I had the same rattle a few weeks ago and I took in to a muffler shop, guy new the problem right away and offered this solution: he completely removed the actuator and welded them on the side somewhere as to not get a check engine light and get the open valve all the time... is this a good thing? LOL
@@williamphillips1240 1st of all, I appreciate you answering my question. Thank you. And just to clarify, when you say the motor will run more, you mean more gas consumption or what’d you mean?
Yes spring stays in and works as it usually does. seats on to a rotating platform that allows it to operate correctly and prevent any code from occurring, because its disconnected from the actual turning of the valve
Your valves are more expensive then others...they look great but 19 up if valves are locked and spring removed won't cause check engine light to come on.
We are not interested in being the cheapest, just the best, and we are in more ways than just looks. Your incorrect, all of the valves, not just 19 and up can be held open if you hold them them open in some way, no such thing as locking them. Suggest you run this a bit longer to know. The motor without resistance will free wheel without a stop position so you will hear them running more often.
Question so the first plate you put on the active exaust motar with spin the piece on the plate giving the idea its doing its job without touching the actual spring?
Yes, but to fill in a small detail. that plate also on the other side holds the valve open constantly. and the side your talking about allows the motor to function as normal and not signal the CPU.
@@williamphillips1240hello William I just wanted to ask will this work on a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack cause there is a rattling on mine and it doesn't rattle when it's on track mode but I would like to know if this would fit on a charger perhaps. If it does I will get one asap.
First plate stabilizes by locking the valve wide open on the valve side. Motor side of that plate has a rotating seat for the spring, with stops that allows the motor to work exactly as it does with the spring in place as it would be OEM. Cant throw a code or bind as some kits could cause, or wear out the motor. It does what it would do as if stock accept the valve is open. It all mounts cleanly with a machined stand off for mounting the motor as it rides on the OEM set up. Noise changer only, does NOT effect emissions. Hope this helps Bill
@@leechgod3486 sounds like it will. Please see my response above this one that explains it better. track mode pins the valve open most of the time not all the time.
Will this fix the rattle from the solenoid? I tried the zip tie and spring delete but the solenoid is still kinda lose and it's still rattling a little bit.
It may or may not, Dodge has an issue with the valve itself. my product pins it open and correctly allows the motor to function normal with out binding the spring. some have used it and it solved it, Sorry cant guarantee it would stop a rattle
