I would thoroughly enjoy a video about left hand legato. More often than not, more attention is put on the bow technique, and less is communicated about the left.
omg I've been struggling with this very thing and trying to figure out how to make my left hand sound clearer. Thank you! I will start practicing this today. Also, yes, please, you have my vote for a left hand legato mastercass. :D
Hi! Thank you so much!!! This is amazing! I started cello 2 years ago after my ballet career and this is ever so helpful! Danke! Yes please for left hand Legato 🎉
Hey Johannes! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, they are cool and insightful. One thing I've been wondering a lot about is how to facilitate fast bow strokes- for instance, the sautille stroke- while remaining loose and free of tension. (I've always found that I can get the sautille stroke to sound for a little bit, but my muscles inevitably always fatigue.)
I'm wondering exactly the same! They always tell me to let the bow loose (loosen the grip) and it will start to jump on it's own, but to keep the tempo I always tense up at some point and the jumping stops. Would love to get a mini masterclass on this :)
Hallo Johannes, einfach großartig Deine Videos und Erklärungen! Vielen, vielen Dank! Ich warte sehnsüchtig auf Deine Tips für legato left hand! Hat das etwas mit energischem Heben des Fingers zu tun? Thanks a lot 😊
Thanks for this info Mr Moser! Could you possibly do a mini master class on the bow change at the frog, especially the hand position and shape on the A string - see a lot of people curve their hand on the upstroke a lot, only to sort of grip the bow with closed hand and curved thumb?? for the down bow change.....I never seem to get a smooth bow change... thank you!!! Maciej

Why "mini" masterclass ? 😀😇
You should make longer of these masterclasses, real gems 🤗
