My fav Flash moment is where batman is interrogating one of Flash's villains violently and Flash instead sits down and has a drink with him and reminds him that he's off his meds. His villain didnt even realize he put his villain costume back on. After he finishes his drink he turns himself in. Mental health hero king
There's a Green Arrow comic where Oliver pays off low level criminals and gives them jobs. When Black Canary confronts him about it (using very Batman-esque logic) Oliver says that people who are only criminals out of necessity deserve to be helped. He is also very pro-protecting addicts and the mentally ill (one of the few things the show got right about his character).
@@geoffreysorkin5774see Batman could learn a thing or two about that. If he forgot for a second about his dead parents and his belief that all criminals are evil, he could do so much more to help the people he fights that aren’t completely lost.

I've always found that really weird how ever in Batman canon is dealing with mental issues:

Clayface = Body Dysmorphia/Personality Disorder
Penguin = Inferiority Complex
The Riddler = Narcissism
Joke = Psychopathy
Mr. Freeze = Emotional Detachment
Poison Ivy = Misanthropy
Harley Quinn = Codependence
Mad Hatter = Disassociation
Really, it's very interesting to see the rogues gallery of heroes in general It provides a lot of insight into the character.

One thing to note: Bruce isn't just trauma, he's internalization. He fights crime on similiar grounds as the criminals he faces. Rather than fighting the infrastructural problems with Gotham that lead people to crime.
@@UncleJrueForTue This piece of head canon really bugs me. Bruce Wayne has done a ton to address the institutional problems that cause crime in Gotham and he has gotten good results. But Gotham also needs the Batman. Everyone in the city would have died multiple times over if Batman hadn't saved it all the times he did.
Look, in the beginning of his career Batman concentrated on fighting the organized crime that had a stranglehold on near every aspect of life in Gotham city. He did a lot to stop, or at least mitigate, that problem. I mean, you can argue that he is the reason why Super villains became a thing in Gotham but the current status quo of super villains being ascendent in Gotham is actually better then the old status quo where the mob controlled everything and basically all politicians and police were corrupt and on the take.
