Andy made a great decision getting a small cheap daily. I just got a Mini Cooper S for £1500 and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned

I cant tell for sure but you mentioned a rubber bit, my fathers trailer has what is called torsion axle. His has the two sides connected with a full axle but they also sell half axles which each wheel would have its own independent unit. Hope this helps, good luck with the fix!
Possibly an e30 for the new car?
Find a suitable car wheel bearing hub and weld it on or make your own mount for it. I got an old converted boat trailer from my Dad and it was a POS but handy. NEVER loan your trailer, people will ruin the fenders & lights then say they'll fix em but never do.
Truck may be a better idea to handle more load
Yo for the Defender build out of the interior - I would highly recommend Thomas Heaton's camper van build. He's a photographer in the UK and he built out a van for travel. Very intuitive design and great quality. He has like a 4 part video series on it that might give you some solid ideas

Only reason I still come on TH-cam is because of this channel, always loved the cupra! It’s a proper grandad spec 18 foot long 90s bmw or merc. It’s all gonna end in tears because to replace any part on it is gonna be a million quid. Be great fun though for the 40 miles it lasts before it’s brought back on a recovery truck haha
The trailer axles are called duratorques, they’re a pain in the ass to find in nz!
Mx5 hands down, NA version too. You can get a maccys meal in under 10 mins too you know
Idea for a series/video, car tour around uk with all the boys and stop off at local car meet over the week. There are some mad ones up north. Be great to do over summer with all the boys and could camp or stay in air b&b
If all fails with the trailer. Get a half pipe built or some ramps you can built on it or to take off. Don’t forget to bar our though 🤟🏻

Content idea 💡 mini series, trip to Germany, hit some bike tracks, skate parks on the way to the ring. Be hefty on fuel, but great content. Especially with the yaris bombing around the ring.

Put that trailer on the back of that Land Rover and take it to the local scap yard and leave the trailer there then go get an iforwilliams

Yo, been watching for years, recently bought a bmw 325i. I want to skid it and have a bit of fun as it's my first proper project(inspired by yourself). I've done small bits like brakes before but I have a tight budget and loving the bmw's on the channel, just need an lsd as it's my daily and a welded would be he'll. Any suggestions for straight swaps.
