Everyone says a jag would beat a leopard in a fight with no problem. But leopards are so much quicker than jags and they are more aggressive too. A leopard fought off a pride of lionnesses. Even if a jag would on average beat a leopard, it wouldn't be as easy as people think it would be. A good sized male leopard in his prime is no joke at all.

The captions at the end of the fight are wrong, this is from the official blog post about the fight from Londolozi's blog. " Despite winning the fight, the Camp Pan male left alone. Bloody and scarred, the Dudley 5:5 Male limped off behind the Vomba 3:2 Female and mated with her later that day. Even though he lost the battle, he still somehow managed to get the spoils". The captions at the end are the fight are the same as the captions at the start. Camp pan is the bigger one. +Londolozi Game Reserve The captions at the end of the fight are wrong the male standing in the front with blood on his neck is 5:5 the male standing in the back is Camp Pan he has no blood on his neck and the first shot of 5:5 at the begining of the video which is clearly after the fight his neck is covered in blood just like the leopard standing closest too the camera at the end of the fight. Also for those who follow the leopards in the Sands its well known Camp Pan is much larger than 5:5 and the male in the back is larger also its clear too me who is who as I can ID these leopards. I know this video is old but can you please edit it and correct the captions as it does confuse the people who dont follow these leopards on the facebook pages and blogs and who dont know them thanks.

The description is wrong (naming the leopards, they got them mixed up MANY TIMES) example: 2:49 the one on the bottom is the one who won, which is dudley Riverbank 5:5 male.... they are claiming its camp pan... he is the winner in the end walking, not camp pan* . (Dudley winner is the oje on the botten, he is the one walking at the end) They mixed them up. Funny because its very easy to tell these two apart (the red blood on the neck also the other leopard is alot older and has a different spot patten/lighter color. (You can also see at the beginning 0.09 he has red on his neck in the beginning as well) also spot pattern this is dudley... as they said, they just got the leopards mixed up at a few times during the fight

      And who cares that?
P4P has only some utility in human fights. In the wild everything is open division. The absolute winner, the lion, takes all the prizes. The rest only collects the crumbs.
And yes, leopards are vicious when they attack humans. They may be more dangerous than lions or tigers. They are very fast and do not focus on a single target.

Wow. Normally, Leopards will not engage in physical confrontation. Living primarily solitary lives, they know that if they are injured, it could might lead to death. Leopards, unlike lions, which live in prides or coalitions and can eat what others have caught, must be physically able to hunt for themselves (or, steal, when they can, if they are able).
Leopards delineate territorial boundaries by frequent scent marking and sawing. Because of their unique way of life, above paragraph, these behaviors usually suffice.
I was holding my breath while I watched them fight. I was/am extremely relieved to see them part ways in, seemingly, fair shape.

when i see this i think oh good, that's bad, these animals are very important because they are an endangered specie, and then i see how they are just doing exactly what we do. Because we don't fight just a man against another, we are thousend of man agains another thousend of man! but we fight for the same reason than them, resourses( food, water, money), for the control of a territory....we think we are better but we are still like animals.

Amar Mishra Then you have missed out on some important information. Also, keep in mind that those are two different predators. Can assure you that fights between two leopards can be just as brutal and deadly. They’re solitary animals and one injury can be a deaths sentence for leopards. Lions live in prides and coalitions so they can risk more. It’s the same thing for cheetahs where one injury might stop them from hunting then starve to death. I’ve seen how brutal the fights can be and the horrible aftermath of one.
