Personally, I ordered the 12 but, this too looks amazing. In addition, I'm gratified that OnePlus resisted the trend and ignored the flat screen. I prefer the curved glass and it makes the device far more ergonomic. Truthfully, I absolutely hate the look of these flat slab Flintstone phones. Lol. They have absolutely no design imagination.
Thank you for sharing your opinion Personally, I prefer a curved screen too, it gives a smooth holding experience and is even smoother when sliding back. 👍
Best Oneplus 12R review yet 👌 👏 💯% Love the deep diving into the hardware of the phone! 1600 battery 🔋 cycles & the cooling system! And so on! Awesome job! 👊🏻😎
@oneplusfan5270 Welcome 🙏 Question in your opinion for price wise & specs! Longevity! Would you pick the Oneplus 12R 16gb/256 $560 with trade in of my current phone 📱 Or Poco X6 Pro 12Gb/256 $539 Or Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 12gb/256 $599 These prices are higher then alot of counties due to the poor exchange rate here in Canada 🇨🇦 usually we pay on average for phones/Electronics 35% More 🙄 Appreciate any feed back! Thanks 👊🏻
This is a great question! ✊ Thank you for asking this. I'm actually surprised that in Canada Xiaomi smartphones can cost more than the OnePlus ones. If I had to choose from these 3, I'd most likely go with the OnePlus 12R, and here are the reasons: -8Gen2 - Regular usage-wise Dimensity SoC is also very fast, but if you want 4K60fps recording, for example, 12R can do that. -Bigger battery, 5,500 vs 5,000 mAh -A lot bigger cooling area -Brighter display -More premium built material, aluminum vs plastic -More RAM -OxygenOS :) -Alert Slider With this being said, Xiaomi and Poco still might be good options for some people, but definitely not at this price range. I think they should price them to about 15-30% less than what they are currently asking. Hope this helps. 🤝
@oneplusfan5270 Thank you for your feedback 🙏 With your answers, I'm going to stick with the Oneplus 12R. There are a lot of great points over the other two phones 📱 Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro plus isn't more expensive. The Oneplus 12R 16Gb/256 regular price is $799 with the trade in of my Samsung S20 Plus 5G Oneplus Trade in Program valued my phone $240 off the $799 Regular price down to $559 🙃 Very courius how much is the Oneplus 12R 16Gb/256 where you are ? Thanks again for your help much appreciated 👍 👊🏻
@nccapone344 I'm sure you're talking about Canadian Dollars. And yeah, the prices are in line with everywhere else in the world. OnePlus 12R costs 700 CAD everywhere else in the world too. @nccapone34
Not even close, pretty crazy how oneplus adds a charging brick & pre applied screen protector! Especially for a mid range phone @ this price point. The battery 🔋 5,500Mah & 80W charging is insane for the price & 4500 Nits brightness is unbelievable 😳
Can you please help me ? I really like the 12 r and want to get one but the only concern I think and stumble about is the camera performance... Look, I am not a camera geek but is the main camera good for random clicks which would be usable in different scenarios... Can anyone please provide some clarity ??? Thankyou
Hey there! I understand your concern about the camera performance on the OnePlus 12R, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. While the 12R is primarily focused on delivering exceptional performance, the camera system is still quite capable for most everyday photography needs. Hope this helps.
Very informative ...thank you. Can i get assistance? When i transfered from my oneplus 9Pro to the oneplus 12R my music cannot play on the 12 R. Therefore i can use any of my songs for ringtones, alarms or listen to my downloaded CDs. I can play them on my 9Pro... TIA
Hmm, that's strange about the music not playing on your new 12R. How about trying transfer one more time - maybe the files didn't come over fully. If that doesn't work, reach out to OnePlus support. They should be able to help troubleshoot and get your music library playing properly on the new device.
Thank you for your reply ...After researching a little more.. I found in order to play my songs I would need to download a music player because OnePlus does not support Windows . I converted some for ringtone by using MP3 sound bites. Now I'm removing duplicate songs I copied@@OPTechWithAskar
I wanted to go with the OnePlus 12 this year but the thickness of the phone at 9.2 mm is uncomfortable in hand. Phones should be a bit thinner even if it means making it wider to fit in everything you want.
That's an interesting point. On the other hand, I do think it would be a bit challenging for OnePlus to put the top specs and the most advanced cooling system in a smartphone, and make it even thinner. According to you, what is the most comfortable size of a smartphone?
Wider?? I'd rather have it thicker, cause that at least adds space for a noticeable battery size increase. And also, at this point phones are already too wide for people with smaller hands.
@@jatin9204 I also don't see any problem with the curved screen. Well, everyone has different preferences, that's why I don't take anyone's words seriously
In the words of @FLOSSYCARTER ...GOOGLE, APPLE, SAMSUNG,SONY....FKN SONY.... PUT THE DAMN CHARGER IN THE BOX ☑️ 😂 PRESENTATION IS IMPORTANT JUST LIKE A TOMAHAWK STEAK.... I WANT A REAL FORK AND STEAK 🔪 KNIFE, NOT PLASTIC UTENSILS? BOOM 💥

The 1+12R is a beast of a mid-range flagship that makes Pixel 7a seem like a dumb purchase.

So is better than the pixel 7 pro?
It's crazy how we can say snapdragon 8 gen 2 is a midrange 🫤
Good review brother subbed ❤️🙏

The OnePlus 12r isn't equiped with graphite battery technology yet. It's still Lithium ion.
Thanks for sharing your amazing information 😅
My pleasure 😊
the only thing i dont like : curved screen
Curved display feels more premium to me idk everyone got a diff taste ...
I used to think that too, but let me assure you, it's so minimal you'll start loving this curved display, it's great
@@jatin9204 I also don't see any problem with the curved screen. Well, everyone has different preferences, that's why I don't take anyone's words seriously
There was nothing wrong with curve displays until one TH-cam tech reviewer started complaining and his minions of sheep followed
I can't believe people can be hating a curved display,a curved display is so premium, indeed people have different tastes
i wish all phone company will ditch the shitty 2 mp micro camera.
I feel like the whole review is too robotic and straight out of AI, there was no critique. Pretty much like a launch event.☹
