Made these twice in the last week... Rave reviews from those who've tried it. And this is seriously one of the greatest things I've ever tasted. Sweet peaches, salty prosciutto, creamy, fresh burrata and a subtle basil bite - uh yes - it's amazing.
I feel like this could work really well on pizza, too! Peaches & prosciutto are pretty similar to pineapple & ham. And as Chef John showed, they go well with mozzarella and basil! Just cut the peaches into smaller, bite-sized pieces.
I don't come here for the food. I'm too poor, too lazy and too vegetarian to actually make any of these recipes. But I come here to hear this man's soothing voice and inspire myself from the passion with which he cooks. If I can be half as good at what I do, I can touch greatness. :)
Fantastic! Not that I want you to go away, but vacations have a way of being inspirational and allow one to focus on simplifying one's life. Not too many notes. You are the Mozart of your food art.
Beautiful looking dish chef John. Going to make this later today since I have all the ingridents except peaches, but a trip to the market will take care of that. Let you know how it comes out. Cheer!
Hello Chef John! I've followed and watched ur videos for years, but first time commenting! I would love to see u make a video on the cold soup vichyssoise. Just an idea. Thanks so much
Ok, Chef John, my name is Luis Rodriguez and I live in Connecticut. I know most parent read bed stories to their children before they go to bed. I do as well, but I think My son Luca and I have seen more of your videos before bed than reading regular bedtime stories. He is 5 years old and we have been watching since he was two (I know...that might be bad parenting). Tonight, he asked me if you were real. I said yes and he asked me where do you lived. I said California. Well, he asked when we can meet you. I think you got yourselves a super 5 year old fan and I hope he gets to meet you one day. And yes, he wants to try the peaches with prosciutto!
You know I was pretty annoyed I didn't have any chef John recipes to watch this last week, but this recipe more than made up for the time away. Thanks chef.
Lol people already disliking the video. Freaking haters these days I swear.Although I must say I hate you man because now I'm feeling hungry and it's 1 AM.
Chef, will this dish work with Mangos? Or will it be too sweet and over power? Just wondering because I can't wait for the store to open for peaches & want to make this NOW!!!
Any ideas for a summer dessert. With fruits and not too heavy? Maybe like a crust less tart or something? I'm gluten free so even if it has a crust I can modify it! I know you're busy so if you can't it's ok! Thanks Chef
I have no idea if you take requests but if you do can you please post a recipe on chow mein? I can't seem to find a good quality video anywhere on TH-cam and I would love if you would make one! I love your videos and I wished a lot more people posted chinese cooking videos so I hope maybe you'll do a couple?
So, I think you should take me with you on your next vacation! : )) this reminds me of a prosciutto wrapped, goat cheese stuffed bbq'd fig recipe my family uses. Well, I guess that is the recipe! If you think people should know about it, feel free to do a video about it! Cheers!

Man, those flavors together.. incredible!
John's sense of humour is my favourite - I don't quite know why. It's so subtle and harmless yet clever and I wish that more guys had it...
Thanks chef John, only 39 seconds into the video I spat out water with a laugh due to "the teaches of peaches" you never cease to surprise me.
No cayenne? Are you okay John?
I was just given some peaches and I was contemplating what to do with them, now I know! I am definitely going to give this a try!

This looks amazing! Totally dinner party worthy. I'm going to try it ASAP.
I just went and pick two huge boxes of peaches so you can imagine my excitement when my favorite chef ever has tons of peach recipes!

Chef John. What type of peach do you prefer to use for this recipe? Sweeter or more acidic?
Were you by chance inspired by the peaches and burrata at Artisan in Paso Robles? My friends and I ate there this weekend and it was great!
Chef John, Do you think adding pomegranate seeds will add or detract from this recipe?
U r the Hercule Poirot of cooking
I have to try this!

Colorado Peaches are in season! I think Cunninghams?
Wow this looks gooood!!
Would ricotta or creamy goat cheese be a good substitute for burrata? Because somehow using regular mozarrela doesn't seem very appealing...
Very delicious !!!

I don't think it matters that much but did you purposely leave out the "i" in appetizer in the title?
Love me some chef john!
