit. I did buy a Bulkarm today and not really sure what to expect. From what I've hear Kotobukiya's models are known to be pretty damn customize-able. My adventure with Kotobukiya started with me wanting to get my hands on a Lost Plant model. (mainly the PTX-40A and Bleed VS) However all i can find are limited overpriced toys of the DIROS. One of my friends pointed me to the Hexa GEARs and Kotobukiya's models in general saying that I could build my own VSs using the Hexa GEARs and other models because of how customize-able they are. Is there any truth to that, and any advice to a new comer to the Kotobukiya models? I'm mostly use to GamesWorkshop minis, Bandai, Italeri, and Tamiya model kits. with some NECA figures here and there.
Hey Mecha Gaikotsu, can you also review kotobukiya's zoids line especially the one you made a comparison with hexagear animal mecha? I would like to hear your opinion too. 😂😂
Bro where are other hexa gear reviews?... Like this was a great vid and id love to see more viseos from this... They have way more vehicles and figures
I can see someone painting it up into Bane from DC comics
This screams Bane
Rubber hand would be soo hard to paint
Totally dude.. thats what i thought
Great to see u picking up hexa line. Nicely done

"Nanomachines son"
Lol
Raiden would be proud.
Or not xD
Our minds are linked..
Finally hd reveiws of hexagear. Thank you
I've seen a few of these. There's one that looks like a soldier that comes with a ton of optional parts that looks pretty tempting to me.
supergeno128ds yeah too bad there isn’t reviews on TH-cam for the early governor type, only unboxings.
@@ricepicker562 Yeah, they seem pretty niche right now.

Maybe the waist joint problem depends on the kit. I got the Governor Para-Pawn LAT Mirror and the waist joint is quite tight.
First saw this line of kits on your channel. Even if it's not Gunpla, I'm watching. 😎
The idea of kotobukiya hexa gear is great. Contain soldier and a vehicle. But it's waaay too overpricey for a model kit 3 inch figure.
Only when you compare them to Bandai kits, which are the cheapest on the market. Kotobukiya is a much smaller company so they can't really afford to sell their kits as cheap. Theirs also the fact that they pre-paint parts which are expensive in itself.
MrFlunkorg It's almost 20$ for hollow 3.75" and under figure, that's complete bullocks.
Akhaive True

Boy oh boy do I love this community.
Would love to see a full line of you reviewing these kits
Super cool! I had no idea these existed
Looking forward to the mecha.
Nice vid
reminds me of Nemesis, a villain from Resident Evil
This is what love child of MOTU figures and Stormtrooper looks like.

Hey look Rick's back
Hey dude great view another part of my day spent well! Keep it up (I think it would be cool if you reviewed the "not titanfall figures")
Yoooooo 888 views, cool keep up the great vids!
If you are great fans of 30mm, jump into the great hole of Hexa Gear too.
These 2 series really go very well together.
hmmm, how about kotobukiya's megami device? would love to see that
Damn the new upload schedule is nuts
2:20 The head looks like the head of the Leo grunt suit from Gundam Wing. LOL.
AFAIK koto still does make zoids kits, they're just stupid slow to come out with new ones (i know they have detail up versions of the berserk fury and liger zero armors)

Make more hexa gear reviews please 👌👌👌

Oooooo The Box looks good
These are neat but kind of expensive for what they are. Might still get some of mecha
You should review the Bulkarm with the Early governor type dude since they are made for each other
Articulation Stress-test means JerryRig ala Mecha Gaikotsu style... Joint-tests etc... haha :)
A.k.a manhandling lmao
Been looking through hexa gear figures, my only complain is that I wish they were a bit larger
I see in head kit bash between Darth Vader and DC Comics Bane plus Kotobukiya flare.
Can you please review warmage hetzer Governor.. please !!
Question: would it be easy to connect those gatling to a HG Gunpla in a War-Machine shoulder cannon fashion?
ARE YOU READING MY MIND?! I JUST HAD FOUND OUT ABOUT IT AND YOU MAKING A VIDIO OF IT???!!! MAN YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Really want to see you reviewing Governor Rose
I want to see that mecha armor and I will star to check the price.
Like always great review thanks for sharing
I would collect these little guys but i can get an HG Moon Gundam with the same price of one of these in local hobby shops.

MrFlunkorg Bandai model kits produced in Japan where as Koto ones produced in China, it should be far cheaper.

You should do Rayblade Impulse review if possible. Or the latest Hexa Gear series
1st, great video! Also, question. Do pigma pens work for panel lining?
100 percent does
I don't know about pigma pens, but I usually use drawing pen.
@@TheAriobagus Do you mean like, ballpoint pens or what?
Oh wait, pigma pen and drawing pen are the same. My bad.
Yes, they work well, but they can smear if you don't top coat the kit. They wipe off with an eraser or I use a toothpick in tight spots.
The weapons are so cool, I wish they could fit in HG Gundam hands

I know this is an older video but I just got the pawn 1.5 am hoping it was worth the twenty bucks
where did you buy it ive been trying to find that one for a while
review the HEXA GEAR AGNIRAGE. It's perfect for the Para-Pawn Expander.
Bro, where did you pick up that wicked ass diorama in the intro
i think Hexa Gear would work as a video game, probably also a table top game using the kits as the playing pieces.
Just checked their prices, way too overpriced. Might as well get some MG gunpla.
Total badassery👌
Now this is cool at all but I'd like to see some armored Core stuff
Bro where are other hexa gear reviews?... Like this was a great vid and id love to see more viseos from this... They have way more vehicles and figures
Any plans on doing a review on bandai super minipla power rangers megazord
So real grade astray or power ranger with paint and actual articulations
Governor Para-Pawn Expander aka Bane "Train"
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
Drinking game: Take a drink every time he says "badass".
can you take a look at the dragon kit from them :)
The dragon kit is ahout 40cm in wing span.
@@jhuang8538 that sounds I am just wondering how the build quality would be
it's possible for you to make a Zoid review anytime??
I got the LAT black rabbit because she reminds me of a slightly deformed Major Kusanagi.
Review kotobukiya convert body.
Sorry for being intrusive but why did mechagakotsu leave Japan?
I need hgbd shining break gundam review !
Would love to paint this model
I saw a 1/100 MG Ball in the background.
4:03 thats clearly a monarch and an Atlas
where can you get the"not titanfall" figures
I got mine from Ali Express but Hobbylink Japan and Big bad toy store stock them too
Review an old 1/24 scale zoid
I fucking love a thousand percent
Where are they based on exactly
I also just got this last month and havent touched it
I have every figure of them that comes out, only two vehicles they look amazing, great scale but yea the joints are the biggest issue.
Im buying one of these
Where is "who's that gundam part?"
@Chandlier Mirage yeah, but he has hundred of them
Bane on the plane?
@Sven Tempest so do the dark Knight bane
The Governor is here to PUMP YOU UP!
when i first saw him, it made me think of Sundowner from Metal Rising Revengeance
The less thicc 3 inches, like the regular pawn have a bit more possibility
I'm tempted to eventually get the Monoceros, but that damned price is already RG territory! :(
Such a big box for such a tiny thing.
These might look cool and all, but for me, size does matters.
Just bought my first gunpla SD gundam barbatos LUPUS
Bad choice
I thought it was something easy to start out with
Looks good to me
8:42 say that again for gunpla
Joy toy steel knights review when :4)
Thx @Mechagaikotsu... Thx for injecting me new 'poison'... now i can't stop google info these kits...
If only i can buy kotobukiya kits without having to rely on online shops
Is it just me ,or does some of the govenors looks like a video game character
Seems you've never seen mega custrux
When you said animal based, I was thinking more along the lines of Transformers Beast Wars/Beast Machines than Zoids
First
Of the hundreds
XD
thats a T H I C C boyyy
I was going to get this until I realized how small it is.
They remind us of a grown-up version of M.u.s.c.l.e men!
Review more!!!!!!!!!
He somewhat resembles the Batman Forever version of Bane, heh.
IM FINALLY EARLY AGAIN
