Dreamcatcher really popped off with the horror rock concept back in 2017 and hasn't stopped since. I'm so glad to see all these amazing groups different takes on darkness. I'm proud to see the genre grow bigger with this amazing talent

clc nor red velvet have a dark concept. red velvet is pretty versatile with their concepts and although they’ve done dark concepts before, it has been done enough to say that the group’s concept is dark or horror. they just happen to have that sm quirkiness that no other company can achieve.

@@mapa-dr6tu the term “concept” isn’t used for the song’s meaning but music video concept and the way the song sounds. majority of the music and mvs red velvet have released sound very bright, elegant, and chic. the mvs are also unique with a pop of color everywhere. last time red velvet had a dark concept was psycho era. feel my rhythm had a bit of creepy elements here and there with the bird masks and stilts but the song was bright and elegant. red velvet is very versatile so you can’t really say they have a dark concept.
If you can't look at Peekaboo, Psycho, and Really Really Bad Boy or the MV to Russian Roulette and say 'Yeah that's pretty dark" then something is wrong with you. They absolutely crush dark concepts. That's not even discussing Monster
@@autumneagle rbb wasn’t even a dark concept.💀they had a halloween concept and the intention weren’t even for it to be scary or eerie. it was more comedic, showing the girls running from the wolf like they were in some sitcom. psycho wasn’t a dark concept either. it was an elegant concept and the setting and clothing choice just happened to be dark to give it that look. the video had no horror elements at all and neither did the song. the rest are a given. but yall gotta realize that there’s a difference between a mv looking dark because of it’s setting and the concept actually having horror elements.
I was anime lover and I'm still a fan of Kalafina and Sound Horizon(Japanese band). I'm glad that I found Kpop groups with horror concept. I love the group I found before them too but I somewhat addict to the songs with dark aura LOL
