Thanks very much for this. My 4 year old son loves the 1st side of Trilogy so we've been practicing this every day.

Since I was 11 years old back in 1970, Greg Lake has and always will be my favourite musician of all time. A great arpeggio guitarist and one of the most underrated bass players of all time, all topped off with a voice like no other, he was the complete musician in every sense of the word. I shall miss him for the rest of my life. Thanks for doing this & Lucky Man. It means allot to me James that you did these. Thank you!

Great song and playing. I could never do the fast run you did at 2:15 into the video. I love watching your videos. I learned "If I Laugh" by Cat Stevens from you a few years back. Keep on rockin'!

KathyJo Morris There’s a live version of “Still You Turn Me On” on TH-cam from one of the California Jam’s in the 70’s where Greg is playing it solo acoustically and it just blows me away. Such a talented guy.

it's amazing isn't it how many people think that Greg fingerstyle this one..but literally with just a good extra thick pick he simply just precision picked it one thing he was very good doing and he wasn't a finger picker..I'm only had about 3/4 speed on this one for the last about 8 months I go back to it every now and then it plays smoothly it flows smoothly but the speed just isn't there..
I just got myself 2 sun t-shirts myself about a hundred miles east of Memphis when I rolld up to the north forty truck stop at holladay Tennessee last week
looks like that, one only mine is more of a camouflage green on one then I got a red one..
what you see people that try to give lessons that don't know what they're doing on this one and they talk about how we finger-picked it it's like no he did not he flat picked that bad boy.. great job you got that one nice and fluent

Impeccable James! Great song , and great cover/lesson.I was playing 2 parts slightly differently than you, but after playing it your way, I thing you are right. The notes I played are the same..but in a different "voicing" or strings. And the fast riff that is only played once..the chromatic run from E string, to A string, to D string ,I always played it as the minor A scale instead of chromatic. Both fit, and are easily missed to the untrained ear, but I think maybe you are correct. Love your stuff man!! Keep `em comin!!

Armand, it is called learning to play by ear, and by trial and erroe. We had no tab. or You Tube free shit as young teens learning in the 80`s. James and I are both 52 and we had to learn by playing the tape..listening close, trying out where the guitarist was and repeat, over and over and over 500 times. We practiced for hours on end with inspiration com ing out iin the form of new records coming out every 6 months. Metallica, Priest, Maiden, Van Halen, Queensryche, to name a few... but there were many others like Ratt, Motley Crue , Ozzy, Rainbow, Stevie Ray Vaughn...then we had the classics that were only a few years before like Boston, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Yes, ELP, etc. We were at concerts every month or so. Be diligent man, and you will get there. But ya gotta practice until it hurts...literally. Do picking patterns ,finger exersises by going up and down scales ,hammering on and pulling off up and down the neck with all 4 fingers until your hand cannot move and is cramped. Play thru the pain and you will see how fast you get chops!

Hey always enjoy your channel....but.... lol. The chord you are playing 10th fret 4th string 9th fret third string is not correct. The correct chord is 10th fret 4th string 12th fret 3rd string. That is all.
