We had him here in Minnesota and I didn't think much of him. Was always super hesitant and had a really weak arm. Crazy seeing him so decisive.Never seen a quarterback improve so much late in his career, it just doesn't happen. But of course being a Viking fan the one time it did happen it happened to us 😂
Well, when you try to cover two Hall of Famers, including the first wide receiver to win the Heisman, you're going to have difficulty keeping a third guy under wraps too.
@@charlesrazo7246yeah but think about how many players never even get to play in a superbowl. Gannon had a hell of a season and the loss in the superbowl dosen't change that.

He was not under utilized. Porter was the WR1 when Brown & Rice left. He just didn't produce. But to be fair, after Ganon broke his neck we've never had another QB
Coming here as a broncos fan bc someone said Bo Nix plays like Rich Gannon, and i think they're right. Unconventional throwing motion, mobility, quick passes, threading defenders. If this is what Bo looks like still in 15 years and he still plays for the broncos ill be dang happy

Thanks to Al Davis, he was denied a championship ring. His stupidity got rid of the coach who made Gannon the qb he was in the years they were playoff contenders. Next thing you know, he ended up playing vs his former coach in the SB. A coach who knew his style of playing. Nice going Al DUMBvis. You cost yourself a 4th Lombardi trophy 🏆.
Glad to hear that! As a Raider fan since 1974, I simply don't understand this over-the-top admiration for AD? To me, he was an embarrassment to the club, especially the last 10 years of his life. Idk man. Those early 2000's Eagle teams were tough. Their defense swarmed to the football and every tackle they made they were trying to knock the ball carrier out. Defensive co. Jim Johnson (rip) loved to blitz and they were so good at getting to the qb and keeping him off balance. Maybe the Raiders don't get blown out like they did against the Bucs, but they wouldn't have just had their way against Philly's defense like that. Probably would've been close and a really good game tbh.
Eagles were heavily favored to beat Tampa in the NFC title game and would've definitely been the favorite against Oakland in that Super Bowl. They had a similarly scary defense to Tampa led by a prime Brian Dawkins, and also Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, etc. and were also stronger than Tampa on the offensive side with Mcnabb at QB, Westbrook at RB, and a great O-Line. Andy Reid was also the Head Coach and all we know what he's capable of. However, Tampa ended up whooping both teams en route to the franchise's first SB title. My money is on Philly in that SB if they didn't underestimate Tampa so much in that NFC title game, and I think a lot of people probably felt that way at the time too so idk where you get the idea that "everyone" knew the Raiders would win that matchup.
Jeff George is better than rich Gannon Our decline from 2003 to 2016 is because of gruden getting old players and bill Callahan guys like rice Armstrong and bill and rod woodson and

Gannon was good at spreading the ball around. Everyone ate
Gannon was so wildly underrated. He had great mobility, accuracy, ability to read defenses, and was tough.

Why can’t we have another QB like him? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
