The joy of listening to Melanie is that she has marvelous balance in her views; she sees the spectrum of politics whole. Few of our political leaders do, either out of political ideology or out of self-interest. However, it is noteworthy that she is speaking to a small audience at Ahavath Torah Congregation. Many thanks to the congregation for their sponsorship. But she deserves a far wider audience. She should be on TV with her own political talk show, and the fact that she is not speaks volumes about the neo-Marxist control of the mainstream media.

Thank you for putting this online. This is the kind of commonsense talk that we in Britain are unable to hear because the state media (horrible term to have to use) and the consensus liberal mainstream media will not give a platform, ever, to the views of non-comsensus speakers. Censorship by other means. Thank you so much, keep the flame of Judeo-Christian civilisation burning brightly.

One of the most intelligent and articulate speakers and contemporary thinkers, with a balanced perspective on politics, culture and the deep value of democracy and western civilization that I have come across. She has an impressively rational perspective that includes the essential "sacred" as part of her down to earth insight and vision.

Well, despite the efforts of the British political establishment, Britain managed to Brexit in January 2020. It's great to be a British citizen, a citizen of a self-governing independent nation state once again. I was 8 years old when Britain surrendered its sovereignty to the EEC. I never thought until 2015 that I would ever again live in an independent United Kingdom.

Very interesting lecture. Thank you. Imo, Brexit was never expected to actually happen. Cameron included the referendum in the Conservative Party manifesto to ensure a win in the General Election. He was shocked when we voted for Brexit. Today is almost July 2023 and the influence of the ruling elites is just as strong. When Labour get back in power I suspect they will try to rejoin the E.U. It will be on even worse terms.

Records show that it was 19th and 20th century Jewish settlement and the resulting employment opportunities that drew successive waves of Arab immigrants to Palestine. “The Arab population shows a remarkable increase ….. partly due to the import of Jewish capital into Palestine and other factors associated with the growth of the [Jewish] National Home..” (The Peel Commission Report - 1937)
“..in the Jewish settlement Rishon l’Tsion founded in 1882, by the year 1889, the forty Jewish families settled there, had attracted more than four hundred Arab families.... Many other Arab villages had sprouted in the same fashion.” (Joan Peters - From Time Immemorial p. 252 - referenced further as: FTI)
British PM Winston Churchill said in 1939: “.. far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country [Palestine]..

It was the same with South Africa. Most of the black South African population came there because it was more successful financially, then they received the world’s sympathy through sheer numbers. No one pointed out that the indigenous Koi San were pushed out by West African financial migrants.

Well thought out presentation. I have always found it curious that those who promote epistemological and moral relativism, in support of their efforts to dismiss Western cultural and moral credibility, turn around almost immediately to advance "moral" arguments designed to characterize Western civilization as racist, oppressive, and imperialistic. But if morality and truth are in no way objective, there is no way to criticize such things--even if the allegations were true. To claim that Western values are "bad" necessarily implies that there are particular values that can legitimately exclude the values of certain cultures. That is, the very act of making a moral judgment demands that the basis of that judgment has legitimate authority. If knowledge is relative, as it is from the post-modern point of view, then there are no facts. That is the end of any logical argument. If values are merely subjective, then that is the end of moral philosophy and moral imperatives. Are the voices of certain groups excluded from the discussion of political policy? So what? To claim that this is wrong, one must advance a moral value possessing legitimate objective authority. But if values are subjective, no such objective moral authority is possible. What does that mean? That leaves force as the only effective moral argument. The denial of objective morality and truth makes impossible the view that Western civilization has been a bad influence both factually and morally. If one embraces the view that "knowledge claims" and "morality" are culturally determined, one cannot then turn around and say that the "knowledge claims" and "morality" of Western civilization are bad international influences. Unless one becomes a hopeless hypocrite, one cannot, under the current way of thinking, ever justify such judgments. That is the result of embracing a self-refuting ideology that can only devour itself. Modern progressives are simply a stereotype of the Puritans whom they would mock. They are as self-righteous, imperious, and unreflective as their stereotype of the Puritan oligarchy, but they lack a systematic theology to establish their worldview. It is almost humorous to hear people who embrace nihilistic supposition to speak solemnly about moral principles. It is no accident that their public protests more reflect the toddler's temper tantrum, rather than the protests of rational adults with serious grievances. The historic struggle to establish freedom of speech politically reflects adult rationality; the demand that others use one's preferred pronouns, to avoid the presumed damage done by "misgendering," is the work of children having a temper tantrum to get others to bend to their will.

Shocking how this has panned out over the last 7 years. The west is in an even worse shape, identity politics is rife, it’s driven a wedge between communities, the gap between the rich and poor is even bigger, western values are basically dead, Brexit has had an awful impact on the economy as has covid, the war in Ukraine, the middle classes are screwed, property prices are astronomical, schools are underfunded but teaching the worst kind of identity drivel.
My kids are mixed and my wife is black British and all identity politics has done is make people look at them through the lens of skin colour.
Sad times. But there is a push back developing.

To understand the problems Europe has with the concept of self governing nations, you have to go back to the end of the second world war. The lessons that countries like Germany (the driving force in Europe) took from the war are very different from those of the victorious allied powers: It was not Germany that was to blame, but the concept of the nation state. This is perhaps understandable, as it broadens the guilt.
The argument is that the reason why there has been no European war since, is because of the EU. If there are no nation states. There can be no war between nations. If there are no borders. There can be no wars for territory. But that is not the lesson that the UK learnt from the war (neither did the US). It was the lack of political freedom that allowed leaders such as Hitler and Mussolini to do what they did and get away with it. It was the lack of freedom of speech against those in power that meant the right questions were never asked. And all those things rest on democratic accountability.
You can do the wrong thing for the right reasons. But it the end, if you ignore the will of the people for what you see as political necessity, then you are nothing more than a benign dictatorship. And benign dictatorships tend to grow into bad dictatorships. And bad dictatorships often lead to war.

Genesis chapters 1 through 11 are primitive history of the human race while 12 through 50 are the patriarchal history of Israel from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob forward. Gods creation of the nation's at the Tower of Babel also gives a list of the nation's in Genesis chapter 11 and then Paul reiterates this in Acts 17 around verse 31 when he says God created the habitations and all the nations and so anybody who defies that is actually anti-god and pro Satan. this goes Way Beyond just human politics or human cultural issues this is about the battle between the holy God of the Bible the one true God the Creator God and the great usurper Satan himself. please read the Bible where you can read about the Antichrist who is to come in Daniel chapter 7 chapter 9 chapter 11. you can read about the Antichrist in the Ezekiel 14, in Jeremiah, in Isaiah ....you can read about him in the New Testament andin the letters to the Thessalonian Christians and especially in the Book of Revelation. I would entreat all of you to look into the word of God because it is brilliantly clear how our world is going to end. Go to gty.org as well.
